Despite not being a part of AhoyWorld anymore I was shocked when I first heard this news. I knew Oderus for the 3 or so years I was here, he was always somebody you could have fun with, whether it be in games or just chilling in the Teamspeak server. We played plenty of games together; Arma, Squad, Project Cars etc. Of course we had our little disagreements, like anybody does (mostly in Project Cars) but we'd both always come back and jump right back into the game and be as friendly as ever. I hadn't spoken to him recently but I think there are certain people you come across in life that you don't forget, for some reason they just stand out and stay with you, I think for a lot of people here that knew him, Oderus was and always will be one of those people. You'll be missed Oderus, keep on being awesome wherever you are.

So I can't really vote in this as I missed most of 2016 which really means I should totally win the "AW most absent staff member 2016:" category. Not least of all because I was so absent I am no longer even staff Not too mention most of the new guys probably don't even know who I am...

As excited as I was for this (I even bought the last piece of DLC I needed) I am unfortunately going to have to pull out (at least from the first couple of races) due to work opportunities that I would be silly to pass up. Maybe I'll still see some of you on the track eventually, good luck to all!

Seeing as you decided to create yet another appeal (your 2nd one today) after being told repeatedly not too I am going to confirm my decision. Despite posting numerous appeals you failed to fully admit or own up to the majority of things you did. Not only that but the fact you cannot wait a couple of days for a decision to be made without obsessively re-posting the same thing has only confirmed to me that you cannot follow the simplest of requests from admins, even after being banned... After reading the chat logs, viewing footage of the lead up to your ban, along with what has occurred here on the forums subsequent to the in-game ban I have decided that at this time the permanent ban will remain. - Danny (Community Referee)

I will look over everything that has been said and all the information that I have available and let you know when I have made a decision. In the meantime I will echo what Zissou and Pero have said, ban appeals are much more likely to go in your favour if you're 100% honest. Usually in cases like this if you try to hide something or don't admit fully to what happened we will know.

Thanks for the appeal. I have heard your name mentioned by Staff members and see that you have been warned for different things a number of times. This final offence seems to justify the action taken by the banning staff member in my opinion. Your ban this time is temporary and will be lifted around 7pm on February 2nd. Thanks for the appeal. In your opinion returning fire to a team-killer may be reasonable, however our rules specifically state that such actions are not allowed on our servers. From the information I have seen your attitude towards staff members was also less than desirable. As a result of both of these actions you received a temporary ban which will be lifted at roughly 7:15pm tomorrow evening. Okay so I've come to a decision and I'm happy to remove the ban and give you another chance, however I will leave you with a message. This whole situation spiralled way out of control over something extremely small, both of you were at fault in my opinion based on what I've seen. Yes some of the things he said in Arma chat were unnecessary however, you continued responding to him, just feeding the fire instead of letting it be when he clearly wasn't interested in what you had to say. As for your comments about Teamspeak, nobody I have spoken to has mentioned anything about him making offensive comments towards members of your family and the footage I have listened to in the lead up to your TS ban shows you completely overreacting with multiple users telling you to calm down and stop it. Of course I wasn't there myself but none of the evidence I have seen leads me to believe your behaviour in Teamspeak was acceptable. In future I would suggest if somebody tries to get a reaction from you then simply ignore them or move away, as many times as is necessary. Alternatively, seek an admin before you put yourself into this position again. - Danny (Community Referee)

Thanks for the appeal. You were warned numerous times about your language by admins yet continued to use it in the servers, as such you were banned. Due to it not being the most serious offence your ban was a temporary one and not permanent so will expire after a set amount of time. However, once this ban is lifted, should you continue to use similar language consistently after being warned we shall have to reconsider our position regarding a permanent ban, I hope this acts as a firm warning of that fact.
