Did you see any FOBs while you was on? I believe we have more variety now than we ever did in I+A2. You just need to complete certain amount of AOs to unlock certain FOBs, I think there are 5 of them in total and if you unlock FOB Guardian(terminal) alone, it will spawn MH-9 Blackfoot Orca and Taru. But bear in mind the more powerful the beast the longer the re-spawn timer.
