  1. Nice to have you around Tonic. So you are the real Tonic from Armaholics? Look forward to seeing you around.
  2. Had a chance to play with you tonight. Was good to have an active medic. Good to see you here with us. Look forward to many more hours game time with you man.
  3. @raz - why is the "friend" hiking up her skirt for you 0.o lol @BUSTED! Oh yea, and here is me holding my youngest a year ago I believe @ some science factory thingy-ma-bob.
  4. Ahoy wheaties! glad to have you on board. I hope you enjoy your time here and look forward to seeing you in the US server!
  5. I actually thought of an even better idea rather then being able to respawn things. Why not make it (just for birds) to have an icon displayed for any bird that is not holding units. This way if someone abandons one out in the field, or gets shot out while it is landed or the such, and it is not destroyed, people know where to go to fix/pick up the bird. I really am not sure on what the respawn parameters are for the birds but sometimes it seems like it takes them forever to respawn if abandoned.
  6. Welcome aboard! Glad to have you. I am assuming you were playing on the us server? If so, I look forward to having a chance to play with you. I hope you enjoy your stay with us!
  7. In less then 48 hours we got into the top 50 ARMA3 servers running http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/216.231.138.138:2302/ that is including some downtime for testing scripts and a hiccup late last night where I had to restart the box.
  8. I think you might want to keep that beer yerself would hate for you getting in trouble for supplying a minor lol
  9. hahahaha. so far its been true!
  10. Yea i personally don't mind it like it is now. I just constantly am hearing complaints about "man i hate the little bird! Where is the ka 60's?!?!"
  11. I think also that a set range before they appear (i.e. 50 meters) would be a great improvement as well. I do not personally think removing them completely is such a good idea. reason being, if someone falls in some dense area, or people are throwing a bunch of smokes, finding the players down are harder. the markers do help out a bit in this situation.
  12. Welcome aboard Jujubean. I hope you enjoy it. If not I will be sure to ground you forever
  13. This is just a suggestion I am making because the pilots on the US server are always asking why they were removed. From what they say, they don't like flying the littlebird because its to "touchy". Don't shoot the messenger on this one guys. I promised a few of them I would propose it. If I could only get them to sign up here and suggest this stuff on their own.
  14. This I think is brilliant. or even an area where the birds land at the main base that they get repaired to 25% when landing so that if something like this happens. I also think that have a "spawner" might also be abused, I just was very tired last night and didn't think of something like the repair to a minimal state.
  15. Welcome aboard! Glad to have you around.
  16. Glad to be able to help out guys. So far during the trial phase it has proven to be pretty active, so hopefully we see an influx of some new members.
  17. Oh another thing that I forgot to mention that this would help correct is this. (only cause it happened to me earlier and got frustrating) As stated by a couple of you guys, it is not a huge map and driving to AOs/Objectives isn't that bad at all. But when you are playing with just 2-4 people and you take 1 hunter or 2-4 quads out to an objective it takes a good amount of time to complete. Before you know it you complete the objective and go back to your vehicles to move on........ Problem is.... there are no vehicles! they respawned because they were inactive. Having a mobile HQ that does not respawn would alleviate this problem. Again, I am not pushing this at all just wanted to toss that minor problem out there since I experienced it first hand. Getting out there wasnt bad at all. not being able to get back without running the whole way sucks. lol
  18. Someone on our server suggested this tonight and it sounded like a fair enough request that ithought I would mention it here and see what you guys thought. In the US it seems we lack flying abilities sometimes *cough* Here is the situation. I "fresh out of pilot school" pilot flies to the base to pick up units to take to the AO. while landing, the bird kinda comes in hard and takes damage that incapacitates it. Now there is a bird sitting at base that cannot be moved nor blown to respawn. All repair specialists are in the field and cannot repair the bird (or just refuse to fix it). Only fix is to grab a hunter and drive it full tilt into the bird to get it respawned. A possible fix.... A master vehicle spawner. just an npc that does not move nor take damage but is interactable. When you walk up to this npc you can choose to spawn a new bird. Place this npc near the bird spawn point to keep people from using it just for fun. I have seen this type of script used before in missions where you can buy vehicles as you gain money from completing missions etc.... not sure if this is a good or bad idea, but when he suggested it, it seemed very interesting so I thought I would suggest it here for him.
  19. here is something that I noticed as well. It isnt always just people NOT slotted as a mortar gunner. But ALSO "new" mortar gunners as well. they see the option to fold them up and bammmm, all is screwed. I think the only real option here is to be able to remove the option to be able to pack them up altogether as mentioned before, that is if it is possible at all.
  20. Yea I also was thinking that to myself at first. Because it is just a means for people to be reckless without having to worry. But that is why I was trying to think of a way that it could be implemented for when people really want to play but no pilots are available. The best thing I could think of is having it available when less then a set threshold is online. Also maybe add a longer respawn timer on it, say 5-15 minutes. That would make people more cautious of where they park it (i.e. further away) so it isnt getting blown up by enemy. I also think that the time limit per use would be a good idea as well on top of all of that. Not sure how hard that would be to code in though.
  21. I was tossing this idea around in my head today. I am not sure if this was already discussed or tested yet but thought I would get everyones input on the idea. Do you guys think that having something like this would be a good idea or not? I know the BTC revive system has a mobile HQ option that can be used. I think it would be a good idea for when the server is low population and no pilots are on. It would give a decent way to get to objectives that are very far away rather then having to drive each time. Now I also know this could be a potential bad idea as well. It might make everyone not want to use the helis when it is deployed. Thus making the pilot slot not as enjoyable. I am not sure if there could be a way to make it active while under say 10 people are online and inactive when over that number. Or maybe only make it drivable by squad leaders. Maybe have a time limit on the re-use of respawning to it once deployed. Again, I can see both positive as well as negative things with this. I just wanted to hear everyone elses take on it. Thanks for reading.
  22. you have to be kidding me! This is brilliant man! I love all of it man. I am especially liking how you broke down the air/land squads. Let's see if they actually stay true to using those forms of transport Great job man, I hope it gets implemented.
  23. Wok, I was playing while you guys were giving mortar support and yes it was pretty cool. I think that having mortar support is a really good idea and useful as well, but I did see a problem with having so MANY mortars available. It seemed a bit to OP. I was playing medic and had the time to observe rather then seeking enemy out constanly between revives/heals. What I was seeing was way more mortar kills then actual gun fights. With 2-3 mortars it was wiping out full squads of enemy at a time. While this may be a good thing for getting them dead, it seemed as though the infantry units were spending more time just running around trying to find something to shoot at rather then actually getting to shoot at enemy. I think maybe limiting the number of mortars or how many rounds they can fire is a must. I can also see a problem this may cause when people who worry about their score start getting ahold of them. These types of people are just gonna keep lobbing mortars the whole game all over an AO trying to rack up their personal score. That leads me to my next point. Mortars just plain out demolish everything. Beings how the structures do not rebuild themselves, once you level the cities/towns there is not going to be any cover for AI or players alike. Lastly, I think that you should make it that whoever is on a mortar be either in TS or use in game mic to communicate rounds fired. I know when you are being shot at, the last thing you want to do is look at chat to see "round/s out". These are just a couple of the things I noticed while playing and I am not saying I am against mortars. I just hope they get used responsibly and dont take away the fun factor of this mission.
  24. Yes I also think this would be a great idea. I only stumbled onto this mission by accident a few days ago and tried it out. I absolutley love this shit! I am truely addicted. Anyways, I noticed that whenever I join, the groups that were pre-made in the mission do not seem to stick together. I am pretty sure it has to do with what someone else suggested, slots just fill up quick and people would rather not fill certain roles because they do not prefer that role. Anyways, if this would be in use, then being able to group up with your mates and knowing where they are would be a lot easier.
