  1. @Mini; you're right about not putting good and viable techniques to use. Feel free to teach them  ;)

    @Jux

You mean deployables like the Mk2 (Which would probably be distributed to a HMG squad  if we had one) or a deployable Mk19 rofl?

I don't really feel like they are a necessity when defending. Especially not on the BLUFOR side.

By the way, if you really want to put a HMG to use, hop on Al'Rayak whenever it's on - those Russians have got a HMG team.

The HMG easily kills a Humvee with a couple of shots. Guessing RHS armor values are truly broken.

  3. Hello there brothers in arms,

After having discussed this a bit; we've come up with an idea to "reinstate" the weekly TvT evenings on EU3. We could also try and get these missions on EU5 once a week, just so point 3 wouldn't matter.

This would mean one evening a week the server will be on a Team versus Team mission.

One evening a week, team versus team map on EU3 or maybe EU5.

The server will be put on a Team versus Team map such as TvT Dolina.
TvT missions could be very different from Gauntlet. For example; Dolina is a capture/defend mission.

Would basically mean some diversity once a week.

The server will be locked 5 minutes after mission's launch (which will basically be the time for planning the attack/defense). Misisons usually take from 15 to 40 minutes; which means if you are too late, you are gonna have to wait a little while.

Thus I'm proposing we get a set starting time, so everyone can participate from the start.\

Server would be locked, people would have to wait.

Ideas, problems, counter-arguments or something else on your mind? Please respond down below!

  4. Server browser :-/ looking for big servers after my friends and I played all scenarios.

Loved flying on EU1, thus I joined Ts3 frequently for better cooperation and communication.

Josh managed to convince some people (inc.) me in the EU1 channel to play EU3 and then the community became more of a drug and I stuck around.

Poor me! Where did my personal life go!

    :-)

  5. BLURFOR:

If you're talking about long wave radios - the backpack ones:

    - Make sure you take the RT-<something> ones.

    - Make sure your radio is on the correct frequency and the volume is high enough for you to hear.

    - Try radio checking.

If you're talking about short wave - the inventory radios:

    - Make sure you take the AN/PRC-<something> or the RF-7800S-TR

    -  Make sure your radio is on the correct frequency and the volume is high enough for you to hear.

    - Try radio checking.

    OPFOR:

If you're talking about long wave radios - the backpack ones:

    - Make sure you take the M300 <something> ones.

    - Make sure your radio is on the correct frequency and the volume is high enough for you to hear.

    - Try radio checking.

If you're talking about short wave - the inventory radios:

    - Make sure you take the FADAK

    -  Make sure your radio is on the correct frequency and the volume is high enough for you to hear.

    - Try radio checking.

  6. Very nice and detailed guide. I think it would be very helpful to have some more mechanised/armored support during certain missions.

I would just like to note this rule, which should be pretty self-explanatory.

    8. CAS  pilots(Helicopter/Jet) and Tank Crews should be on standby in a safe orbit over/around the AO unless instructed otherwise by command element(Not Squad Leaders). CAS standby and not fire unless told to by command. Tank crews and Air crews  are not permitted to go free for all on AOs.

As Mini has also explained in his guide quite well. Armor is mainly used as support on EU3. Everybody is free to take a Hammer/Torch slot, but bare in mind that infantry has priority.

@Mini; on that personal note, we've had incidents not too long ago with people two-manning an Abramhams and just driving up to the objective and completing it before the infantry even got into the AO. Please show EU3 that tank crews can also be nice and supportive!

Once again, thanks for making this guide.

  7. PS: I'd like to get into some more tactical missions or something else... if there is anything I have to do to get into that stuff please let me know.

As Iranzan & Louis have already said, if you're looking for more tactical gameplay EU3 is the place for you.

New question cam up seting up my profile here:

Whats meant by "Player-ID" for ArmA 3? Is this my SteamUID or do I have a special ArmA 3 ID on your server? If so how do I find out?

    Thanks for your help!

If you go into Arma 3's Main Menu, there will be a 'Settings' menu. One of the adjustable 'settings' will be your profile(s). In the profile you tend on using on AhoyWorld you should see something similar to this:        (you're looking for the 'Player ID'.)

    *SUGGESTION*

    BackpackOnChest Mod

    Description:

    - Adds the ability to put his backpack on the Chest. (This gives a huge advantage especially when parachuting)
    - Adds a backpack on Chest-Action to the ACE3 SelfInteraction-Menu
    - Forces the player to walk while having a backpack on the chest

    backpackonchest-mod-v01-1_4.jpgbackpackonchest-mod-v01-2_4.jpgbackpackonchest-mod-v01-3_4.jpg

    Positive sides:

    - Would make parachuting a lot more common, seeing the only downside is that we can't take that much gear with us right now.

    - C130 would actually have a use.

    - It's only 1MB

    - It works with ACE

    - Requirements (CBA & ACE) are already in the repo.

    Downside:

    - None I can think of.
