So waking up this morning I realised it was my 1 year anniversary of officially becoming a part of AhoyWorld!
 
There are quite a few people not around any more since I joined (coincidence? Hmmm) but for those who have been around both since the first day and any day since thanks for making me feel like a valued part of this great community and here's to another year!
 
Feel free to have a drink to celebrate! Me being the boring non-alcohol drinker, I will settle for this nice cup of tea next to me

As a heap of you may have noticed, all of our servers (including EU and US servers) are down.
We're currently suffering a large DDoS attack and are working with our hosting companies to resolve the problem as quickly as we can.

i was 5 min away from completing a script i was working on whole day.
 
And i now imagine our dear server being attacked, waiting in it's 19" rack together with all his lovedones and friends hoping that the storm will blow over soon.
 
I can hear the server crying for me to connect and save about 2 hours worth of unsaved progress still opened on it's desktop.....

To make it even worse its also raining cats and dogs over here, so im stairing at 2 windows so to speak

This reminds me of those times when I was a kid and really wanted to go outside and ride my bicycle but couldn't because it was raining, just end up staring out the window angry at the weather. This time I want to stay inside and play PC games, but instead I'm staring at the monitor angry at some unknown losers sitting alone in a dark room somewhere. Times have changed man...

DDos is for kids that dont know how to hack, sadly enough there are loads of those around

I'm a Marine! Not a soldier damnit!   A lot of people think that deployments are just chaos like a Call Of Duty mission.
 
Civilians rarely get to see what we do in our free time/safe time thanks to the American media. That's why we have youtube.

Man Im going to regret posting this.
A video my squad leader made during our last deployment with 2/8 and 1/6 Lima. We were originally based out in Helmand and accepted orders to assist 2/8 with a food run for the villages in their AO since they were undermanned.  Ghazni sucks ass so we tried to make it a lot more enjoyable. I'm at 0:19, shaking my money maker.  

Hi! I'm Liz, or Lizminite and i guess i may have been noticed as a new fixture in the minecraft server :3 But i've just signed up to Ahoy world and i am a little shy, but i am sure i will open up at some point. I am the charming girlfriend of sir Proxima, who many of you will know, and he is the one who suggested i play here.
So i love video games, mainly i am an avid player of pokemon and minecraft, but i love RPG games and am always up for a good MMORPG. I also love shooter games, fighting games, i loooove the binding of Isaac. I love jump scare games, but don't really play them much due to the amount of noise i generate ;3 In general, i am up for playing any game, it is rare to find a game that i do not like, i usually just haven't tried it out.
I love manga, i love drawing, anime and i am a lover of good music (is there anything this chick doesn't like!!?!) Right now i am studying my A levels in: Physics, ICT, Religious Studies and Politics Studies and i have a part time job in a lovely supermarket called Waitrose, i enjoy it a lot.
I look forward to making lots of new friends and deafening you all if you play games with me! <3

I'd be Bufu drifting around yarrr forums *cough* sorry just had to do that one ><
Anyways im Bufu, gaming adict since .... euhm well dunno its been to long, lets just keep it a long time shall we
 
Got a long gaming history behind me, that included popular and less popular games, EVE-Online used to be the main addiction on that list being a more known and popular game, but also games like WoW, lineage II and other simular games.
The game was actually that awsome for me that i had to step away to prevent RL issues cause of it, but that is a whole other story best to not be told on here
 
A short while ago i landed back into the world of minecraft, witch in short version of the story brought me here cause my bro told me to give it a try
 
Also he was kind enough to point me into the direction of Arma, so who knows you might see me derping around there at some point aswell.
But for now il be around minecrafting, and figure out how that works around here, and by the looks of it ill be able to keep myself busy with that for a while before i grow bored of it
 
Anyways, good to see you all, and i hope to stay around for a while and perhaps get to know some new people
