  1. Mate, that's a challenge, especially when trying to use armored vehicles and mechanized infantry tactics when the vast majority of the players have no clue what any of it is. I'd stick with EU1 or something.
  2. THIS ISN'T IN OUR CONTROL ANYMORE! SHUT IT DOWN! TURN THE DAMN MACHINE OF-
  3. Christ Raz do you have a thing for charts and stuff now? Is- Is it a sexual thing? Anyway, look like good banter, and banter really is valuable these days. I'll be sure to come along!
  4. You should see about joining EU3 sometime. I command armored vehicles fairly frequently there and am also happy to see others interested in vehicle warfare, particularly those that are experienced in the tactics.
  5. Yeah you basically said everything I DON'T look for in a driver. My vehicle drivers should be fast good listeners who know how to operate the vehicle greatly while maintaining first person. I get my fun from realism, serious fun.
  6. EU3's in a "questionable" state in my opinion but don't let my interests bring yours down! EU3 can offer a great and more realistic experience for Arma, if you like teamplay and strategy, its definitely for you! See you on the field!
  7. F*ckin finally The damn bandage reopen after 5 seconds was getting on my nerves. Would also be nice to see my bipod actually deploy, that was confusing me a lot yesterday, Thanks for the updates.
  8. Welcome back Dakim Would be great to see you on EU3 Oh a fireteam with me, you, Johnson, Jochem and hybrid *day dreaming*
  9. Are you gunna use third person? If so i'd personally prefer a different driver. To be brutally honest I need a driver that can drive in only first person as I trust them more as third person uses completely ruin the immersion and call out targets they shouldn't be able to see. Speaking of which, are we playing this mission on Elite?
  10. I'm happy to help out with the guides and it would be my pleasure to help make and possibly direct a vehicle guide for pilots and tankers. I'm also really experienced in Ace advanced medical if you want some in depth information about it. I'm sure Johnson would love to make one for MAT too. Give me a good ol' poke on TS or add me on Steam: "Minipily" if you wanna talk about it. I'd recommend talking to staff, it might be possible to make a playlist and add it to the Ahoy World YouTube Channel, would help it be seen.
  11. Not really, I carry what a Marine carries. 30kg is the average carry weight for a marine, possibly more dependent on their personal weight. It is definitely incorrect.
  12. Okay gunna update. Though the Fatigue system has a few flaws, it is indeed mostly accurate. The weight x fatigue is a little odd for which how long you can run with a certain amount of weights but overall it it like I said mostly accurate. Like 80% of my loadouts have okay weight but stuff like MMG / MAT / HAT are gunna be tough seeing as you will have to drop most your shit at the combat zone which will most likely get lost or despawned. Like others have said, others need to cut back, particularly new players that haven't been around very long, the patrol ops players know whats up though. A top tip from me: Carry what your vest shows and medical wise, carry 4 Basic, 2 packing, 1 morphine and 1 tourniquet, this leads to better teamplay from medics and other players having to help patch others up and for those that only have like 6+1 magazines will actually have to resort to mag sharing with others in long firefights. Although i'm getting off topic and I know for a fact people won't do this and rather be a 1 man army medic with backpacks of ammo but lel one can dream.
  13. Coolio, now the entire world will know the power! There is a slight issue though, the age rating is 18+ which uh, if we have moderators that are way under that then ya know.

BOB! My dreams have come true! MAKE THIS MAN ADMIN
  15. Give me an Abrams and a wild Jochem and we'll sort it out. Oh yeah we will also need a driver of sorts... uh... any guy will do I guess.
  16. Well I can help train if you need some trainers. I don't do it AS MUCH as I used to be ask any veteran EU3'er and they will back me up on the fact that I used to Squad Lead Alpha a crazy amount back on Patrol Ops and earlier on in Gauntlet. I'm fully capable to helping train whoever wants to be better in Squad or Team leading and it would a pleasure. If possible I can do a little class at the beginning and run people through the basics of leading with appropriate tactics, these include but no limited to: - Bounding movements - Security formations - What to do in a gunfight (I understand that you know how to fire a gun but I see countless times Alpha get slaughtered by enemy squads, I can help teach how to better the scenario in your favor, even with less men) - Phase lines - Communication work - Organizing squads and buddy teams The list could go on too if I could expand on some things, but that's more optional than necessary. Either way, sounds good and fun. P.S: If we wanna do the same for other leading roles like Platoon Command, Vehicle Command etc, I can help out on those fronts too!

  18. Not gunna lie, the amount of times i've had to grab my Beretta or P226 and execute a unconscious guy is pretty darn high.
  19. I think the main issue with commanding and leading is quiet a few people lose faith in doing it. "Can we go now!..." Why is this taking so long..." Just a couple examples of things people say at base while leaders mark out a plan, get some f*cking patience. I can do any leading role as I'm experienced in all, if it's really needed I will try and jump in teamleader and squadleader a bit more. Anyone needs any tips or anything to do with any of the commanding or leading roles then feel free to talk to me, sad thing is, I haven't been able to show like 80% of the tactics and maneuvers I know because the community never want any part in it. It usually comes down to the simple: Fly in, land, go across waypoints, finish AO after loosing like 90% of the players and having to shuttle run them, get back and evac. Sad really, would love to do more foot patrols and vehicle convoys with the usual maneuvers like: pincers, herringbone, bounding and phase lines. Those are all fun to do. In the end, Squadleaders and Teamleaders should like what they're doing and continue to do it because the squad mates get respect for them and look up to them. I feel that we don't have this though because people don't actually care if someone dies or get's MIA like a shot down pilot. If people dying and getting lost actually impacted the AO by a larger amount then we would in turn care more for each other, also getting stricter loadouts may help the gameplay so people would have to share ammo and supplies, but i'm getting off topic here. In conclusion, if we need a leader i'm happy to do it more often if people like. "Realism"
  20. Will the patrol actually involve walking 1-3km's between towns and shiz? I just get bored of constantly having vehicle convoys and want to do something realistic. Either way, sounds pretty good.
  21. Hey, just wanna see if I can clarify some things here. So, a lately, it seems that it is becoming more and more tough to drop enemies when really, it shouldn't be, and that we usually get dropped instantly from AK rounds. Yesterday, I shot a insurgent on Fallujah in the head with a M16A4, this caused him to go unconcious, fair enough, the 5.56 round was designed to wound and it may have gone through a cheek or some shiz. However, when I went to finish him off, I found that it took around 7-10 rounds of 5.56 to the torso to kill him. This is insurgents we're talking about here too, guys with little to no armor. I've found before that with my shooting, i'm capable of dropping an insurgent or Russian with 2-4 shots of 5.56 to the chest area, as that is where I aim all the time. But a lately, I don't get the results that I did. I don't know if something has been messed around with or something but to be honest, I much prefer being able to kill them easier if they at least get the realism of being able to kill us easily. I know body armor advances these days are good but for god sake they only do so much. One really does not simply walk away from a few 5.56 rounds to the chest, even if it doesn't go through the armor, it's still gunna knock em on their ass and send em to sleep. Dunno if anyone else has got any BS like this a lately but it really grinds my gears when bullets don't do their job. At this rate i'm gunna have to go SEAL Team 52 and take a goddamn 7.62 rifle with a suppressor like some of the others... Once again, if something has been tinkered with or something it would be nice to know, because I really have never had to shoot this much before.
  22. Here's a pretty darn funny video of ventriloquist Dan Horn and his old buddy Orson. Thought i'd share it because boy its pretty funny.
  23. +1 This does look pretty darn interesting! A winter map would definitely be a nice change of pace to the usual summer time kind of maps.

    Hello!

I'll probably get hate for this message from all the fan boys but seriously, Do not believe everything Luetin says and shows. Not that EU3 is super bad but he isn't exactly good.
