  1. Two penguins walk into a bar... which is stupid because the second one should have seen it.
  2. It has six in the inventory and one in the chamber I think. Still no way to rearm though.
  3. @MoonFire You get anything good from today's training?
  4. For vanilla at least I believe only the Wasp and UCAV Sentinel will be able to land on the carrier with a tailhook, like they do in real life. (The F-18 and X-47B). I'm sure modders will bring out some different models to land on there in the future.

One in the backpack and well away from the action, lightening scares me too much to not have one to hand.

  7. The dynamic vehicle pool isn't necessary, if a SL wants to make the AO more interesting they are free to do so, I think its also unfair to force someone who is new to squadleading to cope with a potentially difficult vehicle situation, the role is hard enough for new players as it is. There's also the feasibility side of it, the pool would have to depend on the number of players online, the type of mission, it will require a 'standard loadout' of vehicles, which will also depend on these factors. What if you get a convoy mission where you have no armed vehicles?
  8. What if a squad lead blows all of the money, fails the mission and then leaves? Some poor sod has to pick up the pieces and everyone on the server has a crap time cos they've gotta walk 10km. They're nice ideas overall but just unsuitable for AWE.
  9. Common Sense Rule, a frontline soldier SHOULD wear a helmet, many people, such as myself, will sling one because of this. Tbf I've been domed just as many times with a helmet as without.
  10. It works both ways, although I was agreeing with OP
  11. Its a game, some people need to remember that.
  12. I'm all for this idea. But just a thought, if you have time to clear the grass, wouldn't you have time to dig a trench? Also, I'd rather have the ability to shoot back rather than being stuck in an animation if in the middle of a firefight.
  13. Throwback to Operation Desert Storm http://plays.tv/video/5894f9fedbd8c9223b/briefing-banter
  14. Had one of the blackhawks on abramia explode on take off. It wouldn't take off and just blew up after about 20 secs. (Left hand one if looking from the front)
  15. The renaming worked after the AW_ update, all good now
  16. I renamed all the mods, 16Gb remained 16Gb, maybe its a one off though
  17. Depending on the squad you join in the lobby, for example B1, that's who you should try to find on the battlefield. If you're unsure maybe wait for someone to respawn or join to help you find who you need. If you're on your own use the micro DAGR to find your fireteam. Radio procedure isn't a huge focus on AWE, unfortunately, however a simple 'Where is Bravo 1?' will do. You may have to repeat a couple of times as they may be in the middle of a firefight at the time, if you weren't hearing anything then probably incorrect radio channel. Above all find someone who looks like they know what they're doing. See you around on the battlefield. [EDIT] Damn you Ghost
  18. All it usually takes is someone giving a loud 'Lets get going' to give everyone the kick up the arse they need. Most of the time people are procrastinating because they think they are waiting for a plan or transpot etc, when everyone does this is when the problem starts. Of course it helps if teamleads and squad leads hurry everyone along as well.
  19. @Cebi Huge respect for you for speaking out. Those players' behaviour was disgraceful. And good luck to you Scar in the future, may you have all the Kumas.
  20. This is a lot of hassle over essentially a non-issue.
  21. The reason I keep my engines on when waiting is so that people don't think I'm afk, its all very well staying active in chat but most people won't associate the chat log with the pilot on the pad and that's what probably causes the vote kicks. Vortex is there for the benefit of the ground troops, so decisions should be made on behalf of them, however to that end, if you fly somewhere and someone decides they won't get out, just rtb and repeat as necessary, they soon get the message and if they give you any abuse get hold of an admin. I don't think people not saying anything in the heli is the end of the world, in the end, most people on a public server are there for an hour or so of fun and won't really care where they're put.
