Agreed with Eggmuffin. Formations can work but it's a huge hassle to practice. CQB movement seems far more important than running through a field in a line. I see people run out into the street without calling out that they are crossing, or without proper cover. I'd love to see squadleads use formations, but the hassle... Eww... To be honest, the hammering on having to use formations it is really putting me off, you can't blame squadlead for some people being incompetent when it comes to formations. The difference is load-out weight also making running proper formations a huge hassle. Perhaps you could add a class for proper use of maptools and distance 'guesstimate' for scopes and other tools besides the range finder? Knowing the proper range is quite important for scope zeroing.

I don't necessarily agree on the pilot remark. I'm not a great pilot, but I'm not terrible either. I would find it a terrible shame if I were to be expelled from taking that slot if I wouldn't qualify to some of the standards. I guess you should let people be pilots depending on how crowded the server is. Give a more competent pilot a slot when there's a big crowd.

Moar targets plox. Formations worked with A1, it looks hella cool too. Overall the mission was a bit bland. Lots of waiting, lots of walking, lots of driving and I ended with a de-brief of 2 confirmed kills for me. Not because I'm a bad shot but simply because all enemies were is teeny tiny groups which were all so quickly wiped. Considering Algante was ZEUS guiding some enemies he could easily have spawned in some extra enemies or put a IED along one of the roads simply to spice up the game a bit. I try to see the gamenights as those moment where there's serious gameplay going on which creates some epic memories. But just routine sweep and clear isn't going to cut it, it does need to have a O-SHIT moment every now and then.

Yep, you find the window where the sea just about calms down and the ship levels out. It reminds me of the largest pipe-laying and drilling-platform decomissioning vessel I've visited last week. It's called the Pioneering Spirit (formerly Pieter Schelte). To safely remove the top of the drilling platform they have to raise it 2 meters. This all happens in a timespan of 20 seconds using 8 giant cyclinders and by emptying some quick flood balast tanks. 20 seconds is about the time of a wave rolling through and effecting the ship. You don't want a couple of hundres of tonnes come crashing down on the jacket structure underneath. Technology is cool

It was fun to see you struggle. You were really caught up in the game If I remember the correct fight I was your autorifleman and I tried very hard to keep stay calm around you with the incoming fire from all directions. You did great for a first timer though. You kept everyone together as a team, which is very important in a situation like that. I've dabled into a few attempts at squadlead or teamlead myself and I often find myself to be over cautious. Which is often found to be more annoying than making a mistake and ending up in a shitstorm, at least people get to shoot then, and it might even be a challenge not to get overrun. If you're scared of squadlead or teamlead now, don't be. Just get an experienced medic or teamlead in your squad and they will assist you in your duties. Just tell people you're not experienced, they'll at least understand
