  1. Hello guys, here is my input. I like Kieran's idea and I will tell you why. Right now I have come to the conclusion that If I am alpha team lead I will most likely be the squad lead at some point. Now squad leading comes easy to me but, If I am a team lead and I head out into the field without a Longrange radio and then SL disconnects. Now I have to either A push on with no comms and let everything fall apart, or B, waste time finding SL's body to take his LR. As of lately I have just said fuck it and snuck a LR as Alpha 1 TL because I know the inevitable will happen. Simple fix is to use Kieran's new Squad organization.

  2. Other than that I believe this was enjoyable op from bot sides. I heard that the Blufor had an Amazing time with their stealth gameplay and overall it was 10/10. On the Independent side, I enjoy the occasional action along with the engagement as we did not have night vision so it was very tense. We had to rely on other means of spotting enemies using flairs etc! Plz allow us to stuff their ears with jungle leaves b/c shot hurt our ears. Overall I would like to thank @Ryko for not forgetting about us and occasionally giving us something to do 10/10.

This is indeed a rant and also a critic.

I agree with the rules of the server and always try to enforce them in the chain of command when leading any kind of team or reporting bad behaviors as necessary.

But this post is not about that but regarding a specific situation that I'm not even aware of the reasons that cause it. Logging in the server and having the admins online forcing people to run down the air field to prove that the chain of command must be respected is not the way to go.

If people don't respect rules/gameplay in server:

    1) warn them

    2) kick them

    3) ban maybe?

Admin abuse is never the answer.

If I wanted to have punishments I would have joined the real army or just go into another type of server.

I respect the work of the people that make EU3 work and I enjoy (very much) playing there. But I can't support these kind of atitudes and these were exactly the same reasons that made me take a break from Ahoy around 2 years ago, so basically I feel that nothing has changed, only the "faces".

I have been an Admin on two other communities for about 1 year now (Arma Network alias Steve Sanchez just to name one). The communities closed down do do people stealing the mission file but (Thats besides the point). I will have to disagree with you thinking this is admin abuse. This is more admin friendly than ever. It plays more into the aspect of warning people without haveing to state that they are going to be kicked or banned. An admin always tries to deal with a situation in-game and tries to resolve it there. Kicking people randomly and banning them or using lightning is abuse. Making them run the airfield is not abuse. It plays into the aspect of what the military actually does to disciplin people. I fully back @Origins  desicion and I hope he does it more often.

  4. Obviously if you where there today (9/19/16 I became lead of a few operations. One night-op on Altis with parajumps and a few on cherno. With that being said, I am a little rusty from leading as I have only come back to EU3 recently. For those of you who played with me and under my command, plz leave feedback on what I did well and what I could improve on. All feedback is accepted and I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks

  5. Ryko I know it's hard work and I am not trying to replace anything. Sorry if I insulted you or anyone else that develops for this community. I am a texture developer and admin for another community called arma network my name is Steve Sanchez and I can confirm that, so I know how stressful it can be. I have had people want me to change things before and it takes a while for me to get around to it etc. I can create all the sets and post them on here so the community can see them. If anyone else has suggestions for what they would want to see for specific roles then suggest it here. This is a suggestion not an order.

  6. Dear Community,

I understand that the the arsenal has been limited in that there are certain weapons that you can't get but I feel as if there is still to much. I understand that this is not a real Milsim group and that we don't have strict rules but it's time to grow up. I have seen life servers that are stricter with uniforms and weapons when it come to factions of tactical operations. We need to drastically limit the uniforms in EU3 to uniforms with tactical use. Certain maps should only allow certain uniforms and these uniforms should complement the role and location. And for gods sake the team should match for friendly fire purposes! The preset uniforms right now are good but need some tweaking. An there are so many weapons to chose from that any role can be anything. Maybe limit the weapons to 3 to 4 per role so things like mag count and others can be replenished by your buddies. This Is not eu1 or eu2. EU3 comes with responsibility and the agreement to work together as a highly operational unit. It's time to dress and operate like one. If you have any suggestions for uniform tweaks you would like to see please list them below.
