  1. I think it was something like that kamaradski meant. :-)
  2. When people are behaving and gameplay is great it would be great for admins to reward the players by adding a bit of an extra challenge. This could be done by giving the current admin the chance of choosing where next ao should be and tweak parameters for it. Add side and priority missions at any time and even more than one simultaneously (Three hidden enemy mortar sites!) and more. A sort of game master thing.
  3. What if we have different weight on the rewards depending on the side mission. EXAMPLE: The helicopter mission could be 50% chance to get unarmed ka60, 30% chance for an armed one and the rest for other vehicles. Smuggled explosives could have 60% chance to get an armed hunter of any kind and 30% chance to get an offroad jeep and 10% to get a helicopter.
  4. Some rules on how to approach the landing pads and take off could be helpful too. I've found that the current layout of the pickup zone at spawn has a natural easy approach from the north. If there are other paint objects than the heli pads that we could use as arrows on the ground that points in that direction it would be great. I also refuse to land/take off if there are ground vehicles in the landing area. People will have to remove them first or wait for me while I remove them.

    Centration

    You know it...I'm in.
  6. I suggest we implement respawn penalties. Ie if you repawn, you have to wait like 2 minutes before actually spawning. That goes for everyone. If you cant wait for a medic to revive you...you still have to wait. As an extension: TK, Destruction of civilian buildings (for BLUEFOR) etc...add more time to the timer. Another way to implement penalties: Reduce possible carrying weight. Every time you respawn to get more AA, the less you can bring with you. (add timer, if you don't respawn in a certain amount of time you'll get back carrying capacity. If you respawn before timer runs out, the timer is reset and you can carry even less)

    The Dude

Welcome to the forums :-) We are back in stable branch now. You are welcome to join us. The reason of the missing beta tab in the preferences seems to come from using beta version of steam itself.
  8. Oh. Yea, not all languages or parsers/compilers supports trailing commas (JSON for IE is a famous example). But I understand why it ended up there :-)
  9. This is a common coding practice. This way it's easier to add more elements to the array and you don't have to remember to add an extra comma when you do.
  10. Sweet. Welcome by the way :-)
  11. I told you, there's help to get in the community. Thanks wok for proving my point. My own java knowledge is quite limited at the moment. But I know a lot of other stuff :-)
  12. Yea. I was in co-pilot seat following the pilot around a bit. He was struggling putting the helicopter down while picking me up, so I thought he needed a closer eye. He put the helicopter down on a slope and Govent tried to make a bet that he would be unable to compensate for the lean while taking off and hit the trees. That's exactly what happened. As the pilot didn't communicate or respond to any communication at all I had to forcibly vacate his position for a better pilot.
  13. Welcome to Ahoy World Alexander! //danne, the resident swede :-)
  14. More scandinavians are always welcome (and so is people from any corner of the world, by the way) I noted your name yesterday while staring at the userlist until my eyes teared trying to figure out who the hacker could be. (Yes, you were written off as a suspect ;-)
  15. Welcome! I've got something in my memory thingie that says that I met you in game and found out that you were from Sweden. Is that so?
  16. Welcome. Great to have you around :-)
  17. Welcome to Ahoy World! Great to see people from all over the world enjoying the mission. :-)
  18. So...the question is; are you a smooth operator? Welcome!
  19. It's once again proven that I have no life ;-)
  20. Managed to break side mission immediately. "Smugglers den" mission as usual. Took the boat to the area and accidentaly broke the bilding while firing grenades at enemies. Also found another bug, but that was related to ARMA and not the mission. Still kind of funny: http://youtu.be/cSGgthCfccs Repeatable not only by myself, but also by another player who didn't even see the ruined building (another bug i guess).

    Ahoy!

Well. I've been around the ARMA 3 server for a couple of weeks now. So, I'm from Sweden. Pretty new on the whole online gaming thingie. So I am a bit of a noob when it comes to team speak and stuff. I haven't spoken in english regulary for quite some time, so my tongue quite often get in a twist at the moment. If I stay silent on TS, it's because I temporary have lost a bit of confidence speaking english. Yea...and *cough* I'm probably a bit older than most of you.*cough* BTW: danne is pronounced more like danny than dane. (I probably should change my avatar to something cooler....some time)
  22. Future downloadable versions needs at least to be stripped of link to Ahoy World TS3 server. Confused people from other servers running the mission have been connecting asking for admins and whatnot. Also: I didn't get to play v2.8 long enough to try it out when it was accidentaly run at the public server ahead of times. But if there's no revive action, I believe that's a good addition for future versions.
