    GREUH Liberation

Sounds great to me! To address the problems of time and such we may still want to have EU#2 available as normal I&A for the duration of Liberation incase people simply don't want to participate. Other than the possibly long waiting times, it sounds amazing!

@Chuck Norris If you don't mind, what does AWE stand for and what do you mean by "Gauntlet"? Thanks

    EU Servers

Hello all, I had a few questions regarding the several EU servers. - I know that EU#1 - EU#2 are modless and are not whitelisted. Are there any tips or tricks that some vets know about these two servers? - I was wondering if EU#3 was whitelisted, if not what is the IP, port and mod list. (I would really like join this server, so any info is appreciated!) - I didn't know there was a EU#4 and EU#5, any info on what goes on there is appreciated! Mods, community, ops, etc! I know that EU#1,2,4,5 are all posted on a pinned post above but don't know what goes on in EU#4 and 5. EU#3 is missing and was wondering if anyone had any info on that server. Thanks --Doc
  5. @Amentes Why remove one? Some times I feel that we might need more...
  6. For me personally, - I would like to see the new UCAV drone added to the drone pool, but not fully replace the greyhawks. Maybe have one like the Huron compared to the rest of the helicopters. - I also think that the USS Freedom should be added somewhere near the center of the map, in that "bay" right below the "main" airfield. I also think that it should be an FOB available for use. Primarily for VORTEX pilots to access the new Jets and possibly have the UCAV drone there. - I also think that dogfighting missions should be a thing over the main AO. Say when all Tigresses are destroyed, a enemy Jet spawns above and the only real way to take it out is to have a VORTEX pilot take a get and shoot it down. - I personally believe that we should add maybe 1 or 2 more VORTEX slots just to accommodate the new planes, if added that is. That is just my thoughts, maybe I'm just overly-excited and really want to see new things. --Doc
  7. Hello all, Well I was wondering what the player-base and what the admins were thinking in regards to the new Jets DLC. For example, - Will the new UCAV Drone be added in addition/replacement of the Greyhawks? - Do you think the USS Freedom should be added somewhere on the map? - Should we have dog-fighting/air-superiority side missions? - Do you think more VORTEX slots should be added to accommodate the new planes? - Should there be a permanent FOB set up on the USS Freedom (if added) - Will the new jets even be added? What do you guys think and what do you want to see?! I would like this to become a thread for the admins to see what the community wants in regards of the new DLC. And admins, if you can, please tell us what you guys have decided on already! --Doc
  8. @GamerbugUK @fir_nev I think that we might be able to meet a common ground here on this matter. GamerbugUK doesn't want this to become a overpowered beast where we just have 100 AT soldiers crowded around one truck reviving each other and bombarding the AO with missiles. fir_nev wants to help out the players and have a revive and heal point, which is very understandable. I think that we might be able to reach a compromise that will fulfill the requirements that fir_nev wants but doesn't exceed what GamerbugUK think's is too OP. I believe that this 'new' HEMMET medical should be able to transport troops, but has extremely limited inventory space. The inventory space, which will be tiny, should be primarily used for FAK's. This way we still have that hospital on wheels but its not also a armory on wheels. But I also think that we have one more issue to fix before anything else happens. This kind of ties into one of my posts on re-doing the side missions, but we need a Taru(correct me if i'm wrong, pilots) to airlift these HEMMET. Now, ill admit, I have driven a HEMMET Medical to an AO once, to set up that FOB but it took forever and the AO was quite close to base. If the admins to implement this system for the HEMMET Medical and don't implement a good way to transport it, well, I think that it will "die" off and no-one will use it. I think that a good compromise to allow the players to get their hands on a Taru could be by completing the "Secure Enemy Helicopter" side mission. This logically makes sense, a CSAT helicopter, Taru, is secured for NATO use. We could then ask VORTEX to fly that HEMMET out to the AO. If GamerbugUK or if anyone else feels that we should not have this special HEMMET Medical truck right from the start, that is understandable. (I'm not saying this is what I want, I am simply proposing ideas if people don't agree with mine) What we could do if the admins and player base did not want the HEMMET Medical always around because of its OPness we could do something similar to the Taru. It could be earned through a side mission. Now I think that we might need to invent a side-mission for this, maybe "Secure Enemy Truck" or "Assault Enemy Hospital". After a successful completion of this this new and improved HEMMET Medical truck will spawn at base. As seen in fir_nev's videos that he posted, it is an extremely valuable resource that is just plain awesome! But that's just my two cents on the matter. What do you guys think about this idea? -Doc
  9. @fir_nev I really like the idea of this. A buddy of mine and I set up an temporary FOB with a couple of HEMMETS loaded with gear and the zeus even helped by adding a few assets. If the Medical HEMMET became what you are describing, I can see it becoming a common rallying point for troops to gather and organize. This could be especially helpful because the HEMMET medical has great inventory space as well as troop transport capabilities. Getting back to your idea of the HEMMET being a medical station on wheels, I think you might be able to take it one step further. Now im not sure if this is what you meant in your post or not but I think that if a normal rifleman is able to carry their buddy to the HEMMET Medical, that rifleman should be able to revive him there. This would function similar to the ACE Medical system of a designated medical vehicle. If this is not what you were thinking, there will probably be more than a few medics around that HEMMET than can help. I also really like the idea of death-chat being re-added. As mentioned above, this simple addition of one vehicle could radically change AW and I&A in a very good way, people might become a lot more organized, communicate and work together efficiently because they have this common rally point to meet, rearm, heal and get back out there. But sadly I only think that this will ever be able to be accomplished if they fix the revive bug and remove insta-death. Its a great idea and I would really like to see it added to I&A!
  10. @fir_nev @TheScar Thank you very much sir! I was going through the profile options, not account settings. Thanks to everyone!
  11. @razgriz33 I have come across several specific bugs that others may have mentioned: 1. In some instances, there is no available option to revive, drag, carry etc. This could be a texture glitch but the medical revive "symbol" is above there body where is should be. 2. Insta-death is something that I strongly disagree. I understand that in most cases you do down and any damage after that kills you, but when you and your squad accidentally runs into a tigris and as the medic see your screen fill up with red revive symbols and then have the explosive rounds finish off your teammates can be very frustrating. A "fix" of this would be to be invincible after death and have two options available, one to call for a medic, this would increase your star of life symbol. (Similar to pinging a zeus, your player icon increases in size and then gradually shrinks) The second button would be a "give up" button where you just respawn. 3. When dragging a teammate and you are killed, your teammate is stuck in the drag position, unable to be revived for "re-dragged". That's all the major bugs and a suggestion! --Doc
  12. Thanks for the reply Scar, sadly I have gone to my profile and I don't see anything. I'm thinking that it could have to do something with my Rep/Time on forum. Are the signatures something to be unlocked? Thanks, Doc
  13. Yeah, I agree with gamer bug. Currently the mission is a pain in the butt, the search area is too large, AI too good and having structures underwater doesn't go so well with ArmA physics. I also think that gamer bug did propose a good idea with the new Jets DLC. I think that employing the carrier as a permanent FOB is a good idea and have the underwater demolition mission spawn near by is also a great idea.
  14. Hello, Sorry to be bothering you all with such a stupid question that i'm sure ill be beating myself up over for the next few nights after its answered but...... How on earth do I add a signature to the end of my posts. I've seen many people with .jpgs, text and other media in a box below their comment. Is it a simple attachment when you write the post or is it in the profile options? Thanks, Doc

    Rewards Rework

I really like the idea of a point system but I think that many might find it frustrating when they have been used to our current system for son long. (This is just constructive criticism here) I believe that a viable alternative would be increasing Side-Mission and Priority-Target mission count. Increasing in variety, rewards for completing and more "creative" ideas behind them. I also believe that the point system might turn into a snowball effect and turn into a 'monopoly' of sorts. Lets take a tank crew for example, lets say this tank crew is ex-milsim and is highly competent. They might be able to keep their tank online for several hours, returning to base to rearm and refuel as needed. This could be fustrating for a second tank crew that wants a go but can't because you only allow one. In my opinion, I like our current system but I do think it does need a upgrade in the variety and reward department. --Doc
