  1. If we don't get much more interest on this I'll just change it to something a little more peaceful I'll bump it to the front page and see what we get
  2. Following our retreat at Krymsk we've learnt of a red supply route that must be cut. High value targets for this operation will involve several convoys that are mobilising at 1700UTC. As usual I'd like you chaps to post your interest, what aircraft you'd like to fly and if you have any ideas for the plan then feel free. So: Primary Objective - Find the convoy(s) and inflict as much damage on them as possible Secondary Objective - Destroy the small BUK site at Krymsk air base, secure airspace and maintain air superiority

    New Mic

me personally if it is just for gaming, a standard headset microphone does the job. i use a razer blackshark. Rarek knows a thing or two about quality microphones...anybody know where he is?
  4. What's more important is the right outcome, Danny is on the case but it's best not to rush, you wouldn't want us to rush through every ban appeal, he may be a little busy to respond right now but again, he is working on it. With that I'll leave this thread alone so I don't confuse anything.
  5. Most liked/played: 1. DCS 2. Squad 3. Arma 3 4. Train Sim 5. Euro Truck Sim Multiplayer Disliked: 1. DayZ 2. Reus 3. Counter Strike: global offensive Wishlist: 1. Oculous rift 2. DCS:F18 3. Cities Skylines 4. Metal Fear Solid V 5. Fallout 4 6. The Witcher 3
  6. Bug I'd love to jump on for a game with you on EU2, grab me in teamspeak some time and if i'm free i'll join ya
  7. King of the Memes! I personally haven't taken a peek at the rewards but mobile mortar truck has to be one of my favourites
  8. Bear with us, we're not done yet I've been mega busy today, and still am, currently writing out two posts juggling two events, all over our messaging service, assigning tasks to our mission manager, eu3 manager, taking event requests from members etc. I've got at least two more FA's to come but i'm simply running out of time in the day.
  9. oh i should say, if there isn't that much interest in this, I'll can it and do a peaceful flight from A->B with a shooting range at the end
  10. okay so to update the plan of attack, oh and by the way feel free to post any ideas/diagrams or just even what you want to fly PART 1 (figure 1.1) I'll be leading a SEAD flight to knock out AA and AAA armed to the teeth with mavericks, meanwhile my flight will be escorted by frozt and dingo (probably F15s), Manoeuvring from north to south holding at some northern location first (I'll designate that as IP FORD later). Sweeping south to clear any anti air threats and to land back at base to switch to a CAS load out or switching to a KA50 (situation dependant) PART 2 (figure 2.0) Meanwhile, fuel forgiving hopefully our fighter cover has a chance to re-arm/re-fit one at a time while we build our defence and also hopefully we get a flight to knock out the artillery at the rear of their lines. Figure 1.1 Figure 2.0
  11. You joining my flight as an F15? I'd love some cover
  12. To make an example of encouraging a plan we form together, I'll start the ball rolling, initially I'll do a SEAD run in an A10C, aiming to knock out shilka's and any other anti air threat, then i'll head home and pick up a CAS loadout. see picture for my route exposing the northern weakness. I'll need some escort in the form of a fighter if anybody's game?
  13. Good day to ye pilots! at 1130UTC we will counter attack Russian forces just off of krymsk, our last attack on the 23rd didn't go to plan and our helicopter assault was halted at a line of strong tanks. We did however discover a weakness on the northern flank and as such through the week I would encourage you as flight lieutenants to insert yourself into the battle. Together we'll make a plan on this thread. Key Points from intel gathered: - Enemy Air force is operating su27 su25 and maybe helicopters - Front Line of tanks are strong - Northern area is weak - Friendly AWACS will be airborne at 1130UTC - We are expecting the Russians to assault our front lines aggressively again - Enemy Artillery is a priority target - Shilkas will be advancing towards our front lines attempting to gain air superiority for their tank advance - IR AA will be covering their flanks
  14. Notify the user, record any uncomfortable situations or rule breaking, send any information to us. If you don't want unruly behaviour, help us deal with it, shadowplaying your incidents has been very helpful in the past and it will be for the future.
  15. RE: OP I started out with a logitec attack 3! fantastic stick to start into the world of flight simulation. Your build priorities (IN MY OPINION) are: 1.Joystick with twisty axis and throttle slider (essential for rotary flight without pedals) 2. add track ir (essential if no HAT switch) 3. add pedals 4. consider better stick, twisty action not required 5. consider HOTAS (Hands On Throttle And Stick) Try to get a stick that will sit comfortably between your legs, sounds daft but trust me you get so much more control. My Setup
  16. I found AhoyWorld through word of mouth. Me and Fergie often played arma2 together and met a player called taxi. This taxi chap then disappears for a while and fergie tells me he's found him, he's running a community called AhoyWorld under the name rarek. Then I joined, worked my way up to core staff and eventually was given ownership of the place looking forward to hearing everybody's stories
  17. I do admire you encouraging leadership ryko, we definitely could do with more of them, I guess in true AhoyWorld spirit, in our half relaxed/serious environment we have the option of choosing either system. Praise be to regulations team for keeping that vision
  18. yeah i can place some infantry it's going to be a late one chaps, after this evening's game night
  19. Here's my two cents, from looking at working examples in arma: Why? Communication is just one element of a successful sortie, quick reporting of initial contact can save lives, redundancy via incapacitation needs to be quick and easy. I believe everybody should be on the same page when hearing about the plan and being able to adapt to a new one instantly is vital, this is amplified in a high casualty scenario How? Who are you reporting that contact to, to try and be effective? your buddy? fire team leader? the next fire team? How can you maintain control in a poor situation? How can you pass orders down without repeating them over and over? What? Alpha on one UHF, Bravo on another UHF. MMG on another UHF, Tank drivers on another UHF, Pilot-copilot-crew chief on another UHF Command Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, MMG Leader or designated radio man on a common VHF Support assets on the JTAC/FAC VHF. The above is an ideal situation, however we often don't get a FAC, MMG team leader etc. In those cases we have to hand the responsibility to the next ranking person, with FAC is goes UP to commander first, then back down the tree towards alpha leader, if he's swamped with workload then he may delegate as a plat-co delegates to the FAC. If there is no MMG team leader then the gunner will have to set an additional channel in his UHF radio, and so on.
  20. I'll be platoon commanding so I'd better not miss it either I think i'll do it after the event
