Leaving enough space for players to vault over it but not for cars, but it's just an idea anyway. There are other objects that could be used to fence the spawn area.
 
 
Yea thats what I wanted to do, I didn't have much time to test it well yet, here's a sample mission to show the idea of using setVelocity: http://www.sendspace.com/file/7tuj52 Try to run over the friendly squad in front of where you spawn, the vehicle should "bounce" out and you wont be allowed to enter the area. But it only works on one direction, if you come from the other side you can pass by the trigger anyway. I will try to see how to use the vehicle direction to make it work on all sides of the trigger.
 
I used _veh setVelocity [0,20,0]; to stop the vehicle, a value lower than 20 lets the vehicle pass, 20 seems to stop it no matter the vehicle speed. You should try putting 120 or some high value like that, the vehicle bounces back at like 500kmh, its pretty funny.

Knowing the AI, the hostages would just as soon run like lemmings off a cliff than follow us.

idea i just thought of "hey have you got any ammo in the truck?"
 
why not make it a mobile ammobox?

Can shoot into base from outside, bullets don't disappear.

Some buddies I met on the server and I have been rolling out in our own little squad lately. We seem to work really well together.
 
Sorry for  the crappy quality on the screenshots. For some reason I have to play on lowest settings in multiplayer but on Singleplayer in the editor I can play on max. Im wondering if its because A3 isn't fully optimized yet or my pc sucks. My pc build is pretty nice though.

Hi everyone - I'm Rob (that name was taken on here and generally go by BackAnd2TheLeft or Legion FWAM in other games), been playing on AW pretty much every day since I found you and that was about 2 weeks after I started playing the awesome game that is ArmA 3, when the Alpha was first released!!
 
I'm in London, have my own business and love AW ArmA 3
 
My background is BF2 (hated BF3 and couldn't wait to buy a new machine when ArmA 3 was about to be released and so glad I did) and loads of other games going right the way back to the original hand held donkey kong and pac man.
