  1. When you have been to the Pub with your friends, and one had that "one shot too much" so you got to carry him out while your squad fixes a cab.
  2. I m in this too. Not so stoked about 2.5 so i wait for 2.6. I 'd be glad to add some people to my empty friendslist.
  3. First Gamenight for me in a while. Looking forward to that. Thx Kieran
  4. @ryko First a big thank you for the continuous work on gauntlet. As for the radios I can give a little input from Monday evening(48A) : 1. First mission I joined in progress. Second mission was fresh after the server crashed. 2. No acre error messages. Neighter in game nor in TS. I used armasync for the update. 3. I used a saved loadout, ditched the radio and got a new one from the arsenal. 4. I can only speak for the 343. 5. We did a radio check in base and it worked fine. Outside of base we sticked together. Maybe the huts and buildings in n'ziwa are filled with nuclear fuel rods My observation was that the radios stopped working at one point, then working again for a few people, then bug out again. I don't see any pattern in when it works / stopps working.
  5. Yeah. My fault. Eastern day time. Must be a colonial term I m not familiar with.
  6. Sorry I have to withdraw, with the updated time frame it gets too late for me. Have fun.
  7. I understand gauntlet isn't maintained atm. Maybe take into consideration to whitelist the NPZ versions of the AK series (western scopes compatibility) to boost acceptance for playing as russians.
  8. Maybe a little change could boost acceptance for playing as russians.
  9. As for the difficulty with the russian scopes I think the rhs AK's offer versions compatible with western standards. Maybe not whitelisted in the Arsenal? They are definitely aviable in my local virtual Arsenal.
  10. Thanks for your work Planting and everyone involved in testing. I will feast on the fruits of your hard labour once I m back on my normal schedule and find some time for pew pew.
  11. Yeah. About the repo link... Maybe pin that if it's not already?
  12. Direct voice is what I ment. Sorry for the confusion. Of course both tfar and acre have it. Personally I think the acre direct voice is a wee bit better.
  13. This sounds very much like something I could enjoy. Sadly on my part, summerholidays are comeing up so the kids and dame demand to go south (mandatory). So I ll be short on playtime for the next two months. I ll have to see how this pans out and how I ll be able to participate. I wish you the best of luck with this project.
  14. My 2 cent on the topic: Tfar was a very stable platform. Easy to use radios for short and long range. Direct chat not on part with ACRE. ACRE had a rough start. Thou I personally don't experience any problems at this point, but I can see it still bugs out occasionally with other players. The direct chat is very nice and as a rifleman I hardly have to use the radio as long as the fireteam cohesion works. (the mandatory push to talk "annoys" me more at this point tbo) I have all my loadouts saved without radio and just grab one from the radio box each time. Personally I prefer ACRE for its direct chat, but if a majority rather wants to go with Tfar it's fine for me too. I just wonder if we go back to Tfar, how much work would it be to adapt gauntlet? And who would be in charge of it?
  15. So the Warthog came in early. Marvelous piece of work. Long story short: Now i get reliabel lock on from a distance of 6.5 miles. I cant pinpoint what happened but i think its primarely the stick and its accuracy in flying the plane. i have a very stable aproach now with next to no need for finetuneing. The hardware definitifley improved my experiance.
  16. I ment the "slew sensitivity" that can be changed on the mfd when the mav is soi. It got a bit better and I now get enough standoff to engage sa-8s. I found an ok offer for the warthog. The x55 is just too wobbly and not precise around the center. Do the warthog programming app and drivers work well with win10? I ll be able to test the hotas once I'm back from Norway in 3 weeks.

  18. HI. I ve remaped my slew key from the wonky nipple to a 4-way hat which improved my precision a bit. additionally i toned the sensitivity from 5 to 8 which gives more fine control. lock on gets better. i wonder how fine i can tune the slew setting of the seeker head. how are your settings in that respect? with a sensitivity of 5 my seeker just ran over the target and wouldnt look. 8 works much better. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Very much appreachiated.
  19. Sorry about the tripple post. i looked for a way to get rid of the copies but couldnt find any. Thanks for cleaning up my mess. OT: I go with your advice, thou i was only setting up Trucks in the mission editor mostly anyway. My median attack height is between 10.000 and 12.000 ft. I was speculateing if the IR seeker if the D model has a hard time tracking on the NTTR environment (desert, hot background). Does anybody have experience with the x55? i use the nipple on the thottle for slew control, maybe i should change that with my trim on the stick for more pecision. i have a craveing for the TM Warthog.
  20. Hey, I was looking for some opinions from experienced pilots on how to improve my lock on distance and reliability on the mavericks. Currently it takes me a few passes to finally get my mavericks to lock on. I can cheat with active pause to slew the mavs and get the tracking gates to close over the target. My usual approach is to find my target with the TGP, lase it, Mark as SPI, slave mav to SPI and try a head on approach (little bit suicidal) until the contrast for the seeker gets better. TMS up short never works for me to lock on (even at around 2 miles) , even when the target is centered in my mav display. So I slew the mav and hope for the tracking gate to lock on. Sadly with a rather bad success rate. My sideways deviation messes me up most of the time. Ground stabilize kicks in to late for me. I guess I m spoiled from the SU 25T ground stabilize. I m almost on par with watching tutorials and flight time . What are your ways to improve your lock on? I m in nfov when I try to slew my mav on target. Would you recommend wfov? I have an x55 (seemingly produced after mad catz took over) that isn't the most accurate so I have to fight my stick a bit to begin with to have a straight and level flight.
  21. That test was quite fun. Looking forward to see more of it.
  22. I enjoyed playing opfor for a change, the AK scopes were fine. Maybe one day we will rush B again, cyka blyat.
