  1. The dynamic vehicle pool isn't necessary, if a SL wants to make the AO more interesting they are free to do so, I think its also unfair to force someone who is new to squadleading to cope with a potentially difficult vehicle situation, the role is hard enough for new players as it is. There's also the feasibility side of it, the pool would have to depend on the number of players online, the type of mission, it will require a 'standard loadout' of vehicles, which will also depend on these factors. What if you get a convoy mission where you have no armed vehicles?

  2. Depending on the squad you join in the lobby, for example B1, that's who you should try to find on the battlefield. If you're unsure maybe wait for someone to respawn or join to help you find who you need. If you're on your own use the micro DAGR to find your fireteam. Radio procedure isn't a huge focus on AWE, unfortunately, however a simple 'Where is Bravo 1?' will do. You may have to repeat a couple of times as they may be in the middle of a firefight at the time, if you weren't hearing anything then probably incorrect radio channel.

Above all find someone who looks like they know what they're doing.

See you around on the battlefield.

    [EDIT] Damn you Ghost

  3. All it usually takes is someone giving a loud 'Lets get going' to give everyone the kick up the arse they need. Most of the time people are procrastinating because they think they are waiting for a plan or transpot etc, when everyone does this is when the problem starts. Of course it helps if teamleads and squad leads hurry everyone along as well.

  4. The reason I keep my engines on when waiting is so that people don't think I'm afk, its all very well staying active in chat but most people won't associate the chat log with the pilot on the pad and that's what probably causes the vote kicks. Vortex is there for the benefit of the ground troops, so decisions should be made on behalf of them, however to that end, if you fly somewhere and someone decides they won't get out, just rtb and repeat as necessary, they soon get the message and if they give you any abuse get hold of an admin. I don't think people not saying anything in the heli is the end of the world, in the end, most people on a public server are there for an hour or so of fun and won't really care where they're put.

  5. I think it is a lot to ask, It takes a long time to get to a profficient level in AWE, and that's with having the consistency of playing Blufor 90% of the time. Playing as Russians maybe 1/10 missions like Gorgona or Al Ruyak was will not give new players time to learn and will just add confusion while they're still trying to grasp standard equipment.

Playing Russian is simply a novelty and not worth it in my opinion.
