  2. I love making missions for us to play on gamenights and I want to keep making more. They often offer a different view or type of fun game play for the community; however the thing that is the most limited is the player counts that turn out for them. Arma in my opinion is at its best as a combined arms setting, but to do this you need a many people as possible. To this end I want to know and I feel other mission makers would too, what is the best time for gamenights #EU3. Just fill out the form below.   3. I am mostly talking about gameplay and mission making tweaks they are wanting/ will make. The DLCS are very good to have and nothing (in my opinion) is a good as Tanoa at the whole jungle thing.
  4. Have to agree here. AW gets donations but not enough to buy a teraflop level super computer constantly generate all of Afghanistan. The Arma 2017 road map looks good though and might bring some more good variety and realism options. -Ben
  5. I do think that the Brits do have their own style of game play and it is important to keep it that way. They shouldn't be the same as the US at all and I think this is one of the reasons we add them, so that we could have that difference. However on large maps like Altis or maps where a lot of water is present their just isn't the option for light ground vehicles. Thus the British become more suited to maps like Fallujah where driving is usually the best option, and to this point it might make sense to balance the default factions this way. On the CAS thing I didn't really consider the fact that we have to save you guys with our planes most of the time anyways (Bias... Duh). So it would make sense that this could easily be part of the gauntlet mission. -Ben
  6. Sometimes windows freaks out when the mission loads and thinks that arma is not responding and goes black for a second. This happens to me pretty regularly on a new mission load but goes away if I just wait for it to right itself. Hope this helps @NOR PK. -Ben
  7. But don't you think with a higher level of enemy air would balance that out and also provide combined arms gameplay, which is what Arms is arrigably all about, but the type of gameplay we want is definitely up to the players.
  8. To put it simply the air space in Gauntlet is open. There is no contention or fight over it and the player faction is given automatic control, and what spawns in certain missions is not enough to provide a proper fight. This isn't a bad thing as a four man team who get on during the week days on off hours don't want to fight SU-25's and PAK 50's, but when the player number rises and more vortexes are online the airspace should not be a gift. I think it should be fought over. Not only would this create more team work with vortex team members as it would encourage co-pilots to get online to bring in heaver strike packages but the coordination between vortexes would increase as a helicopter inserts would be more difficult without armed escort. It would also help transition vortex players from a CAS and transport role over to a CAP role which to many may be much more fun. I think the best way to do this is to make a 'Contested Air Space' option in the CMD HQ on the white board that can be activated by the SL or CMD, or have an enemy airfield but this is only avaloble on some maps and didn't work well in the past. Now for the British, and please don't think this is my American bias. The British's only advantage is their superior light CAS bird with its 20mm and room for passengers, but that is where it ends. They don't have a single heavy lift bird in gauntlet even though they operate the Chinook in real life and their fixed wing support is not very good either. In my opinion the Wildcat fits the more little bird type role, the Merlin takes the spot of the Blackhawk as it has limited capacity for its size and is equally maneuverable, and that leaves the heavy role open. The Harrier is outdated and is not as good at CAS as the A10 as it lacks payload, gun, and strength that the A10 can provide. It also is not good at CAP as its design around VTOL leaves it fat and at low speeds unable to combat better equipped threats. In real life the British operate much more capable Eurofighter fourth gen fighter, and soon the fifth gen F35, and the Tornado interceptor/ CAS jet. We do not have these in our mod pack so they are unavailable, but could be added if the community wants them and understands this argument. The links to the mods are below.   12. Also we have some more winter things like, vests and head gear, added with BAF so it becomes even more fitting.

  14. I know this might be a bit of a long shot, but could Sheila have a pvp variant or would it simply not work well without a lot of players or is it too much work? Just a though, Ben
  15. Also no mtp in the arsenal either. Not sure if we are supposed to use the US mtp or it is on purpose, either way just wanted to tell you.
  16. I like this mission a lot like the others seem too. I would also like to see the loadouts fixed. It would allow better and easier balancing of the players vs the ai and would also allow the the mission to start as fast as possible. I also believe that it is important to keep playing and supporting both as they offer different styles of play and both have there own merits. Keep up the good work @Ryko. Ben
