    this would be the stuff covered in the advanced section of the flight school for now lots of people seem to be interested and so ill probably organise this flight school. In the signup for it ill put a section on who wants to practise what. so if you're already familiar with flying but just want some explanation on the advanced techniques such as recovering from tailrotor loss and/or autorotating down.

    Do you think its not a good idea to plan a day of gameplay with this in mind? I would like to do it of course, but seems like it would be a bit of a risky option. Some Admin input on the possibility of this would be good as I would like to plan missions and advertise the event if I am going to do it. If we think its going to be too problematic then I will to do it another day but seems a shame to miss release day opportunities.

    Yea its worth a shot if the admins can get it working ofcourse on release day.

  5. This would be a challenging idea we might wanna test it out on EU 2 see where it takes us. Some others improvements on the gameplay might be that people will now actually be forced to work as a squad. What some people do now on I&A is to just lonewolf it with lots of ammo and antitank weapons with the fatigue system working properly now they'd have to group up to be more effective. Engagements will indeed be a little bit more interesting this way as  they will most likely be a little more thought out in terms of risk towards yourself.

     

     

  6. Paratroopers don't indeed bring anything extra to the I&A servers because of how missions are set up. Most of the time you will be shot out of the sky or you'd have to drop in outside the AO which makes it slower then a normal helo drop. Its possible in Alganthes mission files because his missions are set up in a different way and his AI behaves a little bit different as well. It is a nice concept though but i dont think it would need a dedicated slot because of how little time it can actually be used.

    Yea as i said i know VAS is going away in the future and i dont need it guess the people complaining about it wil just have to adapt to the future ;)

     

  8. Definitely looks like a lot of fun.

    It looks a lot cleaner then the normal I&A mission file as well.

    Same issues for me as sniper so Earplugs medical system not working which should be working now i've tested it with alganthe on his private server. I've heard some people complain about no longer having VAS but that's not an issue for me. Basically Good mission

    Hey guys in this video i'll be explaining on how to pick an LZ in the invade and annex servers. I'll just recap my video briefly here as well. 

    1: The LZ need to have enough distance between you and the AO or AA

    2: make sure you have something between you and the AO like a mountain. (make sure mountain is higher compared to the highest point of the AO).

    3:Always keep your final approach low so that AA doesn't get a lock on to your Helo.

    4: Use Common sense every LZ and situation is different ^^

     

    If you guys have any questions and or other tips because i know i haven't covered everything in this video be free to leave a post.

  10. Hey Guys i've been on for quite a bit already and some of you might have played with me already but i thought i might as well do my introductions as well. Basically love the community here and if you're ever in need of a pilot a spotter or tips on flying come see me ;)

  11. As soon a you start gaining some speed your tail rotor become less effective that's why at low speed you can turn much faster then when you are flying at high speeds. Basically when you lose your tail rotor you need to gain speed so that it becomes unnoticable and you just use your speed to fly stable. Trick to landing is indeed like Sniper said just keep correcting your rotor loss. But try and lose speed at the last possible moment before landing. If there are engineers on direct them towards your position and maybe try and land bigger helicopters like the mohawk or ghosthawk on the runway and get a repair team to them after you've touched down. And final tip just get some practice with it in editor land your helicopter shoot your tail rotor out take off and land again.

  12. It has come to my attention that sometimes at certain hours of the day or night there are not many admins online on either TS or the servers themselves. Whenever this occurs some people that normally get instantly dealt with by admins and the community get a "free" pass to do what they're doing up until an admin gets online to either ban or kick them. It might be a solution to grant some regular people that play a lot on the servers and have proven themselves as trustworthy members and of course the ambassadors some more powers. Some ideas might be granting the most trusted ones with the ability to temporary ban players. I know admins are generally scared of this because of the abuse of power it might lead too. but then again if someone gets the status of field ambassador they should be trusted by the community as well as the admins and therefor normally would not be the kind of people to abuse this power. If temporary bans are a bit too powerful it may be a solution to grant them the power to just simply kicking a player and giving them a warning message as well. I think it'd also be a good idea to grant them the ability to control the TS servers a bit more as well i've had mulitple occasions in which a troll or sound spammer entered our TS time after time and with no admins to sort them out it can get quite annoying to come out of the game to mute them time after time. In general there aren't many problems on the servers though but its very ahrd to deal with a guys camping spawn in a slammer and shooting everything hes sees. And for that same reason it may also be an idea to grant some ambassadors the ability to restart the servers but possibly with a limit to how many times they're allowed to do that if possible of course.
