The AWE modpack doesn't have ALiVE. Do you mean the 124th MR modpack? Can you post a screenshot of the problem?

I'd gamble the beards are not what's holding those mods back.

I would like to remind everyone this thread is meant for us to discuss which mods to keep and which mods to dump. If you want to discuss possible new mods, please make a new thread.

I honestly doubt one of these training sessions would show you this. Either watching the weekly MSO streams/videos or playing in the server for real would be a better way to make a decision.

Hello. As some of you may know, we as a team voted on which mods we would personally prefer to keep in AWE. And as this is a community and the players make the server, we decided to reach out to a few of you privately and ask that same opinion. That wasn't enough, and we want to make sure we make the right decisions regarding the future of the server. As such, we want to hear everyone's opinion on the matter, which you can do here in this topic. Finally, here are the results. Also here are the results of the public map poll.

As a side note, this is not what happened at all. People know who they are, and how they behaved.

And old players needs to grow the hell up. That behavior will not stand in the next session, at all. Consider this your first warning if you intend on attending the sessions just to mess around.

I've read in many places Ryzen is more of a competitor for Intel's video editing processors. I'm sure an i5 or i7 would suffice. But if you have the money, go for it. That said, don't get an i3.

Yes, you're correct. I misunderstood you, and it was an error on the channel. It's all fixed now.

Everyone is forced PTT on the TFAR channel. It's not a problem, it's a necessity, because people aren't responsible enough to use voice activation properly. Therefore, all you need to do is set a PTT. You're forced to use it in the channel. I really don't see the issue. All you need to do is use the key. You don't need to change anything.

You'll never see yourself as locally muted. It only transmits when the blue icon lights up. I don't see the problem.

Humble Bundle usually has a lot of sales, but I believe companies participate mostly for publicity. Usually the games there are sold dirt cheap. Plus it helps charity. You get to choose how much goes to charity, and how much goes to the devs. When there's multiple companies, you decide how much each dev gets.

It's the lowest Arma 3 has ever been, IIRC. And it includes all past Arma games too.

@JaSmAn Ideally you use the radio to contact your squad. Normal radios are usually too short for this purpose if you're at base and your team's in the field. As such you can try using your in game tablet if it's a model with messaging capabilities. Last case scenario, use the in game group chat, but only as a last resort, when you can't contact them in any other way or can't get anyone else to contact them from base. Your radio will usually be in the right frequency from the get-go, so you don't really need to fiddle with it. Once in the AO, you should be able to use it to find your squad. As a side note, we held a basic training night the other day which would have been perfect for you. More of these will be held in the future, stay tuned for them.

If Alpha and Bravo are full, take a slot in Charlie. Alternatively ask a team leader, squad leader or platoon commander what slot they'd want you in.

It isn't because players don't make it so or don't care. I personally care a lot about radio protocol. But this discussion's for another time.

Keep in mind it's not the full franchise. It only has the Kart DLC for Arma 3.

All our servers are public. AWE is our modded server. The other two main servers run I&A3 (they aren't AWE). That said, check this topic. It might have the solution for your problem.

I'd love to join, but the time is not ideal for me. Alas. Hope it goes well regardless.
