  1. Indeed. Both options will limit the accesibility of items based on the roll that player is running. However the casual option would mean all blufor items would be within the arsenal and you can run whatever you want whenever you want within normal gameplay. This adds options for you and shouldnt demote from gameplay as its only cosmetics that change. 

  2. and vaccums also have a good habbit of generating static. Though i would note that newer stuff HDD,SSD,MOBO,GPU are very static resiliant and should be fine. Though its best not to try as it will void warrenty if its detected usually

  3. That wasn't really the point [mention=4388]GhostDragon[/mention]; I suggest a vacuum cleaner, a duster and a screwdriver. That's what I use.
    Never vaccum a motherboard. Risks pulling capacitor/resistors off the board. Cloth is ok as long as it is micro fiber.

    0 - Sometimes you just need to kick a player from a slot he was failing to use properly, also, ban / timeout times should be determined by staff, not by a generic hardcoded value.
    1 - Why prevent people who've lost connection from rejoining as fast as they can???
    2 - I'm assuming this only includes people who have been listed by BattlEye.
    3 - Same as 1.
     
    The point is, unless I'm a regular, I won't bother waiting to join / rejoin a server that gives me an automated timeout for reasons I most likely have had no influence on.
    The main thing this creates is just systemChat spam and frustated players trying to figure out what they did wrong in order to deserve the very helpful error message "Due to how the server is set up...".
    Sounds like a good way to continually lose some (potential) server population.
    Apart from maybe 2, depending on what it actually is, I only see negative effects for EU#1 coming from using the current values.

    Funny, to say you are the only one I have heard complaints from and you don't actually know what values we have!

Some of them are questionable; I joined the server, loaded the  mission, Alt + Tabed out for a second, Arma became unresponsive as it sometimes does when I Alt + Tab from it, I killed it from the Task Manager, started it back up again aaaaaaaand couldn't connect to the server until five minutes had passed. What's the benefit of that? I don't know.
    Clearly it has the unintended benefit of winding you up!

    But i might have a look depending public opinion we might revise the the values.

  6. I would just like to add that currently in the I&A rules it is stated clearly:

    4.4.1.If you are operating a support asset like a mortar or a CAS plane/helicopter you are not allowed to kill the entire AO. Support assets are there to support the infantry this means that infantry have to call these support assets in.

     

    So if people are abusing the roll you can have us look into it and we will see what we can do to ensure that all players have an enjoyable experience. 

  7. I've got to say that I much prefer the Stiletto style gameplay, with varying missions and maps. I&A has its place, and a modded version of it would be fun, but EU3 has always been that special something that has a little for everyone no matter what time of day it is, or how many people are playing.
     
    That being said, as a huge fan of tactical ops, if the current EU3 rules were enforced on this IA4 modded server then I can see it having a similar feel with people still needing to work together and the like. I know that I'd play it over EU1!
    It will be AWE, the mission is I&A but it will utilise the new mission that ryko has made(I&a4) this is because it is easier for us to manage and the gameplay will scale. Meaning that it will be a more tactical style of gameplay compared to the eu1 and 2 servers
  8. Hello all

     

    The state of the enhanced server is worryingly quiet. We have listened to the community many times and the outcry for a smaller mod-set was wanted, we delivered and yet the status barely changed. So we have decided to close the server for a short period of time, this will allow us to take the time out to look into the modset, mission and overall direction of the server. We will keep you updated as to the status of the server here.

     

    The server will close on the evening of sunday 27th january. We hope it will be back soon to offer a new modded arma experience for you all to enjoy.

     22:24:31 Performance warning: SimpleSerialization::Write 'params' is using type of ',TEXT' which is not optimized by simple serialization, falling back to generic serialization, use generic type or ask for optimizations for these types


    I believe these 2 are arma had them before in other missions
