Having taken part last night, the small group learning is always great. Thanks to John for doing it, and everyone else for taking part. I'll probably take part in another one, but, its all about getting confident to do stuff.

I do it all the time, and a fair few others do.

I've added a second screen now, so it now looks like this. Need to sort the cable management plan out though.

At the moment, I use the following.. HP Elitebook i7 2830QM, gives constant 25fps on Arma, however, I will be upgrading over the next week or so to the following.. i7-6700K @ 4.0GHz (looking to OC to 4.5GHz) Z170 ATX Motherboard CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Cooler Crucial 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD WD Black - 3TB HDD Phanteks Enthoo Pro Full Tower Case EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W Power Supply ASUS VG248QE 24" Monitor - No GPU as yet, waiting for GTX1070, and will be getting 2nd monitor, and an additional HDD as well.

I know a few of us who play a fair bit together on the AW servers talk about what setup we use to play Arma (and other things, of course). My question to the members at large, what setup do you use? At the moment, I use the following.. I can see the point you're making, but I have to disagree with using the TWS/TWS MG (or even the Nightstalker) for snipers in night time engagements. I was on EU2 a couple of weeks ago with xSniper1982 when we had a pretty great engagement in an AO where both of us were consistently getting 500-1000m+ kills, using the LRPS/AMS/NVS, with the aid of a medic who was working as our spotter. Between us we cleared the way for the rest of the players to come in and finish the required stuff. We used teamspeak and groupchat in game to the best of effect, with the spotter/medic calling out the reference bearing and target for us, and us calling the shot (using the Lynx and AP rounds is a bonus). A sniper never normally works alone, so I can rely on the spotter for assistance (at least, if I've got someone to spot for me). Marksman is a different thing along similar lines for me. Hes not meant to be a lone wolf type player, just a member of the squad, who uses his rifle as a tool to aid the long range visibility of the squad. again, I'd see them using LRPS/AMS/NVS, along with another team member who can spot using the Nightstalker/TWS/TWS MG, this would mean that he would be the Squad Leaders tool, so to speak. Again, a player may not to work this way, but I don't think a Marksman should have thermal sights, as it may become OP.

Thats exactly what myself and Sniper meant, but, as well as that, if you can submit a player report at the same time, it backs up the admin kicking/banning them and the issue can be resolved quicker.

Theres been issues over the last couple of nights, and, although its a shame I wasn't recording, the player report stuff comes in very handy. If I get time straight away, I use it then (normally if I've been TK'd, as I was a couple of days ago). There is a player who is treading very close to the line, and whilst his behaviour isn't ban worthy yet, he has already been warned for his behaviour on EU2 by several of the hierarchy (Spartans and Field Ambassadors IIRC), as well as normal players, and, it doesn't seem to have sunk in at all. Some players won't change their way of playing, no matter what they see on the ground in front of them.
