  1. Rest in peace. My heart goes out to family and the community. <3
  2. Heya folks! Had a nice chat with Kamaradski a few days back and thought I'd check in to see how everything's going! I'm still bumbling along with work keeping myself busy, but it's really good to see that you've all kept I&A and Ahoy World alive. What have I missed?
  3. Thanks for the research, Shorts! This is built into I&A 3 in a more substantial manner (see AW_fnc_addDead (a function that is run on every AI unit upon death) and AW_fnc_collectGarbage) but is also already in I&A 2 in the form of a loop that, every 5-10 minutes, clears up any dead bodies and groups. While that side of "garbage collection" is taken care of, it is admittedly done in a heavy-handed fashion in I&A 2!
  4. Welcome, my lad. Glad to have you with us.
  5. Woohoo! I was right! *dances on the tables*
  6. Haven't read the code properly as I'm at work (and I'm insanely jealous you're getting to do programming at school), but generally the problem that's present when sorting behaves like that is that it's sorting strings rather than integers. Looks like you've set the variable value to be a string and that might be where the problem is. Imagine if you were using letters instead of numbers; if we had three sets of letters like so: "afg, ac, aaa", it would be logical to order them like this: "aaa, ac, afg". So the same applies to numbers if they're formatted as a string. If the above string was numbers instead of letters, it'd order it "incorrectly" for our purposes ("111, 13, 167") if comparing strings. So aye, check that everything going/coming in/out is an integer. That might be it.
  7. For when I'm level 100 and have tonnes of cash to spare, here's my silenced shotgun build, too. http://www.pd2skills.info/profile/silenced-shotgun-6/ Heh, you could sprint in any direction whilst hip-firing with the silenced shotgun with +70% accuracy, +40% dodge chance and a potential +230% damage boost. That muted thud would be so damned deadly.
  8. I've made a special request and so will be home this evening if anyone's going to be around! Aye I've read about Rats Overkill Pro as well; blow up lab, get documents or don't, kill everyone on bus and escape, instant XP. Repeat. xD
  9. Figured out what I'll be doing for my current level (50) as well. http://goo.gl/v6wAOf
  10. Hello there. After fiddling around for a while, I've come to a conclusion as to what my skill tree will look like when I'm the ripe old level of 100. http://goo.gl/D7Nzal The main good bits are as follows... Stealthy build that can also pack a punch when things don't go too well Has doctor bag / ammo bag / C4 / ECM jammer that can open doors Can throw bags nice and far Can bag-up enemies Noise reduction when killing enemies 2 ECM jammers that can open doors Can silently crack safes 60% armour bonus Increased zoom and accuracy with rifles 6 trip mines / C4 charges A silent drill Has 6 cable ties Can answer 4 pagers Asset cost reduced by 50% Crew stamina increased by 65% Crew armour recovery time decreased by 10% 10% more health 10% more threat Doctor bag interaction speed increased by 20% Shout distance increased by 25% Weapon crafting cost decreased by 19% Headshot damage increased by 25% 40% increased chance to dodge Weapons have 15% chance to pierce armour So there's my do-it-sneaky / blow-shit-up approach. Wondering what everyone else is going for?
  11. The feature is still in the game, so long as you disable Perpetual Mission Mode in the parameters upon mission start.
  12. Wok is bang on. I can't remember if I left in the ability to have the mission end once all targets were done in parameters though...
  13. Josh contacted me about this, so will add relevant people to the conversation. Connection details for the database are still pending me being at home (should get there about 8 or 9 tonight).
  14. Similar to what David says above, there are a few main reasons we haven't yet gone down this route. Firstly, there are two ways we could go about reserving slots for Ahoy+ members: one is having slots permanently available for Ahoy+ members only (therefore having servers with a lower-than-max player count) and the other is having regular players kicked when an Ahoy+ member joins. Both result in public players being kicked from games for a reason they probably won't understand and that is the clincher. Though we of course value those who maintain Ahoy+ subscriptions very highly, the community you know and love is built on the foundation of equality and anti-elitism. The best course of action I've found that abides by those laws is just making sure that Ahoy+ members stand out as the pillars of the community they are. On the forums you're obviously recognised, but in-game... maybe hats?
  15. if (_pos == "driver" || _pos == "gunner") then { /* awesomeness here */ };
  16. The fellas at BI really have done a good job making this so easily expandable. By default, even the civilian cars are hugely customisable and they promise much more like it. See video below for some of the stuff already built in for the aforementioned civvie cars.
  17. But for all that his screens are all small and shit.
  18. I haven't posted a picture here yet. Bugger.
  19. Very quick reply as I'm currently eating, but all of this is coming and so much more in I&A 3. It is coming.
  20. Such fantastic images in my mind of you gloriously firing imaginary weaponry, saving lives, bailing out of choppers and running from gunfire, while everything in real life around you is smashed, broken and, oddly, on fire. Also, this shit just gets better. Head to 1:43 for an example of how scary this shit is with the Rift.
  21. You kidding me? This shit doesn't look fun to you?
