I was on as Vortex and despite valiant efforts to evade enemy jets, got shot down twice. Once with passengers and once as I returned to base. As a result I got kicked from the slot. Seemed a bit unfair at the time as I did avoid several missiles. Apart from that thoroughly enjoyable.

First time back in AW for a while yesterday, spent 4 hours as Vortex and thoroughly enjoyed it especially when Gas Mark came on as Crossroads. I would like to swap out an armed MH-9 for a UH -80 to balance the options for stealth insertions and evac but that’s being picky. Or even go retro and put in an HH-6? I thought it worked well, good work.

Question regarding in game channels: when in a vortex transport role, what channel should the pilot use to communicate with other vortex, wi5h ground forces and visa versa?

Having been starved of AWE since the update I have been searching around the game options on the official servers and got involved with the Combat Patrol servers some of which alternate with Escape. Would it be possible to put this type of game onto one of the servers? I have no idea if that is possible but I have seen that Bohemia have various options for game play etc and it would be a diversion from the usual none co operative activity or a naked un populated EU2 and the format sort of forces a team play format. It’s not been as good as it was earlier in the year and the update means we can’t log in yet. Nearest I have found to play is the official patrol servers but no where near as good as AWE Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Logged on OK last night. Today cannot get logged onto any of the servers. AWE comes up as either connection failed or session lost and a red flag that says "different version of Arma3 installed". I have made no changes to the PC overnight so what do I need to do please?

So update. Reloaded the depo and got it working, sort of, probably need to watch the video again So I can get control of the weapon, but only as a UAV operator.

Tried both Strange because I can now get it to work in base but not in AO

Must be a bug. Maybe I am doing something wrong: Tried 3 slots. FSG Lader, FSG Gunner UAV Op, loaded Autonomous GMG, HMG, and folded nato tripod onto Prowler, took laser ranging goggles and UAV backpack. Drove 1 k away from base, put GMG on ground and took tripod, looked at GMG and all i get is the hand symbol, Tried reversing tripod and GMG, tried HMG, tried further away from prowler, tried changing role to AT and taking static Titan and that wont assemble either.???
