    Hi guys,

A while ago we tried to have content creators from the community feed us videos from our servers to be uploaded to our youtube channels. This came across some issues and ultimately we decided to put the program on hold until we were comfortable with another way of running things.

I am glad to announce that today is the day! using one of the servers and a program called resilio we think that we have come up with a strategy that will work and should offer a more consistent experiance for all.

**Priority Message from the Tanoan government**
NATO, we’ve recently begun working on a large bridge to connect one of the smaller islands in our country to one of our main islands. The bridge itself will serve as a key area for linking one of our militarized islands for rapid deployment to other islands for ground vehicles, and the bridge should finish in a few months. However, we have heard word from one of our informants that guerilla forces are planning to try to destroy the progress we have made on the bridge. Worse, they seem to have some paramilitary gear provided from who we believe to be CSAT, but we cannot confirm it. For now, we need to make sure that nothing happens to this bridge. If you are able to rappel their attacks and blow away any defensive areas they set up and dig into, you could easily blow away at their morale and cause them to flee. Shock and Awe gentlemen, and from what we here, NATO is very good at that…
    NATO primary objectives:
-Defend the bridge for 60 minutes: There are 2 key support struts on the end of the bridge. You must make sure that the enemy does not get to the end of the bridge and demolish these key support structures, or else the bridge will collapse.
    NATO secondary objectives:
-Destroy enemy mortar position: we expect that the enemy will set up a mortar emplacement to assist their forces. Destroying this emplacement will help the defense in the bridge. (Actual effect: -15 minutes on the defense timer)
    NATO Assets:
-Defensive emplacements and statics (provided by the Tanoan government)
    -1 Lightly Armored Vehicle (Marshall)
    -1 Pawnee for CAS
-1 Mortar team (to be done by a person (no target computer)or Zeus)

    CSAT OBJECTIVES
     -Harass NATO forces
    CSAT Assets:
-1 Sniper team (sniper and Spotter, reserved to P057code and whoever he chooses for spotter)

Hey guys! This is another Liru Mission, and it’s going to be a very large scale operation. You WILL feel the pressure of an overwhelming force for this defense mission to the point where you might feel like it’s a Luetin09 defense operation! Utilize your support effectively here, and work your hardest to get the objective done! I’ll balance this as best I can so it’s enjoyable, but NOT impossible. Putting the right people for these assets is key, and don’t worry: these guys are guerrillas, not true military forces. I wouldn’t expect to be fighting any armor, more so a bunch of infantry and technical and such.
I’ll provide some pics soon, and the sign-up sheet will open on Sunday.

    Operate Operationally ladies and gentlemen!

Ok guys, so I've refined everything slightly for the sake of artistic appeal, and am working on putting an arsenal in the main base, so CONSIDER THIS A BREIFING

-You'll spawn in the north west corner of the island you are defending. This is where your ground vehicles, such as HEMMT based vehicles, cars, Marshall, and Pawnee spawn. Timers for vehicles will be set to 5 minutes, and player respawn timers will be set to a minute.

Command squad's goals: pick a spot for your defensive artillery and a place that overlooks most of the island. Battle "Command" Tower 3, a tower that is at the center of the island on a large hill, is a good place to achieve this, and even has a good clearing right next to it for the Mortar to set up. The tower also has a .50 mounted towards the bridge, a titan AT pointed in the same direction, and AA pointed in the cardinal directions. Use them at your discretion, and make sure you let your forces know where the enemy is coming from. It could be from anywhere!

Squad 1: You are the main defensive line on the bridge. Expect the unexpected, as to the enemy will throw all they have at you. Stick in cover and on high ground: the enemy will have mortars that you might consider coordinating with squad 2 on how to deal with them. You'll have static AT and .50 in place, as well as allied Tanoan police forces to assist you. They aren't trained for this style of operation, but they'll help where they can.

Squad 2: Your placement is dictated by your commander because you are the Quick Response Force. If your commander wants you to reinforce the bridge, do so. If the Marshall needs ammo, get the HEMMT ammo and assist them. If a plane is heard overhead and you see parachutes, ask your commander if you are to go mow them down. If boats are sited, you're the force that is to move out and take care of them. There are two other smaller bases on the east and west sides of the map that have a .50, so use them wisely.

Marshall Crew: The commander dictates what you do, but the command squad can override and give you a new directive. There's a firing position on overwatch on the bridge that could be quite useful, however expect the same rules as the QRF.

CAS: You're only allowed to fire if the commander tells you to. No Lone Wolfing, no going rogue, only do what the commander asks of you. If the rules are broken, I will add AA assets and you're going to have a bad time.

CSAT Sniper team: You know what to do...

-After the mission "officially" begins, you'll have roughly 10 minutes to explore your island and set up a defensive protocol. If you join the server early, you're allowed to freely explore the island until first contact, but NOT step foot on the larger island (Put simply, if you do, you're guaranteed to encounter bandits) After first contact, you MUST report to your squad leader ASAP.

-Remember the side objective is risk vs. reward, and only will become available to do roughly 10 minutes into the mission after the first wave of mortar strikes.

-Brandenburg is the only one (other than some AI) that is allowed to wear a black beret. No one else may wear one, and Branden MUST wear one.

    Bigass post ahead:

Ok guys, I have 6 images of the AO for you guys!

Image 1: Behold, the unfinished bridge! The Tanoan Government will continue its construction after your operation

Image 2: The manmade dam that's helped the Tanoan government artificially block waves and helped them with making the bridge...

Image 3: Your defensive objective. This is one of the two support struts on the bridge. Defend them at all costs!

Image 4: The main base and a preview of the support vehicles you have access to!

Image 5: You won't be alone, the Tanoan government has dispatched a local police division to assist you! They've also set up some static MGs and titans to assist you in key positions!

Image 6: There are smaller sub military bases on other sides on the island, as well as battle towers for a height advantage! Use them to your advantage!

I have been playing these games since operation flashpoint and I have worked through all the ARMA titles mostly playing on the old BierAIG servers. I've always used this handle so if you've played on BierAIG servers then you have probably played with me.
Thanks for the fun servers, happy hunting.

    Hello everyone.

After playing the AhoyWorld servers on and off for quite some time, I figured I might aswell register here.
I'm 35, norwegian and been playing Arma since OFP, it's mostly been singleplayer though, the majority of my multiplayer has been done on AW servers.
I've really enjoyed the community I've met/seen on the AW servers and I am looking forward to future fun with you all!

    You asked, and I listened!
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRIORITY MESSAGE FROM THE TANOAN GOVERNMENT:
NATO, we just got word that our offshore shipping platform for exporting our goods has just come under attack from unknown hostiles! We’re suspecting the local guerrillas had something to do with it, and if the rumors are true, CSAT black ops forces are backing them. We’ve provided some images about the platform and its location below. This needs to be taken care of ASAP, this platform is key to our economy and we’ve lost contact with the workers on the platform. If the bandits really wanted to cripple us, it’s possible they might try to demo the platform…

    NATO OBJECTIVES:
    1.      Secure the hostages
    2.      Disarm the explosive satchels around the main platform
    SECONDARY:
    a.       Disarm AA points in secondary platforms for aerial reinsertion to be possible
    b.    Find out CSAT's interest in the platform
    c.    Eliminate CSAT's method of transportation
     ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey Guys! It's time for an offshore platform, and it is by far the most ambitious zeus project I've done in a long time! I’ve been running a small PMC style campaign on Tanoa with some of the more seasoned ahoyworld members (but some of the missions are planned to be open to the public, don’t you worry!) and this mission is going to serve as a test for one of the major missions in the storyline (that will be open to the public in about 3-4 weeks after this mission finishes). What we’re testing here is offshore platforms: they’re a pain in the butt to make but it’s very rewarding to set it all up. I have not decided if there will be a CSAT team yet, but if I see 4+ fire teams set up I’ll definitely have to allow some CSAT players in order to even things out.

Sign up sheet Closed BUT DROP INS ALLOWED
More images will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. Operate operationally ladies and gents :3

And remember to bring your mini submarines and dive gear!

this would be the stuff covered in the advanced section of the flight school for now lots of people seem to be interested and so ill probably organise this flight school. In the signup for it ill put a section on who wants to practise what. so if you're already familiar with flying but just want some explanation on the advanced techniques such as recovering from tailrotor loss and/or autorotating down.

I got my Timezones mixed up start of flight school will be at 8 pm GMT Terribly sorry for the inconvenience can everyone that will participate quickly confirm if they'll make it or not?

Just a quick Poll to see if people would like me and/or other experienced pilots from the ahoyworld community to continue Johns Flight school. In this flight school more experienced pilots would be training our greenhorn ahoy pilots in basic as well as more advanced flight techniques as well as common sense for pilots in general. Maybe even if enough people would like this kind of event we could also do a training Ops for Arma in general with basic tactical training as well as target shooting and other basic stuff.
See you out on the battlefield.

Since comments and people have been quite positive so far i've decided to go ahead with organizing the flight school. It'll most likely take place somewhere next week after the official release of Apex. Time and date so far will be: 13/07   starting from 11 PM GMT. Please message me if you are not able to make it on the specified date let me know through the normal comment section. I'll see how many of you can make it and maybe change the date if need be.

Thank you all so far for the comments and see you in the pilot seat ^^

I had used my sleepy brain and came up with idea which i would like to share with you all. You know that feeling, that after each side mission is complete you are hoping for some serious CAS vehicle to spawn? Well, you can stop hoping now becouse i have some Do It Yourself solution always available to you!

I present you my genious invention which i call Flying Offroad Ordonance Dispenser (FOOD for shorts ).

Step1: Get on teamspeak or form a squad to facilitate communications.
Step2: Increase your view distance in vehicle (so you can engage and lock far targets).
Step3: Take two (crazy) AT guys and loads of AT and AA missiles, which you shove in the trunk of an offroad.
Step4: Soar in the sky and rain down AT missiles from safe distance.

To be able to stand in the back with launcher ready to shoot i need to uneguip all weapons exept T-launcher, select turn out from action menu and then press "3".
