  1. Like what Pero said, if it's obvious to a player that Zeus is controlling a unit, then you're probably doing something wrong. Too many times I've been shot down by a Zeus controlled unit when I know that an AI controlled one wouldn't have shot at me. I'd rather have a squadron of AI controlled Neophrons sent to kill me, than one Zeus controlled one. Second thing, whenever you spawn in units (reinforcements etc), make sure that they're well away from players, and for air vehicles increase that distance even more.
  2. So is the Kajman and the Blackfoot, which can do far more damage to an AO than the Wipeout, but I don't see the heli rearm take 5 minutes. A better solution would be to change the rearm time based on the vehicle, if that's possible.
  3. David the jet we get (Buzzard AA) has only AA missiles and a 20mm cannon, it's no good for taking down ground vehicles or infantry (not that it stops pilots from trying).
  4. I don't see what's so bad about having some Darters spread out across the map. It's very useful as it means that wherever an AO (or any other mission) spawns in, you will already have a Darter nearby (they move very slowly). 100% agree with this, the amount of wannabe snipers is painful. The longest range scope standard classes should have is the RCO, but even that is pushing it imo I kinda agree with this, but like xSniper1982 said, this will only make people use heavier vehicles and do the exact same thing, so removing them won't really change much. I think the HMG just needs a little nerfing (if possible), e.g. remove it's thermal vision modes/give it less ammo etc. I won't say anymore here as I know someone else will have plenty to say
  5. I'd say the repair truck can be found at (or very close to) it's spawn point 90% of the time. If not then a (nice ) admin/zeus can respawn it for you. If repair specs don't care then what makes you think someone would want to drive 8km for you? Unfortunately you need need a nice person to drive that vehicle, unless we could get Repair UAVs.... I quite like the idea of being repaired by a swarm of Darters Like xSniper1982 said, it's squishy. If the repair vehicle loses a wheel, and needs repairs itself, who you gonna call? GhostBusters! We have a repair truck, bobcat, (Huron liftable) repair crates, and some confused repair specialists. imo that's more than enough options. But whatever
  6. I can't say I'd have much use for this as when I go in for a rearm it's because I'm out of ammo, so I have no reason to break off early. It would be nice if the rearm time would be related to how much ammo/fuel/repairs you need, as that would minimise the problem of accidentally rearming a 2nd time. No doubt some pilots don't plan their rearms (that's if they stay alive long enough). Even the best pilot is helpless if the RT is the last thing to be done in an AO, leaving you no choice but to risk a rearm whilst there is enemy CAS spawning in.
  7. Unfortunately there are many other people on EU1/2 and they play very differently to you. I'm sure you would agree that Secure Intel is the most commonly failed mission when done by plebs. As for the Offroad Repair - clearly you haven't seen the two very capable repair vehicles that already respawn at base, not to mention how much easier it would be to just have a repair spec in the convoy Then you finish off with a mediocre and irrelevant gif, disappointing post Scar...
  8. Priority Target missions never give rewards, only the normal Side Missions. Although it is an interesting idea that different missions could give different rewards (still with some randomness ofc). Rewards like the Offroad (repair) shouldn't be awarded for ANY missions, as it's useless, same goes for rewarding us with vehicles that already spawn at base.

    Player report form

Great work for getting this made, this is exactly what we needed. Is it weird that I'm excited about this? Could you give some info on what sort of screenshots would be best in the case of a TKer. Example screenshots: TKs in chat: This is the easiest evidence to provide since anyone can get those even if you're not able to see the killings in person. TKs in action: Potentially very good evidence, however this can be quite difficult depending on how he's killing people. Votekicks: If you (the reporter) gets screenshots of different players using the "votekick" functionality already ingame, as that could serve as lots of mini-reports. No doubt the best way would be for all the players on at the time to submit their own reports, however I don't think most people would actually be bothered to do it. Also a mini-suggestion, if possible make it so that votekick cannot be spammed, e.g. put it on a 10 second timer or something so that players can't spam it.
  10. The problem with your "solutions" is that they require competent players, this is EU1 we're talking about here... Enemy CAS becomes a big issue when there aren't enough experienced players online to babysit all the nubs
  11. You can already change it at the pilot spawn sorry Iran
  12. Perhaps some sort of form could be made where players can submit things like: TKer name, rough time of TK, screenshots, and maybe some comments on the incident. That way players can report it at the time of it happening, rather than waiting for an admin and having to explain it to them hours later through TS, which I have done before and it isn't exactly smooth.
  13. I agree something should be done about enemy CAS, there are quite a few ways to solve it. The Taru is already a side mission reward. If you're suggesting for it to be added as a respawning heli then I don't think that's a good idea.
  14. The points system is very unreliable since there are MANY things that you can do which you don't get points for, however I don't consider that an issue since I (and most others) don't play to get points, and neither should you! You should be reviving people because that's the right thing to do, not because you get 5 points for it. Also for the argument that it will encourage medics to heal/revive people, I don't think those medics are even aware of the points system, hell they probably don't even realise they're medics!
  15. When you spawn as a pilot by the VAS box there's a static NPC standing there and by looking at him you can get them.
  16. I'm not sure when they changed it back, but it's been 1st and 3rd person for at least a few days now. Disabling 3rd person was done for a special Zeus mission a while ago, (I assume) the admins forgot to add 3rd person back when the mission was over.
  17. I assume it's not intended (like Mark said), but maybe it could stay with 3rd person disabled, I think it's a waste to have 2 servers running the exact same gamemode/settings etc. Maybe this could be the start of making EU2 a SLIGHTLY more tactical/realistic server compared to EU1. I don't mean anything major, same I&A and still no required mods but it could fit nicely between casual EU1 and more tactical EU3. This might not be the best place to post this idea but I was reading this thread when I thought of it
  18. I could probably list a hundred stupid things that players often do around minefields. But to keep it simple, nobody should be going anywhere near the minefield unless: They have explosives to take down the Radio Tower AND there are not others already in the minefield. Medics are obviously very useful and it is very important that they are kept alive, so I'd recommend AGAINST going into a minefield unless absolutely necessary. However I understand this is something that will probably never change. I suspect that the sorts of players who are always getting blown up in minefields won't be reading this post.
  19. Could I get some more info on the SE server, I searched the forums but couldn't find anything on it
  20. Rather than adding more vehicles you could replace the (inferior) Mora and the (useless) Panther with another Marshall and/or Slammer, as they are more popular. Personally I'd really like to see at least two Marshalls spawning in base, as it's a vehicle I like to use but very often there's someone else using it. I'm not sure how I feel about tank crew slots, there's pros and cons to it. Something that hasn't yet been mentioned is whether or not any of the tank crew slots will be able to use repair kits to repair the tank (or any other abilities like AT or medic). If not then that'd be a pretty big nerf to anyone using tanks.
  21. I have to strongly disagree with the AA buzzard being "very effective taking down wheeled targets and infantry". Whilst it is technically possible to destroy an ifrit, you need a stupid amount of cannon round to do so, with the same number of rounds you could destroy multiple air targets. As for infantry, you pretty much need a direct hit to actually kill someone, considering you're in a jet moving at high speed and your target looks like an ant, I don't think it's a very good idea either. The time it takes a new AO to spawn is nowhere near 15 mins, probably more like 1 or 2 mins. One thing I can agree on: "you might aswell give cas support" supporting other players who are in dedicated CAS helicopters/jets, e.g. helping them out with enemy air threats, is a very good idea, and that's exactly what the AA buzzard is for! I know this isn't what you even meant
  22. Although I would rather have a repair truck than a refuel truck, I think there should be both as often a damaged heli will have a fuel leak meaning that very quickly it can be out of fuel and that's something even a repair spec can't fix.
  23. I'm sure a bobcat would work some of the time, but the problem is that you're fucked if it doesn't work. Or if some numpty has decided to drive off to the AO with the bobcat... Imagine that the cookie is the bobcat, the milk is the helicopter, and the glass is the helipads. Your solution only ends up with the cookie getting stuck in the glass and still too far away from the milk. Our (superior) solution is to have a glass with cookie already in it!
  24. 100% agree with Tyberius here, many times I've seen broken helicopters abandoned in the heli pads because they can't be repaired by vehicles and repair specs very rarely do their job. Often the helis are damaged by enemy CAS or other people shooting in base, so giving priority for people on TS won't solve this. It's not fair to expect people to blow up the heli if it can't be repaired, as then they're breaking server rules and risk getting kicked. I don't know if it's possible, but it would be good if the repair vehicle inside the heli pads (whatever that vehicle may be), would only partially repair helicopters (like repaired by a repair spec). This way it would allow the helicopters to fly away, but would still require them to go to the normal repair pad to be fully repaired.
  25. Decrease the AA Buzzard re-arm time >>> AA Buzzard is more effective at taking down enemy CAS >>> Profit Having spent a lot of time on EU1 flying the Buzzard I've found that the biggest challenge is not shooting down enemy CAS or staying alive, but ammo conservation. My main thought whenever I'm in the air is to try and take down the enemy CAS with as little missiles/cannon-rounds as possible. The reason for this is that it takes ages to rearm the jet at base, easily 6-8 minutes if you include take-off and landing. That is a very long time if you compare it to the time it takes to do anything else in the game, e.g. you can re-arm an Mi-48 Kajman attack heli in about 10 seconds. I'm sure there are many ways to fix the issue of "Too much CAS", but in my opinion the best would be to reduce the Jet re-arm time to around 2 minutes. If possible keep the current 5 min re-arm time for the Wipeout and Neophron since they are far more powerful.
