  1. Hey Joker, can you please post your UID so I can confirm which ban it is to remove.

Please be more careful in future, we only remove these bans so many times.

    - Danny

  2. Happy Christmas to you all, unless you don't celebrate it in which case Happy Holidays :D

2015 has been a great year for AhoyWorld, we have seen massive growth and its all thanks to the efforts all of you guys put in, Staff and Members alike! I'm sure 2016 will be just as good if not better for us with new games and gaming experiences coming out. So for now enjoy yourselves in this relaxed period and I look forward to having some fun with you all in the New Year! :D

    Bring on 2016!

  3. Well even with the UID I am unable to find any record of the ban in our logs so with that in mind I have no problem in removing it and giving you the benefit of the doubt.

  4. Hey Kimiko, first off thank you for the ban appeal.

Would it be possible for you to give me your UID as I cannot find a record of your ban using the name you provided. Once I have that I will get this sorted for you.

    - Danny

  5. Despite other members of staff disagreeing with me, I am going to give you a second chance based purely on the fact you have been honest in your appeal and actually made the effort to come here and write one.

Should anything remotely out of line occur again and you are involved, and as such get banned again, there will be no 3rd chance. I hope you have learnt from this and respect this decision which is more than fair, I'm sure you'll agree.

  6. Due to your version of the event not matching up to the banning admins, even after being told to be honest, I have made the decision that the ban will remain.

I find it hard to believe that the admin would remember the events (given the fact it is one ban in a large number he deals with) and the person who committed the act does not.

  7. Final decision is that the week ban stays.

In future try and keep your emotions contained, otherwise you will find yourself being banned because of what somebody else has done. After all, it is only a game, no point getting angry over something so trivial.

As the other guys have said, the best thing you can do is keep calm and report it to an admin or member of staff and let them deal with it.

  8. I've come to a decision. I am going to remove the ban based on the fact that it appears the events which caused this situation to unfold were not entirely of your making and that there was no obvious malicious intent behind anything you did.

As stated by Zissou above, what happened can (and was in this case) easily be seen as ban evasion, however based on what I've read and the other facts at hand I believe it to have just been coincidence and not your deliberate intentions to avoid a ban by disconnecting.

You are free to rejoin our servers, just be extra careful in vehicles when you're around large (or even small) amounts of friendly infantry, we all know too well what ARMA physics can be like when it comes to collisions.

  9. Based on what I've read and heard from people involved I have decided the ban will remain, however it will be shortened from 3 days and can be removed after Midnight tonight (Saturday), GMT time.

i have mesed around with my gun & jeep becus i was so exsited about this game- i wanted to test the cool tracers for this gun.

In regards to this, please DO NOT test game features on our servers. You are perfectly able to test any feature in Single Player mode.

  10. Unless you can provide the name of the person that asked you to blow their chopper up, we only have your side of the story to go on.

Should you be able to provide the player's name and we are able to confirm it was a case of mis-communication before the 3 day ban is up we will remove it early. Aside from that happening the decision will stand.

  11. I first started playing Arma 3 when it was in Alpha with just a small group of friends, most of them drifted away from AhoyWorld because it wasn't what they were looking for, I on the other hand enjoyed my experience and decided to hang around a bit longer to see what it was really all about.

After a week playing I found the website and decided to sign up for my first AhoyWorld gamenight, what happened next was probably the main reason I stuck around and am still here today. The gamenight in question was the birth of the infamous "AhoyWorld Customer Service" recorded message, it was after that night I realised this was a group of guys I could have fun with, regardless of whether we were even playing any games.

About three months in I was invited to become an Admin and graciously accepted. Nine months or so after that (almost 1 year to the date of me joining the community) I was then invited to join the ranks of the Core Staff. Of course it is a big step up in responsibility from Admin but I took the plunge and once again accepted the invitation. As the final right of passage into Core Staff-hood, not long after promotion, I got a full time job which rarely allows me to be around during the busiest times anymore.  :D

2 years on I can say with 100% confidence this is the best community I could have ever been fortunate enough to join and be accepted into, here's to another 2 years!
