    A Godlike Ping

Achievable only through the breakthroughs of quantum computing. @BloodInTheSand
  2. Have class during that exact time period, but I hope things go well.
  3. After uninstalling, restarting, manually deleting the Program Files Sync folder, and reinstalling the old version, it's working fine. Thanks for the help.
  4. I feel like I post in this section way too often. So, another wonderful problem I've been having since yesterday. Prior events/info: Crash log: Crash report: Thanks for all your help in advance.

    The Bugs Strike Again

For any of you who were on when I had this vehicle bug, here's the picture you wanted. Imagine seeing this, driving along the main road, at 90 km/h.
  6. Update. I've solved most of the freezing by just lowering my graphics settings. I'd love to upgrade the RAM, but I don't have the $70 to spend right now. If I come into that, though, I'll definitely look into it.
  7. Updated it again to include those; forgot about them. But, for quick reference, 6 GB of RAM and running on a standard 2 TB hard drive.
  8. PC Specs have been added. I do have a relatively old computer and would love to upgrade but just don't have the money.
  9. For the sake of everybody else, I hope they aren't having this issue, but if I could get any feedback whatsoever about the following I'd be appreciative. Since the 64-bit Arma has come out, I have been practically unable to play due to massive frame drops and, in the most recent case, a crash to desktop. So what's causing the framerate drops? While some of the following things are simply Arma being Arma, most are now due to the 64-bit: Severe framerate drops when spawning in new/deleting old missions. This was bad for the 32-bit (it would get a little laggy, rarely freezing), but now it has resulted in around 10-20 second freezes of my game in which TFAR boots me out and back into the AWE channel twice, if not more. Additionally, even the popup notification describing the new mission itself is enough to cause such a freeze, as when it disappears, I go through the same process again. Entering and exiting vehicles. Upon first logging in and doing two to three missions, this is not bad, but this was the main reason in the 32-bit for my freezing fits. These normally last five to ten seconds and TFAR usually switches channels. In the 64-bit, upon entering a helicopter it caused my whole computer to freeze (had to wait a solid two minutes after CTRL+ALT+DEL'ing to even get the security options), then after 3-4 minutes Arma crashed to desktop with no explanation and TS3 continued to be unresponsive for another couple minutes. My computer (including Task Manager) remained unresponsive until I could close TS3. Shooting/Effects in general. This effect is equal in both versions of Arma; I will often tank to 0-3 FPS (normal is 20) upon loading a new object, shooting/being shot at, or really any nearby action, i.e. a team firing a rocket on a local hilltop or a vehicle firing. Only in high-impact instances like a mortar strike does this result in TFAR booting me out. Other general framerate drops, i.e. Walking or even turning my head. I'm sure this is due mainly just to my computer rendering the terrain, but it has gotten considerably worse on the 64-bit. On the 32-bit, rendering would, on average, bring my FPS from 20 down to 8. Pretty bad, but manageable. On the 64-bit, it now tanks my FPS down to 0-5 and takes a considerably longer amount to render. If the game freezes, it does so anywhere from 3-5 seconds. Is there any way I could revert back to the 32-bit and still be compatible with the server, or are there any settings people would recommend I take a look at to help improve this? PC Specs:
  10. It could be fun either way, but because of the hilarious ragdolls and such it would make for some amazing moments.
  11. So, as many of you probably are aware, Blackwake is an upcoming ship sinking simulator that has gained a very notable reputation over the recent months. Given our typically serious mindset on AWE (or EU1/2), I feel like this would be an interesting and relaxing change of pace. If there's enough support, there could even be attempts at smaller (since you don't need upwards of 15-20 players for a round to work) game nights that could serve as mid-week buffers between the major EU6 ones. Personally I'm enthralled with what I've seen of the game so far; I can see quite a bit of potential in AW for those who prefer a less serious game sometimes.
  12. This is nothing that could be done on our side, but nonetheless I figure I'll throw these ideas out here to get some thoughts. So, regarding the engineer/EOD/demo slot: Should minefields (or if not minefields, then randomized IEDs to keep people and especially convoys on their toes) be implemented again, an EOD bot (ex. the one used in BF3/4) would be exceptionally useful. Only the engineer would be able to deploy this via a backpack, much like the Raven UAV we used to have. Upon deploying, it would drop a terminal (or the terminal could be picked up via the GPS slot in the arsenal) which would be used to control it. The bot would either be a sort of dummy meant to drive over the mine and blow it up, or it could have some actual function and allow remote disarmament via the ACE interaction/scroll wheel menu. EOD suit. So much yes. This would be available via the outfit tab in the arsenal and would provide full explosive coverage at the cost of maneuverability; the suit would weigh 36 kilos, making it reasonable to not bring a vest nor a backpack. Given only to the engineer, it would allow him to disarm a nearby mine or bomb with no risk of injury, even if he sets it off in front of him. If the EOD suit were to be added I would highly suggest implementing risky encounters with civilians, such as the engineer having to put on the EOD suit and disarm a suicide belt. To make it a decent challenge, I would recommend there be a 1-5% chance on any dangerous civilian that the bomb will go off while being defused; this would ensure the suit is used rather than unprotected soldiers exploiting a 100% disarm rate like what currently happens with dirty bomb missions. Just some general thoughts. What does everybody else think?
  13. I'll be on a strict timer, but if you need a hand to help train or if you simply want to shoot at me I'll be glad to hop on for half an hour.

    Mission Briefing

Copey and Moon talk before a mission. Featuring the never-in-the-way rangefinder HUD.
  15. Agreed, the text could have been better but I was focusing specifically on the soldier at the time. I may revisit this in the future if there seems to be a large interest.
  16. Reviving this thread as I got a little inspiration after playing on Enhanced this evening. Soldier is credited to @Numbnuts. Obviously the AW logo looks a bit weird, but I was focusing more on the blend between the soldier.
  17. With added bonus of fire to keep those tendons warm and flexible.
  18. I can vouch for this as well. It hasn't been as bad as what some of you say for me, but there are certainly times where we're close, I look away, look back, and for a split second all I see is the crew floating in the air. I would just go with Ryko here and say it's a rendering problem on RHS's side.
  19. The heat pouring out of it was immense. I was a good couple light seconds out and I was nearly taking heat damage.
  20. I guess you could say this picture is absolutely... Stellar...
  21. I will make sure to miscalculate the time despite having a converter conveniently placed on the page. #American
  22. You need to see my teamleader rifle loadout @BenjaminHL. It's that, but add a grenade launcher onto it. I'm too OP.
