Bruce
I had some time spare, so thought watercooling would be fun.... It kinda is, and isnt, all mixed in together ... and some extra stress thrown in for good measure Spec Obsidian 800D case AMD 1090T OC @4Ghz 8GB Corsair Vengeance Intel 520 180GB SSD (Boot) Intel X25 80GB SSD (For ArmA) Velociraptor 300GB 10k RPM HDD (Steam Apps) Tri-Fire Asus HD5870 1GB (wish I'd bought the 2GB's ) Corsair 1000W PSU 132.56 Litres of water (jk) MrSixFour and iLLGT3
Danny_S
Nice setup Bruce! Think you're the first person I've seen in this thread running a 3-GPU rig. Only think that would make it better is if it was Nvidia and Intel aha
Bruce
Nice setup Bruce! Think you're the first person I've seen in this thread running a 3-GPU rig. Only think that would make it better is if it was Nvidia and Intel aha Thanks, I went for it as the 5870's scale REALLY well.. I get about 180% improvement with the xtra cards... like I say the shame is that they are only 1GB .. 2GB would be awesome for high texture games.. but the amount spent on the heatsinks alone makes replacing them prohibitive for me right now ... maybe next year maybe trifire R290X
Danny_S
Trifire R290x would be crazy! Super pricey though! Surely you'd need a bigger case and motherboard as well to support that though? Thought the R290X was a massive card? Although I guess if you're running water cooling the size of the card's cases doesn't really matter much. Bruce
Thanks man, it's a few years old now, Damn Technology keeps moving on.. but it's mine .. I made it .. and I'm all the happier for having done watercooling apart from one little leak onto the top GPU, which dripped down onto the other two as well ... quickly got it fixed though: http://a.imageshack.us/img839/4850/img0277l.jpg MrSixFour

George
Very clean setup George! Love it! Needs another monitor though Cheers Danny. Yeah I could do with another monitor, I'd like to have a little touch screen to the right for my music, Teamspeak, etc. I just haven't found one that meets all my requirements yet. I got the monitor 25% off so went for it. I expect to be able to tune atleast 500mhz more out of the i7 once I put in some different rams. Might do it to extend period before new mobo. Loving my gtx 770. Not sure how much more fps or detail I would get in a3 with two of them though. Some experienced input on that would be nice. Some experienced input on that would be nice. never more than 20 frames... but you'll go from STD/HIGH to ULTRA as long as the CPU can handle it. and until BIS fix the MP Framecapping thing in multi-play
