  1. Hello, this topic is aimed primarily at developers. However, anyone is welcome to share their opinion. I am aware of possibility to join other fireteams during the game session, using the ace menu. However I was told that doing so might cause issues (noone told me what kind of issues). I am not even aware of any issues, as in my very first days of EU#3 modded, I remember using this feature a few of times, without any issues visible. May I get confirmation/denial on this rumor? If it is true, is there anything you can do with fixing possible issues it may cause? Why bother? Because EU#3 is supposed to be played tactically. Things is, when casualties happen, various elements might need to be merged. In that case, this option would allow to fill up the KIA slots in elements with members of other almost combat ineffective elements. Possible issues might come when backup with original element members arrive to the AO. In that case, people should actually remember their original element and rejoin it as soon as the situation makes it possible. Upon further review of this topic, I have come to a conclusion that this issue is actually not important enough to act as a suggestion. I would call it as an idea instead, open for discussion. -Cell
  2. Yes, they were probably updated. If you get exclamation warnings, just mark those mods and you should be able to download updates.
  3. Nah, this is actually really low FPS issue. You get so low FPS, that it actually DCs you, because you cannot keep up with the server. My guess.
  4. Remember, as EU#1-2 are public servers, everyone can be anything unless they really mess/ignore their role (up). That's (one of) the reason(s) why pilots are not forced to be on TeamSpeak. If you read it on the map, it says "should be" not "must be".
  5. This is weird, I've experienced the same issue today, but only once. Everything was alright again after restarting ArmA.
  6. My latest experience on EU#3 with ACRE was forced evac to base from AO, because command and logistics (CMD, A SL, Vortex, etc) lost contact on 152 and 117 radios. They checked them in base, they worked, but through the mission, they just suddenly stopped working. Notable thing is, 343 never has any issues, nor does local chat of course. Kind of gamebreaking experience.

  9. Frankly, I find Mora good enough to stay. Panther should be indeed replaced. It is really inferior to any vehicle available and a lot of people confuse it for Bobcat, thinking they can repair vehicles with it. Adding more vehicles wouldn't work either, that would be just too OP.

  12. You're mistaken friend. The more bugs you find, the more successful testing it is. On the other hand, rally points and intel reviewing are kind of important functions, which should be working to successfully progress the game even with bugs. Anyway, I was absolutely delighted by the mod and its alterations you made. Keep it up, hope I see it on EU#3 soon.

  15. Another thread to revive.... The only (maybe) issue here is the amount of ammo enemy AI has. Infinite (?). From my experience as a helicopter and Buzzard AA pilot, enemy AA/CAS has just too much rockets on disposal, compared to friendly AA. As an AA pilot, I have 4 long range and 2 short range rockets. That means a few missed missiles because of enemy flares (that is a question of skill, I know, I am really lame with jets), taking down 2 jets, doing some cannon CAS and RTB for +-10 minutes. As a helicopter pilot, I have a few bursts of flares. That means 2-4 evaded enemy missiles in a row and 5th shooting me down instantly after. After that, the enemy AA just happily flies around shooting more missile salvoes at other pilots. BUT(T) I might be completely wrong. Sometimes, jets won't fire a missile at all, they just fly around you, or try to shoot you with their cannon. The other pilots receiving missiles might be actually being engaged by the second jet. Still... There's something that needs to be done about the enemy CAS/AA. They are just tearing our base down most of the time. We can't actually destroy the RT before more jets spawn, because of the time it takes to evac from the old AO, RTB (optional) and get to the new AO without being shot down.

  17. I'd say ordinary "Tank Crew" slots, similar to "Pilot Slots" would be nice. We don't have co-pilot and helicopter crew slots either. This, or we could introduce a rule for MBTs/APCs/IFVs or any other armored vehicle with turret to require at least 2 people as a crew.
  18. I'll be a little necroing on purpose now, but this thing definitely needs more attention. We need a repair offroad with same stats (undrivable, undestructible) as the helipad fuel truck. Second thing, definitely remove the lamp on the side of the helipad, it is absolutely unrealistic to have lamp that close to a heli pad. It is a common cause of crash-landings on the helipad.
  19. This idea would be awesome for more mature and tactical server (something like EU#3 is), but not for kid-filled EU#1. P.S.: By saying kid-filled, I do not mean to criticize EU#1, I love it, but... Let's just be honest. Edit: Oh well, looks like I'm actually necroing! Sorry about that.
  20. Hello there random people, people I don't know and friends, the more I play ArmA III with you guys here, the more I tend to pay attention to custom faces some people seem to have. I'd like to actually be one of them. First, I'd like to ask if there's any good website you would recommend for such custom faces. I sadly didn't find any out there. All of them were for ArmA II and DayZ (from what I've seen, ArmA II and DayZ probably use the same template, just ArmA III is different) Second, I'd like to ask if there's anyone skilled enough in Photoshop, or came across a particular ArmA III custom face of MGSV's Big Boss/Venom Snake or any other bearded Snake guy from other MGS games. If someone's willing to hop on it in the Photoshop and not sure what to alter, I have some guidelines: Big Boss's black shrapnel horn is a no-go, headband is optional (there more pictures without it - might be easier, BUT, hiding the border between end of hair area and start of bare forehead skin might (actually might as well not) be easier). I'd be definitely very thankful for that. Third, there's also another alternative, which is Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder (my profile pic). This alternative would be the most hilarious one but might be the most difficult one as well Thank you! Cell
  21. I dare to say we are a kind of testers. Going live with ACRE2 ensured a lot of feedback essential for further bugfixes. I believe it wouldn't be so easy and fast if just a few people tested it. I might be wrong though.
