For those wondering also, I have talked to a member of staff too, nobody is exempt from the rules. It would be nice if the fun times you all have on our servers would be the time actually playing than the time spent messing around.

Started this thread to address a few things and try to outfuck myself with some of the fellow ahoy family, here goes...
 
First of all I would like to apologise to anyone who I have annoyed and to those who I have definitely annoyed, yeah stuff has gone bad with me and I aint been the best guy but there's a lot of issues going on right now and I just wanna let ya'll know.
 
1. I got IRL shit happening, kinda stressful and not just that but I got a few bad things happening which I would rather not talk about.
2. I get insulted many times ingame, mainly EU3 because of me being a prat at times and because some people just don't like me for some odd reason, I have addressed this with other people on the server who understand.
3. EU3 has lost it's touch for me, I feel a major loss in people wanting to do new things since EU3 was launched and with newbies I find myself and others teaching more than learning new things.
4. List goes on for other stuff I'd rather not type.
 
So again, sorry and i'm trying my best to change things but right now I'm just gunna have a cooldown time, possible just change to a realism unit, possibly... *whispers in ear* possibly...
 
Overall Ahoy World is the best group I have ever had the pleasure of playing with and quiet frankly you deserve better, sorry.

P.S: If any admins need to know about the EU3 incident, talk to Josh or me, I have witnessed more problems that has been addressed and my incident with Dildor isn't anywhere near as bad as what other people did, not naming names but some you wouldn't believe would be doing something they did.

Unfortuetly we had a bit of a rough day on EU3 too. It's a shame realy, cause normaly EU3 has a solid player base that knows to just have fun within the ruleset. Let's hope it was the last time, and just focus on having fun in a nice and non-rule-violating way.

I'd have to agree with everyone here. Well done for being honest but you could of put A LOT more effort into appealing your ban tbh.. 

I get bored too but you don't see me running around ruining other people's fun for my own enjoyment. #jogon

Same here, plus, i see no effort to explain how their behavior will change now, its written in almost the same bored style as what started the ban in the first place. Maybe he should first do some effort to actualy make you (the admins) give him a second chance.

I don't know what the admins think about this but in my opinion people who teamkill because they are bored don't belong in this community, not even after a month.

So rather than me write out another post quoting mostly stuff from the three guides Dslyecxi has, I'm just going to link everyone to this whole section. It's well worth a read for everyone, even if you've read it before.
 
I also think we should start putting some of this stuff into practise such as the buddy system etc,

Squad leading takes a bit of time to learn (writting from personal experience), plus not everyone can do it (not directed at anyone), it`s just something I`ve come to realize after being in a squad for 3 years and involved in some basic training.
 
As someone pointed out Dyslexis guide, it is very useful, you need some basic knowledge about formations, movement, positioning, etc. Mostly, you have to find your own way to lead a squad, your own system. As you said, maybe start with a smaller team, or just a fireteam within the squad and then build on that.
 
Other thing that can be useful is to give command radio comms to your RTO (radio operator - rifleman with a radio). So you only have to focus on your squad only and (constant) radio comms don`t distract you.

I voted for Cherno and Takistan, mostly because they run really good in A3 engine (played with them on a different server), also some other A2 maps run really well, Reshmaan, Capraia, Namalsk, Podogorsk.
 
There are alse a few really awesome maps updated to A3 standards like Panthera, Isla Duala.
 
As for Bornholm and X-Cam, massive FPS drops while playing the maps. X-Cam is more of a prototype map, not build for any serious playing, as for Bornholm, needs a lot of upgrading to run smoother.
 
Anyway, looking forward with joy to what is gonna happen next.
