  1. Well,kudos for the dev team trying to make I+A a better world ... /partly sarcasm

    For a start i´d like to mention that restricting the LRPS to Snipers only is a unstandable offense - at least give me the option to make use of looting on enemy (snipers) to get a scope that way,i do understand where you coming from but i dont see the point in restricting any decent scope used for engagements beyond 500m.

    Then we´r at restricting the Mk18 to Marksman class,which is another unstandable offense i m not willing to take easily,i can use any gun to perform equally,but i m using the Mk18 since the past 14months and now getting it removed from all my kits does piss me partly off,untill i found the AK12 ;) - but lets not get offtopic.

    Also i find Arsenal a overall to much clicky clicky piece of sh*t - creating a decent kit without Mk18 and having mine detector,LD,FAKs and sh*t took me nearly 20min and once in battle you notice your scope is missing or you forgot Smoke nades,etc - then u realise you can run for 10m then walk 2kmh forever,which turns out great if you r in engagement with a tank and you need to "quickly" get cover ...

    Well,adapting aint that hard - but like Tedster mentioned,a little mention before hand would make things go down the throat easier ...

    Sure,VAS isnt updated/supported by its maker anymore,but its far more convinient than the Arsenal BS (cant be opend unless close to ammo box) that takes everyones more time to get their kits chosen and is more of a 3rd person dressupdoll style to me.

    Loading vehicles with Arsenal is quite hard to do,especially if you have to do it more than 1 time per hour.

     

    I can understand that having two ways of selecting Equipment in 1 mission isnt a good solution too.

    But i still digg VAS over Arsenal anyday ...

    Complaining about my POE isnt up to debate,in fact i m always willing to leave side missions to formed teams that communicate (to me) that they are working on it - but,as reality proves - lots of people goign for side return to base in a coffin (mostly a burning one) and have no plan/expection/necessary gear to lead their "team" to a success of the mission.

    You people just assume i m raiding "your" missions,where in fact you didnt bothered 5sec to figure out the conditions of approach and engagement necessary (INTEL as example) where i on the other side ... to much offtopic

    i just took more attention on playing early this morning than stretching my response with some obvious nice words ...

    Moving on ...

     

    The current setup of the EOD team is :

    - Squad Leader (obvious)

    - Engineer ( keeps mobility)

    - 2x Expl Specialist (detect and disarm mines)

     

    Everything else would make no sense at all or is outdated/corrupted scriptage (imo)

    i agree on the "Demo Spec" - to me its just a filler to have the Squads setup according to RL ops (in gamey terms)

    The EOD on the other hand is one of the best inventions to I+A i witnessed,agreed - pubs dont take the full element of this role into consideration,but its my no2 most played role besides AT and is great fun to handle.

    I dont get the EOD engineer,but lets say he´s there to keep the EOD team running transportwise.

     

    And i dont applaude a change to EOD team like J suggested - they r a seperate branch and should stick out by name imo (just like now).

    no problem (for me) with changing pilot slots to 4 instead of 5 - we´ve been there,it worked and that´s that.

    Then again,it wont change much on the gameplay/art of use/wait time on base is what im putting my money on.

     

    For the 10players/5pilots problem i´d prefer a script solution that locks pilot slots to actual players and in-/decreases slots by player count in-/decreasing - altho its a mad scriptage that needs to be done there considering a server runtime of 24h + ...

    but,im here for the looks and the joy,not the technical issues ...

    Also,such an effort does minimize soldier count on AO or side actions which equals to weaken your forces even more.

    Last year,when doing side missions with Pepper and one of us got shot and we called for MedEvacs or Medical Assistence its mostly a gamble to get some pilot/medic engaged and head over to your position in time before the Revive Script kicks in,i can recall min. 2 occasions where the Medic reached me on the last sec or mostly to late to rate this effort.

     

    Just try it yourself,then report back here and share your experience ...

    posting pictures adding/supporting/enlightning the mode is why i´m takin part in forums after all ... this isnt (even) debatable to me!

    Some forums offer the possibility to uncheck showing pictures (similar like showing signatures turn on/off),but i take it this isnt yet implented as the forums got setup new anyway and there s not really the need to have this (yet) - but if your that annoyed by people posting pictures you can either :

    - suggest this in the feedback department to get it implemented

    - use/setup your adblocker to block pictures

    - get quicker/higher bandwith to cope with the drama

Last i checked i m pretty sure APEX plays "standalone" so basically you cannot mix assets like in A2+OA before by default,at least that s how i understood it by devs a few months ago ... might be wrong,but i really cba to keep on track with BI pathetic information policy.

  11. Simple.

    Adding a 3rd GH and "reseting" the respawn timer so the birds respawn immidiatly is the poorest move for getting people to take care for their equipment.

    I know (and mentioned it) it is hard to uphold said rules 24/7 but this solution now cannot be serious,i already got tons of screenshots with idtiotic pilots and such,but today as i was trying to access (my) MH9 i noticed it isnt possible anymore,so for now if there s no pilots on you trust to get their job done,you r forced to drive because you cant pilot the only available thing we had all those time anymore.

    Reads and sounds butthurt,but yea - it really pissed me off this morning ...

     

    Possible solution :

    - cap the change (usual chopper layout/MH9 accessable as copilot)

    - (re)write a script locking pilot slots to players available (5slots = >60player,4 slots =>50 player,3 slots = >20player)

    - enforce the rules (2 warnings > kick)

    - build a wall

    And quite honestly,the first weeks of a new game isnt all that interesting untill the first COOP missions come up made be modders that needed time to adapt to the "new" game possibilities ...

    Speaking of that,its still a hoax and we all know BI took (once again) the easy way and cash the cow a 4th time while delivering a capped version of promised features and stuff they will implement "later" ... heard that one before,dont we?

     

    Buying it,but more due the fact there s nearly no similar game on the market offering me what this game does.

    Brandenburg does have a point tho,if your mission gets "to big" its propably not worth hosting it on a pub server that does cost money,therefor making it a COOP mission might be a better solution (on Luetin/EU4/self-hosted).

    Most likely,you will grow on each time you host a ZEUS event and talking to other ZEUS´s will help sure too.

     

    Interesting ZEUS missions are very rare (to me) as usually (on EU1) there will be no lead structure given out (except the usual pro TS team) and once the first shots are fired every logic has been shot too which defeats the point in enjoying taking part in most ZEUS missions ... (to me).

    Then i hate getting enemy units spawned in my sector i just passed by and having to wait for a medic thats "smart" or "illiterate" enough to pass over the usual 2k off position my dead body rotts face in the dirt!

     

    But,as you see,everyone has different take-on´s and likes and favours certain scenarios - so therefor expect not 100% likes from everyone taking part/being there - but always strive for getting closer to the 100% by knowing your playerbase ...
