  1. I understand that approach, yet as i mentioned it doesnt give you the same feel as before on I+A 2. I assumed while annexing we stage up to a different, better equipped base as we progress. Yea,the start position does totally give the feeling of a amphibious assault had happend and you just set up your Quick Base/FOB - still, imo this doesnt transfer once you (re-)spawned the 5th time there. I m not arguing the placing of different ways of transport,im vouching against the current amount of such. People duping Prowlers like no tommorow, vehicles parked/left all over the place after 30min gameplay, etc. While on this,i also disagree having the "Arsenal" AI guy nxt to the vehicles, its just pure chaos once "some" people feel you block the guy for to long loading your car so they ram you, shoot you or fkk up in chat at best about it. Why not change it to a (visual) regular ammo box a tad further out of the vehicles,so you can choose your ride, load up in peace and then move out of base. And add a marker so people aware of it by viewing map. Seems just way less issues to face to me. I m one of those guys that like Veteran settings on the server,so no eZ map acknowledgment by default. I understand the marker script is needed for viewing movements for players and admins,i dont want that removed. Thx for clearing up about the issue, dear Baconage EU1 / version 1.003
  2. opend a Feedback topic, ignore the topic fisken did - he was just to late!
  3. base design New base looks more like a quick setup for a insurgency army - i quite dislike the position for it too,as you have to travel a shitload of dirtpaths and rocks to get off this (in a vehicle). Way to much vehicles too,we dont really need 2 Hunter HMG + 2 Hunter + 2 Hunter GMG,then the usual gazillions of Quadbikes on base and the Prowlers (which dont apply to the vehicle respawn once no person is near,i crashed in 2-3 by now that just idled empty on a dirtpath forever). And where are the liftable Offroad Repair Service vehicles - did they got cut? Also, base is exposed to FF as base protection script ends just on the hilltop nxt to base and is currently greatly abused by multiple players. AO´s Looks like the radiotower task totally got capped as i failed to witness one radiotower (at least the marker isnt seen on map anymore) and therefor its hard to judge if a AO is safe to approach in vehicles.I just drove in a KUMA (side reward) to nearest AO,fired 2 shots then got rocketeered by enemy air with 1 single rocket. So we back to CAS is now deadly again. Imo there s a way over the line use of the enemy Artillerie obj.Seen at least 4 on 2 different AO´s.Then now its only Sorchors and no guard infantry, guard tanks or whatever - they just sit there waiting to be shot and keep on their firemission. I dont see the point of the AO caches too,its nice to have a additional task in AOs,but what use has it to do this prior to clearing AO per se? advanced FOBs (Martian, etc.) Managed to turn a AO into a FOB after completing it,altho its hardly any difference. You get 1 Hunter HMG + GMG and a truck + a Ammo Box Cache (Arsenal). No Vehicle Service ability - you still have to move back to base in order to service your asset. Which leads to the question of "not having Vehicle Service points" like before on I+A 2 regualr spread on the island.Cant understand that not having this. overall issues I dont find the performance of the mission to be greatly better than before,to me it plays very mediocre,to give a example use a river at best performacne - right now it feels liek a muddy swamp to me. Cant back that up with fact/data. The marker script showing actual groupnames looks nice, but has its issue too.Its not 100% accurate on position and hard to view on map compared to I+A 2 where you coudl easily sit on base and make sense of the movements of markers/people doing stuff. "Clear Vehicle Inventory" options needs to be added to all vehicles. Overall, its a good throw but i need to adapt to the new style of the mission. Honestly, its not a thumbs up for me (yet) - i keep comparing to much to I+A 2 and this isnt necessarily a good thing, but like said i´ll adapt. Currently i see this more like a beta version of the real mission,as imo there quite a few things that needs to be tested (if it fits the community style of play) and some kinks being worked out. So far, great work Bacon, keep on bugfixing and see how your mission plays out to the different playstyle of the community. I´ll be eagerly watching. EU1 / version 1.001
  4. you smell that too? ... ... *sharpens torch and lights pitchfork*
  5. the initial question has been greatly avoided in any replys so far,but i think this comes as closest to my point. EU1 and EU2 past days look like a regular ZEUS mission server. Min. 1 ZEUS mission a day, mostly 2 or more. As much as you may enjoy your ZEUS magic skills,i dont think we need that kind of hvy activity on EU1 or EU2. Less is more. And i can back up the pov that ZEUS spawned rewards mostly benefit a very small group of players. Barely any mission i seen has the initial activity of playes in the end prior to their beginning. Rewarding em with high valuable assets kinda kills any engagement of players after in the game. After all, they should play for mission success not for receiving something max 2% can make any use of. Wipeouts, yesterday a Kajman, the day before 2 Wipes,a KUMA and so on. Nuff said. eZ
  6. now stop grabbling this fellow,he´s not interested greatly in EU3! This guy is EU1 material - and i m saying this in the best positive way in case there s any doubt in my judgement ... Welcome Radek, get a glass of good ol buddy Whisky and dont look at those guys by the bike garage anymore
  7. new old hideout ArmA 3 artwork on EU1 base madnezz corpse on a roof wax and polish will make this better?
  8. I appreciate the "setting a ruleset" for any ZEUS to get the guidelines and basic figured out. I really do,yet this doesnt at all helps in my very situation. We r jumping from "explaining individual tactics from individual ZEUS´s" to talking over engagement range to ... whatever comes nxt. My intial point for this post was the blatant sabotage by "several" ZEUS on more than one side mission i had the engagement on. This is far from discussing a "opinion" on how to act, shoot from which distance or use whatever tool that is to your access. Side Intel missions have rarely any chance of success due to either not understanding pubs, air units flying over it or just simply by the INTEL guy crashing to movement. Then deciding to "enhance" a mission without ANY notice to involved people (yes,me) then screwing me over to the point i loose any motivation to continue on that BS i got handed there by a "overconfident" ZEUS in order to enhance the mission then watching it fail is a unstandable offense ... and yet it happend more than one,two or three times! Everything has a limit and the stuff you "assume" me bitching about like a little girl with no background knowledge makes up for a hilarious read if it wasnt so sad ...
  9. my usual engagement range is 1,5 - 2k distance - if you dislike this happening i d suggest you vouch for a removal of the ability to change view distance. Also, great assumtpion skills - i have yet to read one reply to the actual question ... And screw this positive/negative rating of posts,i m assuming half of the people posting up here have a dedicated view on the topic at all,you just quickscope assumptions,no matter the left or right. How is this usefull? Oh,i get it - clicking a button is way easier than investing 1 min to form a reply with a custom opinion.
  10. Maybe just because the fact that nothing of my mentioned issues do belong to your concern? Or it isnt aimed at you at all? Ever thougt about that? I didnt mentioned any name for a reason, mostly to keep this off of any name smearing at all ... And why would i even to? And my knowledge of you being a ZEUS started yesterday where you told me via public side chat on EU1. But,feel free to go on ...
  11. you dont seem to get the point .... In case this above comment is aimed at my OP,click the spoiler : I´ll gladly continue this very discussion then via PM,as this is not a suitable place to trade hits
  12. the above might reads like a angry, knife between teeth US suburbian had been writing this, but be assured i m not trying to insult anyone in specific there or drop a bucket of acid over the issue in order to have it wreck properly ... Work hard, play hard - no offense
  13. You Sir,definatly must be kidding me ... There s a few things to say about your reply imo: the Spartans are pretty new to MP well, the phrase Quality over Quantity comes to mind here - if you cannot ensure to have all your ZEUS being schooled properly on the "how to" make a proper ZEUS mission/action you maybe shouldnt let em act over hours as ZEUS without being overwatched - also a "After Action Debriefing" might come in usefull. Certainly i dont think a Spartan is made in 2 weeks,it takes at least a few weeks to prepare them for actions on public servers (imo). Its like in my job,i dont train my pupils to to be Master of Chimney Sweeping in 2 weeks and let em run alone doing MY buisness - i let them run with me for quite a time,to gain experience before i let em hunt alone for customers. I also keep in short range when they r working on their own,so in any case of "emergency" i can ASAP give assistence if needed. Basic point is that you need quite some time to get proper schooled ZEUS that are aware of doings and limitations in a MP enviroment. feel free to engage in a debate with the Spartan in question Do you really think i didnt made any effort to "inform" the ZEUS´s in action to check their actions more properly or to leave their hands out of things no one asked em for? Im specifically talking side missions, not any ZEUS mission i took part in and got my ass handed to myself by doing so? I´ve "informed" all 4 ZEUS´s in question directly about my disliking and guess what happend? Excatly, nothing ... Don't go around the person and put up a public topic proving your point and how the other person is wrong, that only escalates the situation. No,No,No I m taking this shit over the time of propably 6 weeks, this isnt the first time i felt the need to open this discussion - but i held myself back for quite some time, always in the hope this certain "attitude" would change. Sadly,it hasnt - therefor this topic. Cant take blame, dont take responsibility. going behind the person's back to prove your point And what point do i prove here? That the actings of some Spartans is quite off to their real duty? That AW does not school their Spartans proper? Or just that some "new" ZEUS never should been getting acess to the program in the first place? Go figure ... For the moment, thank you all for sharing your opinion in this threat in a constructive way.
  14. Right, over the past weeks on my playtime i notice a increase of ZEUS missions (which isnt necessarily a bad thing) but also a rapidly change in ZEUS actions! Back when this ZEUS thing came to A3 the gods focused on creating custom missions for a certain part of the community, helped out players and enforced server rules (to a limit) as a "right hand of admin". Nowadays tho,i witness a certain "overconfidence" on the (newer) ZEUS´s. In example,i got several screens of occasions a ZEUS thougt to "improve" side missions which turn out to either make the mission way longer and stressy than it used to be,up to a point where they complety fuck up any motivation on continueing the begone mission. Background INTEL: So,what does this leads to? Firstly,i wanna quote this Imo this above mentioned examples do perfectly qualify for this. ZEUS´s are here to improve gameplay, enhance gameplay and help securing the server (to a extend). There s is absolutly no need to ZEUS on anybody when said players do not wish to be conflicted with any ZEUS creations, hence even keeping way off ZEUS missions to not get involved. Improving a mission just because you can is not the wished behaviour for a ZEUS (imo) and i m eagerly waiting for a HQ response to the abov mentioned events. This is not how i want my I+A to turn out,you got "special" ZEUS servers,if you feel the need to play the overconfident ZEUS,fel free to play on EU4 and dont take your god given shit to EU1 if you cannot accept simple borders of creation! EU1 is a "beginner/starter" server, imo 1-2 ZEUS missions per 24h is doable, but i applaude for cutting down their actions by a lot because its simply put "tiresome" to face "mission beginners and their crazy thinking of how a MP mission should work on daily basis. There sure is more to say,but this is ok to get a discussion started. Raise your opinions, critic, suggestions and even improvements here - i m expecting a shitload of response by the usual naabs here too,so i ll bite back. And lets see how HQ thinks about the actions of their created gods! Cause this is certainly NOT my AHOY anymore if this continues!

    Hello gents!

welcome to the forums, better late then never ... eh?
  16. class restrictions are in place since 2.86x (dont recall the actual version of change now) It hasnt been brought up for discussion, most people found out the hard way and had to adapt their kits to their class restrictions. In your case the EBR is considerd a "Marksman" rifle,so to use it you either need to be "Marksman" or "Sniper". Hence when playing Spotter having a EBR loaded in your kit its greyed out due to the class restriction.script and you not being able to load it when not occupied above mentioned slots. Load up Arsenal in the Game Options and delete the EBR from your most prefered saved slots and once back on EU1 or EU2 find a different gun when playing "Spotter". Hope that clears it up a bit.
  17. hawt stuff that always cracks me up,enlights my life and is a great startup for tha weekend! long life the King! http://www.tenaciousd.com/
  18. mwhehehe - welcome aboard Im just fkking with ya ... or am i ... not?
  19. im kinda aroused (seen ya play it) and i like the idea of a disease riddled occupation to have some fun on - not rly read into the title at all,i just have this imagination in my head and i already dont care what it takes me to ... That being said, hand me a (beta)key so i might give this a try! edit having checked the webbie of theirs, the "unique fight system" is a thing that reminds me totally to Chivalry - Medieval Warfare which i sunk a few 1000s of hours too and admin´d a Duell Server for it - which was a total destruction of new players due to the fact you needed to spend 100s of hours in practicing glitches/advanced attacks to perform vs anyone that regualry played that game ... To offtopic to be specific on this - but how is the MP part of the performing? BambiHunters?
