I still struggle to play on AWEU3 and always try to get pointers during my short session there. If players can go through the following: Visit forums for guide Install ARMA3Sync Connect to repository Download 18GB of mods Install TFAR on TS Grab the AWE password Play on AWEU3 To ignore somebody who has to repeatedly tell U to follow procedures, shows that U completely disregard the server's rules. Maybe we can share names of ignorant players between the regular AWE players to be on a lookout should they connect? My 2 cents.

I understand this is to prevent rep-farming but why include the Leaderboard? I am not *coughs* interested in who wins the daily race *coughs* but I do keep track (somewhat) post-to-like ratio.

Welcome, Do take note that AWE (EU3) is not a milsim group. As long as U follow the command and hierarchy, everything else is common sense. The primary focus is to have fun in a serious and organised manner.

We strongly advise U to follow the rules; do not TK, troll or waste assets. If U find anybody breaking the rules, U may report them here: http://www.ahoyworld.net/pr/ To have a better experience playing on both vanilla and enhanced server, U can download the repositories using ARMA3SYNC by following this guide: Do take note that the servers are implemented with weapons/attachments restriction so U can only use the appropriate rifles and scope for a particular class. Also, always identify Ur targets if they are friend or foe. Shift + T will give a quick ping that U can also see on map.

Legally, nothing wrong with jumping into a side mission reward. Ethic-wise, could have told the driver of the KUMA to leave because the player who completed it wants to drive what he/she earned. If the said driver refuse to leave, then, he/she better be prepared to get a earful from me when the asset gets wasted. @TheScar and I saw people d/c out of shame because they wasted a totally useful asset. It is not every day players who complete side mission call for dips on their rewards. I earned a number of Blackfoot and Kajman only to see pub pilots waste them.

@Mark T If U have the time, can U teach me how to fly in DCS? I quit and uninstalled it the moment I could not grasp its tutorial on the default plane controls.

I&A 3 is scripted that way. This is to prevent players from being stranded when there are no pilots on and the next AO spawns many kilometers away. The first few AOs after server restart is always the closest to base and will eventually move further. It makes no sense for pilots to fly them there until the 4th AO onwards. Instead of waiting to transport players to these AO, the alternative is to fly them to the side mission if they so choose to complete it. Also, when the distance is further, pilots can enquire if players need resupply since they continue expanding rounds for the next AO spawn. I only consider being pilot when AO is from Faronaki and beyond.

I suggest starting out as rifleman to learn the basics. Always ID Ur targets before engaging. Do not teamkill or destroy assets. If U find player who does such things, report them here: http://www.ahoyworld.net/pr/

@Theronas I like Ur idea. If anything, people on the ground should ask on sidechat if anybody is making requests for verification purposes. All the more, regular forum-goers like us should be the ones on TS to monitor if the pilot is acting on his/her own. If we do not hear anything on TS and sidechat, then, we will warn them about being reported for temporary/permanent ban. We need more of the red markers at USS Freedom saying that the jet is meant to be support only. Same goes for the Wipeout. I know somebody whom @TheScar hates can be in a jet for hours and hours. As of 1600hrs (+8 GMT) today, players are asking for air support as Gryphon and Neophron are causing havoc to the transport pilots. I was happy that the Wasp has its wheels stuck on the carrier.

No but the level of coordination can be taxing for us who are not trained in tank warfare. Even if there is noone to command, we normally will travel light and have MAT as our heaviest hitter.

If in doubt, U can approach players with (AW), (AW+) or (AW Staff) tags. Once U are proficient enough on the public server(s), U might want to try AhoyWorld AWEU3 server.
