  1. Mapping of The Unknown

    Situation

    We find ourselves somewhere in the late 1800's as the British Empire.

    The empire stumbled across an unmapped region and thus sent a mapping party to document it, they went missing.... A rescue party was swiftly dispatched.

     

    As the rescue party made landfall they spotted a savage fishing just of one of the wrecks and promptly captured it for use as a guide of these unknown lands, it appears to also know some information about our missing people.

    Situation

    We find ourselves apart of Task Force Cyprus, a force consisting of several nations put together to counter the rising terror threat of the Mediterranean Islamic Liberation Front in the Syria region.

     

    Leadership of Task Force Cyrpus met at a hotel in Nicosia for a press conference to announce the formation of the task force to the world.

     

    Approximately 10 minutes before the conference was slated to begin a suicide bomber arrived by bus outside the hotel and detonated his vest killing a number of soldiers on the security detail. It was clear the amount of explosive used would not cause any damage to the hotel or the leadership, as such our analysts have concluded this was likely the Mediterranean Islamic Liberation Front sending a message that they can operate anywhere anytime.

     

    TF Cyprus leadership obviously wants to retaliate and have set in motion a plan to try and cut off the head of the Mediterranean Islamic Liberation Front operation Saabiq el-Farooqui. An intelligence agency of a member nation has been able place an agent in a position of an arms dealer and has drawn Saabiq el-Farooqui's top general Tareef al-Jafari out of hiding for an offer he could not resist in Lebanon.

     

    However Lebanon has not agreed to allow TF Cyprus into their airspace for the operation and may try to intercept our flights once they enter their airspace, it is unknown if they are supportive of the terrorists or not.

     

    Mission

    We have been tasked with getting eyes on the meeting and observing the general without alerting him of our presence. Once the exchange has taken place we are to follow him back to his hideout and bomb it. Once his hideout has been destroyed helicopters are to land and inspect the remains on site in hopes of finding Saabiq el-Farooqui or any intel suggesting where he is.

    Situation

    On the first Saturday of each month (had to skip a few) we will fight for the title of AW TopGun in a BFM tournament.

     

    The fights will be guns only 1v1 in a single elimination tournament format, best of 3 per round.

    Random names will be drawn on the day of the event to decide starting opponents.

     

    Any module in DCS can be used as long as it has guns, it can be a helicopter vs jet or a ww2 prop plane vs modern jet.

     

    All Aircraft will start with 50% fuel, guns only at 15000F with a 10nm separation.

    Situation

    Its been almost a year since the first nukes were dropped, calmer heads prevailed. 

    Until now! US early warning satellites have detected ICBM launches from the USSR, this is it.

     

    We are now but a small cog in the next few hours of annihilation.

    B-52's are flying from Turkey to strike Nalchik, Beslan & Mozdok with nuclear armed cruise missiles, USSR Blackjacks are flying from Maykop-Khanskaya to strike our bases.

     

    Recourses are tight as every asset is being scrambled, because of this we are responsible for escorting the B-52's, intercepting the incoming Blackjacks & Nuking the coast line airbases.

    We find ourselves somewhere in Libya as WW2 rages on. A reconnaissance plane being flown by a polish pilot has been shot down.

     

    As we are the closest unit command has assigned us the task of recovering the pilot or rescuing him if the Germans have already got to him. We have been sent the approximate crash site location and are to set out after our afternoon tea.

    Execution

    At CMD’s discretion.

     

    Section cohesion is of utmost importance. The enemy outnumbers us greatly and will not hesitate to exploit gaps in our situational awareness.

    Counter-attacks and a general resistance to our efforts will ask for quick shifts in our tactics.

     

    Admin / Logistics

    Reinforcements are unlimited and directed by CMD. Resupply is CMD’s prerogative.

    Enemy prisoners of war (POW) are to be treated well and brought to base for questioning.

     

    The Logistics team has full discretion as to the fortification of our FOB under CMD's guidance. If no other tasking, default to supply and POW escort.

     

    Command / Signal

    The options have been laid out, together on the day decide which plans to follow and weather to split up or stick together. i.e. follow only plans white and pink, follow white and pink but send 1 jet on plan green, etc.

     

    Depending on what you choose the mission will be easier or harder in the long run.

    Plan White:

    - Flights will re join over waypoint 1 and form up into a strike formation.

    - The formation will travel to waypoint 2 and bomb the factory.

    - 2 Su-33 QRA will take off from Sukhumi and intercept you as you pass over the border, shoot them down.

    - SEAD flights will engage the SA-2 to clear a path for Strike to drop their bombs on targets.

    - The formation will turn around and RTB to WP1

     

    Plan Green:

    - Flight will engage and destroy the remaining jets on the ground.

     

    Plan Black:

    - Flight will head for Nalchik and destroy the jets on the ground.

     

    Helicopters

    Plan Cyan: 

    - Flight will travel in formation to the Factory and support the jet flight by destroying any targets they can.

    - Flight will then RTB

     

    Plan Pink:

    - Flight will travel to Nalchik and destroy the jets on the ground before they can take off and intercept the jet formation.

    - Flight will then RTB

    Execution

    At CMD’s discretion.

     

    Section cohesion is of utmost importance. The enemy outnumbers us greatly and will not hesitate to exploit gaps in our situational awareness.

    Counter-attacks and a general resistance to our efforts will ask for quick shifts in our tactics.

     

    Admin / Logistics

    Reinforcements are unlimited and directed by CMD. Resupply is CMD’s prerogative.

    Enemy prisoners of war (POW) are to be treated well and brought to base for questioning.

     

    The Logistics team has full discretion as to the fortification of our FOB under CMD's guidance. If no other tasking, default to supply and POW escort.

     

    Command / Signal

    Operations and ground control lie solely with the Platoon Commander. The RTO handles air traffic and can supplement communications.

     

    Support unit slots are under Platoon Command's prerogative and can be asked to reconsider their slot, but never forced to give them up in favour of another player. All units must be tasked fairly.

     

    Squad leaders are responsible for the operational effectiveness of their teams.

    Intelligence has located the general behind the plan to invade Georgia. He is currently overseeing final repairs at Sochi-Adler, during his time there he has bolstered the airbases air defence with an old SA-5 system.

     

    We know he will be on the first flight out within the hour. While on the ground he will be located next to his personal Yak-40 and escort, a photo of him has been provided above.

    Situation

    On the first Saturday of each month we will fight for the title of AW TopGun in a BFM tournament.

     

    The fights will be guns only 1v1 in a single elimination tournament format, best of 3 per round.

    Random names will be drawn on the day of the event to decide starting opponents.

     

    Any module in DCS can be used as long as it has guns, it can be a helicopter vs jet or a ww2 prop plane vs modern jet.

     

    All Aircraft will start with 50% fuel, guns only at 15000F with a 10nm separation.

     

    Tournament Rules

    - If its not your turn to fight stay out of module slots, only spectate.

    - Guns only, no ramming your opponent on purpose.

    - Honour the dogfight, no running away.

    - The fight is over when the opponent is killed or ejects.

    - A manoeuvre kill is a kill.

    - No switching slots per round or phase.

    - Do NOT fire before the merge.
