  1. type admin in chat. Most of the time an admin has DaRT or similar program open and we get altered to it. If that doesn't work hop on TS and message an admin there is almost always at least 1 on.
  2. TADST is only used for eu 3. It's eaiser for us to use mods with than with our tools for eu1 and 2

  4. Updated to 2.82D and added the Stratis version of I&A of same mission version into a single .rar file.
  5. 15 minutes was the original time back when I was first toying with the Idea but I felt that 5 minutes was a bit more fair and better to keep things not too boring. Also I believe that the original respawn time for the Jet was going to be 45 minutes but was changed due to the amount of enemy cas in the air.
  6. I&A does not use mods, those files are arma 3 files. You will need to validate the integrity of arma 3. You do that through steam.
  7. cas jets are not out. they are now only spawned from side mission rewards
  8. Seeing as many of you play on EU 3 more than I do I would like some help in writing a FAQ to be put into the map screen. It does need to be scripted in however it is pretty simple and I will show you a quick thing on how to do it but if you guys wouldn't mind either writing one yourself or just contributing a part that would be very helpful. " ]]; basically it needs to look like that. The <br /> is how you create a go to a new line. The "Squads is the subtopic and the "faq" is the main diary tab on the map. please try to cover everything from medics to checking the temp of a weapon.
  9. Weather does not effect ai too much and it also doesn't cause too much of a performance loss. Why I haven't put in a random weather script is because said script will have a bit of a performance hit and from what I've seen all random/dynamic weather scripts have 1 flaw, fog. All weather scripts will eventually spawn fog and fog in arma is almost impossible to get rid of.

  11. It's nice to see that everyone wants custom missions. However, custom missions don't grow on trees. Someone needs to create said missions as right now the only 2 people that make missions are Me and Christiansen. For me between keeping EU 3 running, working on a custom perpetual mission for EU 3, developing I&A, and my personal life I don't have the most amount of time to making custom missions. And I am sure that Christiansen is just as busy with his own stuff. As far as the camo's go, that is up to whoever is making the mission and the reason that people take so long at base is because they are always trying to play dress up. For interviewing members, 1. I sure as hell am not going to spend my time trying to interview people. and I'm sure that no one on the staff would want to. 2. Creating an exclusive server that only people that only a few people can play on goes against several of the ideas that Ahoy World was founded with. 3. We currently don't draw enough people to have a real need to only allow a certain number of people on to the server. I think that the current way of first come first serve is working fine. When it comes to a ranking system we are not going to do that as some people will definitely have an attitude of I'm higher than you therefore I'm better. Also having a ranking system would be a lot of work both on the forums and managing to take care of. And again no one would really want to do it or have the time to. Also we are already the squad lead slots and commander slots reserved to certain people to help speed everything up and make it a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
  12. No, It's just too impractical to implement on missions and there aren't any good mods that put one in.
  13. 2.82 is not headless client enabled. It does use DAC zones however and DAC zones do cache the AI. Unless the unit you are playing has a name added to the DAC config creator file the units will not de-cache themselves. They also do not show up on zues and you will probably need to use thermal's to find the enemies as they will be in a squad of 1 until the player is close.
  14. When your server does that it means that there is a dependency on a mod and the server doesn't have that running.

  16. EOS never spawned enemies at the main AO EOS is only used for spawning units at the destroy urban side objective. Also DAC is far superior to eos if you are willing to put in the time to leran how to use DAC zones. For our internal use. Gives a member of our community the ability to use zues. First remove the slot from in the editor. Second in the initPlayerLocal.sqf should be the last few lines. delete them to allow all players to use the artillery computer. What? what friendly AI?
  17. We are wanting to increase the diversity of missions for our Patrol Ops mission and would like to hear from the people that play on the server what kind of missions they would like to see. Please post any suggestions for missions you want, would like us to try to redo, or missions in Pat Ops that you like and don't want changed.
  18. The rules we had before were mostly things like don't be a dick and weren't written anywhere. Our fault for not having any rules set in stone before, possibly, but I had hoped that the people that played on the server would not need rules like this written down. Unfortunately it seems that some rules did need to be written though. I mostly wrote them to try to keep it fun for everyone and so that people and some intended features would not get cut out.
  19. Updated to 2.82. Now uses DAC ai to spawn in AI. Also AI are awesome.
