It's great that we got a mention, but Ahoy World is aspiring to be so much more than the origin of a single mission in ArmA III!

Hi all you Fellow Fighters of Stratis !!
 
As the situation of Stratis got out of controll and NATO forces had to come in and kick some serious butt out of them OPFOR in a 40 player COOP effort, operation Invade & Annex was born.
 
Now after operation I&A is only a few months underway, daily several hundred of soldiers are being deployed to this popular destination. So much even I&A just got mentioned alongside a few other popular deployments in the recent offical ARMA Community Guide video series !!
 
Around 4m40 zulu there is some intel mentioning the most popular deployments that have been around for many years now. And we from Ahoyworld.co.uk are very proud to be part of this list in such a short time of operations !!
 
Therefore we thank everyone that contributed to the success of this community mission by adding code, ideas or just valuable feedback !! A mission like this is not born in one day, nor can it grow to such a success by the efforts of just one man:

ARMA 3 PVP server sounds interesting . 
 
But if we want to go above and beyond other competitors @Jester we need to include more extra mission or features to the PVP server, not only sector control.
 
Extras would be:
 
Hostage side missions
Underwater Control Points
Base take over which will give an opposite team some extra vehicle not OP one 
Maybe a take down a communication tower to disable communications for N period in game time
 
*Maybe when an attacking faction is won the round they become defenders and defenders become attackers
(It could hard to implement maybe*)

We are looking to put up a server if it gets enough attention.

My first ever landing in my first lesson.  Man I miss KGYR ;_;

We do want a PvP server, we just haven't got to making our own dedicated pvp with beta coming out I would like to give this PvP ago if it doesn't stay in Dev.
 
It's always been on the table for us to make PVP missions, its just I&A development is very essential.

I've really enjoyed the PvP server we had on dev branch the last few days.  So how about an ArmA 3 PvP server?

Yes, currently being developed a dev version will come out ASAP and we are almost certainly going to have one ready for the full Beta Release.

To Decide the Future of Ahoy World

 

The new AW server "Flagship" is up and running and many things related to ArmA III have been sorted out.  Now there is many many games out there that we can run on the AW server.  Rather than just dictate to our lovely members what we'll get, WE WANT YOU to tell us what it is that you as members want.

 

Currently on Flagship we have:

2x ArmA 3 Invade and Annex 2 Servers

1x Minecraft Vanilla Server

1x Feed the Beast (Minecraft modded) server

 

Currently we are thinking about adding a "Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Server."

We are also committing to add a Assetto Corsa upon release

 

If any particular trends appear on this thread we can have a more serious and focused discussion.  We obviously cant put everyone's idea up (unless you all pick ridiculously light server software.)  But AW isn't an ArmA community and now we want to look forward to new horizons while still maintaining our existing server structure.

 

So go ahead and let myself and the rest of the Staff know... what do you want to see!
