  1. I have now been able to launch the game, with no lost sessions and visible enemy infantry. I do this by launching arma with all the AWE mods selected. I hit PLAY and join the server via the ingame server browser. If I use Arma3Sync or try to join the server via the Arma3 server browser in the launcher I start getting all the mysterious issues.
  2. One by one? I've reinstalled the mods multiple times, but always just installed the entire repository at once. Funny thing is I don't seem to be getting disconnects when launching arma3 and then using the in-game server finder to connect. Now I would just need to test if I can actually see the Chinese PLA.
  3. I was able to play with out a problem for four hours straight during Benjamin Levines game night. This morning back to altis and PLA I'm back to "session lost". I have not been able to trouble shoot the invisible more than I can see China PLA troops in the editor running the AWE modset. I have also noticed that I get the random "Session lost" disconnects when I join the server using Arma3Sync. Not so much when I use the Arma 3 default launcher.
  4. The weapons I saw on the ground looked like AKs.
  5. Oh damnit, now that I reinstalled the mods again the disconnects seem to be back. This is starting to drive me crazy now. I hope this is not a show stopper: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1095188118
  6. A few days ago I had problems with random disconnects from the server. I reinstalled mods and battle-eye. I'n not quite sure which of these actions cured it but now I can stay connected as normal. However playing is very hard because I cannot see enemy infantry at all. I tested this with @JaSmAn and @LEO. Most recently today where LEO even drove over an enemy infantryman with a HMMV and we engaged enemies at about 300m range. Once the enemies die not even their bodies are shown, I can only see the weapon they drop on the ground. I can see enemy vehicles as normal only the infantry has turned invisible. I also do not hear enemy gunfire, only see the puffs and sound effects of bullets hitting the ground near me. I have since reinstalled Arma 3 completely as well as all the mods. I've double checked my video settings but I am unable to find a solution! I see enemy troops normally on EU1.
  7. Quite true, the mod spawns a lot of AI both friendly and enemy. It all gets quite taxing on performance. I'm not going to say it is the best mod by far, but it was quite amusing and had a few ideas that could work else where also.
  8. I was trying to think of a way to limit the RTB fully restocking and returning to mission thing. You sort of have to work for the stuff you have. I do realize that it's not perfect since once you open an item you always have access to it. Maybe something along the lines of earning points/money/interstellar megabux to buy equipment?
  9. Antistasi had a system where you had an arsenal, but basicaly you start with AK74-Sus. Once you kill enemies you pick up their gear and return to arsenal with them, once you've collected a preset amount of a specific article it is white listed. Goes for all types of items.
  10. ...you gotta keep those snappers clean, eh?
  11. Version: COx_Gauntlet_53_113_Malden Mission: Operation Prism Bug: No hostages found in AO Description: AO cleared of all enemies. Some dead civilians also close to dead BMP, apparently not hostages though since the mission did not fail. A couple of instances of AI trying to shoot through walls in the AO.
  12. Switched over to advanced as soon as I started flying.... still not very good at it, but I can get from point A to B most of the time. Just got my T16000m fcs hotas and it's quite a handfull as I am not at all used to a hotas setup.
  13. Personaly went for TrackIR. About being a restless and moving around a lot I just bound a key to center view and fidgeted around with the sensitivity curves in the software to find a setting that suits me. Basicaly set mine up so that there is a slight dead zone before the tracker applies movement to the screen.
  14. I found this on the internet. No guarantees it will work: KAPA6UH posted this on the free-track forums.
  15. @GandalfTheCray This mission file has been of great help to me, these days I manage to not miss all the M72/AT4s I fire! Thank you Sir!
  16. As to programming and mechanics I have no idea how stuff works. I've played through Antistasi once and it seemed quite dynamic at least in the beginning where every kill basically is a chance to loot. Later on in the campaign it all becomes pretty taxing on the server, the one we rented was under quite some strain and enemy corpses and assets kept despawning quicker than we could reach them to loot them. The server kept running with or with out people on it, territories taken and lost, but you could make and load persistent saves so as to keep going from where you left of.
  17. Have you guys tried the Antistasi mod? I think it is a little like the scenario described here?
  18. Great guide, I will probably have to read through it a couple of times! ...and will probably still much it up once under pressure.
  19. Sounds good or two different areas, one QCB one more open perhaps?
  20. You are now officially my hero, I will install this as soon as I get home! I cannot count the times when I've missed with various types of launchers and you have been there to save my bacon! EDIT: Is there any way to maybe spawn a live enemy vehicle via the crate? Static targets and ranging is all good and quite helpfull. But it does not simulate the stress of ranging and firing when in live contact.
  21. Was a very informative evening, shame I had to leave early. Hope I didn't miss out on much.
  22. @Jasman Yes indeed, after 2 or so reinserts we had enough of a break in the BMP spawns that we managed to charge into town with the trucks! It was a tough one, but also quite rewarding to finally complete the mission. High ground and better cover would have made a world of difference, this time we were advancing on fairly open terrain so that clearly was not to our advantage.
  23. I think I was on the server for this one. We were transporting two trucks of civilians(?) to the mission area, yes? If I'm not mistaken the mission spawned with a partial Alpha 1 and Alpha 2 squads. Maybe 8 players total and we used the HEMMTS and a couple of HMMWs. I am also under the impression that the spawns were quite aggressive for this one. The opposition was very tough, but I don't think charging through would have been an option either.

Ah the kidd, Our son was born two and a half years ago. I was sort of surprised that after some getting used to having a new family memeber... and all the diapers, everything was surprisingly calm, I even found time for my games... but now that he has been on hes feet for awhile and is starting to explore the world for real... well let's just say I'm happy if I can play late in the evening and more often than not pay the price for staying up late the following morning! I'm sure he'll be owning me in all the computer games in the not so distant future!
