  1. are you running this locally? on a dedicated server? in the editor?

     

    If you are running it through the editor, you are going to notice all kinds of stuff that seems "broken" or not as it is supposed to be. It is designed for being run on a server (as in MP not SP) So if you plan on viewing things you are editing, then do it from the MP editor instead of just the straight editor. I am sure that you will see a lot of your problems will disappear. 

  2. Question for the devs. I'd like to move the UAV/UGV spawn to a different location, but when I do that I notice that some of them start their engines automatically. If I move them back to the original location, then they don't start the engines. I've looked in the editor to try and find a trigger or marker that relates to this, but I cannot. Do you use a hardcoded position somewhere, and force any UGVs within a radius to not start their engines or something?

     

    Does this even make any sense, or am I crazy?

     

    Nothing in our code to control that. Make sure that the unit is set to "not in formation" and is not grouped. Other then that, I am unsure why it would be doing that for you.

  3. I have played Agia and Rogain on I&A during alpha & beta days and there was an issue with Agia marina, 

    where the AI had tendency to attack spawn and spawnkill with AA launchers. 

     

    If it becomes decision to choose between Altis & Stratis on EU #1, i would prefer Altis, despite i do miss the scuba action,

    but it can still be done at least on Pyrgos and few side missions.

     

    no, we would be running this on a seperate server by itself. Our plan is to have a stratis and Altis map up for players to be able to choose which they prefer.

  4. nice work man. I have been buisy with one last update to I&A Altis before i start on the Stratis build again. I will take a look at your though and probably tweak it to our likings. 

     

    We decided to keep it more infantry based again like the old days. no birds at AO spawn, to small of quarters for that.

  5. well we tested this out just a couple minutes ago with about 7 people and it didn't seem to work. could you explain basically what you have going on or how exactly the pilot recieves the points? If i am reading it correctly, they get the points once they return to the point that they pick them up, after of course they drop people off at one of the objectives.

     

    Also initially we got an error on line 22

    (_from distance _to) / (_srcObj distance _dstObj)

    to to be exact. raz said it was something along the lines of "error zero divisible" or the such.

     

    If you want to take another look and see if you maybe missed something or are misplacing a ; we would all love to have this implemented.

  6. most of the "bugs" have been addressed with the update to the btc revive script. well all of the ones I am aware of are fixed to my knowledge anyways. Sometimes we have to run a mission that we have updated to find out what problems we have missed locally. hence you will be playing a few hours with a mission that needs some tweaking still. Hence you will get the versions with a,b,c etc... after it.

     

    without you guys to help test we will never know what problems we need to resolve. we appreciate the feedback very much. Thanks for reporting it.

  7. Are you sure about the re-arm/repair/refuel pads? I tested them last night and they were fine.

     

    or are you saying that the vehicle will repair etc just fine, but the second time it will not? Also, have you noticed if they work fine after respawn?

  8. Even though this didn't happen on any of our servers, I do have to wonder why you'd do it to other servers anyway? Other communities work just as hard as we do to get where they are so why degrade their gameplay?

     

    He is basically saying he does it to the ones who try to make their server look like they are one of ours to fool people into joining them. I am not suspicious of him at all because i have seen him on our servers a number of times and he never has caused trouble for us yet. He is basically just seeking vengeance on those who who try to get users by not doing any work at all. nothing more.

     

    imagine you put years work into something. took time to build it up to where it is. Then someone stole that work and claimed it as theirs...... Or say you created a Mona Lisa, someone comes along and just copies that image and shows the world that THEY painted it.....

     

    would you seek legal justice?

     

     

    is it right? probably not. Is ahoyworld employing this person to do it? nope. Do we condone it? not really. 

     

    Last question..... Did he do it on OUR SERVERS? no. so why punish him for not doing anything wrong on OUR servers? let the other servers owners/admins handle it. NOT US.

    Rotten - you did the right thing contacting an admin.

     

    But as Cain has said, we cannot just ban someone from "word of mouth" from another player.

     

    Zissou came to server and no one backed up the question of "was there TKing going on"?

     

    Now on this perspective, if YOU were an admin, would you have taken action on the player?

     

    I do not doubt what you are saying of what occured. But then again, if I had to put all my money on if you were told not to come on teamspeak or not, I would put my money on zissou that he never told you that. You may have misinterpreted what he was telling you as something else since he did not react to your request and thus think he was taking sides, which he wasn't.

     

    Our admins are hand selected by the core staff, with backing from our other admins. These individuals do not/try not to ... abuse their powers or take sides.

     

    I just think this is a misunderstanding of the situation/outcome. Please by all means, do not feel you cannot join our teamspeak server and ask for help and/or just hang out and chat. This is not the case. If zissou does in fact threaten you or do what you allege he did, i will personally put a boot in his ass.

    I do have another thought in mind. In Invade & Annex, we all know this is a cooperative mission, and there are times when you play the game again and again, it gets (hmmm) kind of dull/boring.

    To hype things up, may I suggest an improvement for Invade & Annex. The game is designed for Bluefor to invade and annex Opfor, right?

    Why not, from time to time, Opfor will also invade and annex Bluefor's base?

    Like we (Bluefor) are heading to an AO or we are currently in the AO then suddenly we have to defend our base from attacking forces.

     

    in the works. I&A 3 will have this type of stuff. :)
