  2. 19/12/15 Live Zeus Gamenight Time: 19;00 UTC/20:00 CET. Hody folks, As you may have seen there is no "official" Gamenight post up for this weekend. With the holidays coming up I also don't expect nor plan on a game night until probably early January. So I decided to take it on myself to throw together a simple (but always classy) Live Zeus Created Gamenight so that we can all have some fun times with some unique content before we all stuff ourselves with the Christmas stuffings! As you might already have seen I have created a couple of polls to obtain your opinion on which map, Loadouts and assets I shall put in the Gamenight. Please do vote! Keep in mind that with such a short time until the Gamenight I might not obtain all of your votes in time so please share the thread and I will monitor the results until Saturday afternoon when I add or remove parts of the mission basics! SIGN-UPS? There will be no sign up sheet, just show up with good attitude, game night rules do apply as usual and lets make it a pleasant Tactical focused night. INTERESTED IN A ROLE? I will most likely ask people who are interested in a leading role, have a team together for a armored unit or would like to be a pilot to sent me a ts message Saturday when we are in the lobby.   7. Above some quotes which I completely support. Could you describe to me how it is complicated? What you are describing is actually great. Or do you mean, its complicate for someone who joins the first time? Perhaps if those lessons that are being made at the moment get pushed through ( I believe they are being worked on by some fine gentlemen) we can show everyone that it`s ( in my opinion, ofcourse) a GREAT addition as it promotes specific squad and team roles, and makes team leads essential, as well as squad leads!
  8. 400 to 600 meters or milimeters . I know your a good enough of a player to know your pretty much ineffective at that range, and that we usually do about 300 meters silly . I think we should indeed try before we kill the idea!

  11. The Community Upgrade Project is just a name to combine content ported from A2 to A3 ( I believe, correct me if im wrong). right? So your referring to the old maps from A2 such as Zargabad, cherno etc and you want to quickly start a zeus mission there without any Gauntlet like missons and Ambient AI in there from the start? In regards to any maps outside of the map pack we use on #eu3, I am not familiar how they are handled by arma 3, however regarding your questions about a ''Standard Template'' for the #EU3 maps what I do if I make a Gamenight mission, and I am sure the other game night/mission creators do the same is either: 1. Make a mission from scratch ( you were having trouble as you said) 2. Carefully di-sect Gauntlet or any other mission you have played who has the features you like until the core is still there, and copy paste over re spawn points and arsenal boxes etc. ( tip:You can actually CTRL+C/CTRL+V items/objects/markers in the 2d editor over from one project to another!). Cant find the missions ? Go to the MPMissions folder in your A3 Root folder, there are the .pbo files you download when you join a server which you can open yourself! Now the 2. might be hard for you too if you dont have any prior experience but its definitely easier then creating from scratch. Now that I think of it I might create a group of templates this weekend and ask if they are uploaded as clean ''Zeus Missions'' with all the perks such as game night modes, arsenal boxes, a FOB/Base to start from and re-spawning vehicles @ base. The Only issue is the assignment of Zeus to a certain player who is not a mod/admin on #EU3. I have had alot of fun creating the most basic of missions using Zeus, and adding your own temporary story to it in matter of minutes which gives the players a whole new experience and a way to get some diversity from the pretty great Gauntlet( not kidding, its good!)

  16. You`ll be fine, think of a normal EU3 night, but without the goofing around, and a focus on a mision with probably multiple objectives, and alot more cohension between all forces)! Also, respect dat_CoC, but you probably have more exp with that then all us posers.

  20. @TheToxicPixels Just wrote a 2 sided reply but since using mobile it decided to all just vanish so im keeping it short and powerful: Arsenal: Alright, I get it, I'm that guy who always wants to have it "serious", especially in game nights. But comon folks, its game night! You don't want 30 minutes of ;"ooh, that looks fa.. Ooh but that's nice too!" standard Loadouts or heavily filtered arsenals that are made to support the kind of mission you are hosting are the sh*t since people who respawn can immediately rejoin witj the new wave, and people who jip will play their selected role. First/third? When I hosted my gamenight couple weeks ago I fell under peer pressure because of folks saying "I'm quiting if theres no 3rd". What I should have done is make sure that was set in stone in the forum post, therefore giving people the chance to either sign up and attend or simply don't attend. Lock the server? Yes, first hour at least. Give the briefing and first insertion some time, and met individual teams build... Something of a strategy. Last, but not least I recommend you to learn Zeus. Apart from your full focus and not being able to play yourself on the ground, it will greatly improve all game nights with a big a*s flavor of random. You need so little apart from a standard stripped "gauntlett-like" mission to make it zeus ready. It takes so less time to create that you could even take suggestions at the start of the op. If you like, i can send you some of my Zeus perspective videos on yt via a pm. Oh and if you want help just hit me up brah i might be the guy to help you out. (that wasn't very short, no potato either sorry!)

  22. Thanks for the feedback and taking the time to create this post, and sorry for my late response. Been very busy past few days! I'll go over your feedback with some answers from my perspective: Tfar: I wad using no altered settings in comparison to Gauntlet. I officially have no utter idea what went wrong, perhaps types of radio selected from my end? Loadouts: Made by Glitch(thank you) and imported and set up by myself using the gauntlet Loadouts sqf. I did test these and they included all medicals and 5/7 mags. So very strange that they were removed at entry. I did hoewever screw up with Raz and the pilot their Loadouts script wise but that was fixed quickly by myself. Briefing: you are completely right. We had planned a good ol sl briefing, all together, hot cocoa and everything but then raz got his first steam ticket error ever(direct quote from the man himself). So that idea was crushed. Oh and let's not forget the restarts... Me and Raz had figured out a "fun and challenging" mission, mixed with our mutual thoughts however more focused on what I had in mind. I recall two teams waiting to insert, this whas a mis communication which I blame myself for. As I said the initial plan was set up by me mostly, but apart from some small influences by mission design the rest was all c.o controlled such as the phase Lane I hope you still enjoyed it, took a lot of time to make for a starting mission maker! Oh and.. Goid enough for a slightly simpler part 2?
  23. So this is kind of like a " what do you mean mutual destruction pact? " kind of scenario/timeline. Possibilities are indeed endless! Alot of stuff to keep in mind, as you mentioned. Such a broad scale map needs a broad scale of players. Would be really nice to see the effects of a specific sides victory (ru/us) on the campaign map, such as the strategic importance of a city/town or base. How will you handle respawning?
