Hello Tarby and welcome, Arma is a very good game ineed. Eu1&2 are great, but if you want to get really addicted to arma 3 i advice you to give eu3 a try. Its the the ahoy modded server for arma 3. More serious play and more teamwork. If you havent found out about the rules, you can do so here: Keep those in mind at all time, they are enforced. If you run into problems, jump on teamspeak and find urself a admin or send a pm by the forum. In the beginning i was into flying alot, but it became a bit boring and sometimes frustrating. Theres not a role i dont like, learned to play all roles by trial and error. Most played lately: -FSG gunner/Spotter -Medic -EOD specialist -Machinegunner -UAV operator I can adjust and change role when needed. I like to play in little squads with a max of 3 to 4 players. Ive been a medic once with the scar and we didnt die one time in hours and hours of playing.

Use your role to the best of your ability, if you’re a medic heal people, if you’re a repair specialist, keep your repair kit. My last reaction/conclusion/advice on this topic: - Solve the problem/frustration with communication, use the rules when communication fails. Maybe ask a admin... Sorry for the strange posting above, for some reason i couldnt write text below the quote. But if theres too many people caring about themself, im sure there will be not a single rule able to change the attitude. "They" should ask themself why they are playing on eu3 becouse i would reccomend eu1 & 2 to fit in perfect with their needs.

Theres have been discussions on the forum about this subject before if i im right. Especially if its about the pilots. Pilots are the most discussed role in this community. Also, doing some research and some thinking over about the role you play will get you on the right track. But it will only work when there is a good atmosphere of teamplay. Its good to try and find ways of improving the experience on eu3 and the idea is not bad at all, but to be honest i think these problems can be mostly avoided by the right player mentality. But thats just my humble opinion.

Yeah, i recognise it a bit and it also has to do with the nice weather, atleast for me. I want to swim in my pool and go for a ride on my bike, but its not possible for now becouse ive fractured my wrist, i can play computergames with just one hand.

Hello Alan, Good to see a young mind joining ahoyworld. (Zissou not alone anymore!) About Apex, its quite new (arma 3 celebrating its 3rd year) so thats why the screens are diffrent. Also, make sure you have your search settings correct. Maybe is searching in the filter a option, i can find it easily when i put AHOY as search results. Another option might be to just look at the list of all servers popping up, put them on alphabetical order and do some "old" fashioned eyeballing over the screen. If nothing helps, jump on teamspeak, theres so many willing to help. GL & HF

Dear Dai-San... At first: I completely share you frustration if its about the side mission being wasted/failed by triggerhappy-lookatmeimarambodestroyingeverything-hero's. Secondly: - It isnt a 100% members only forum, but the majority reading the forum are the active members im sure. I dont have the exact stats, but im sure the majority of the people wasting the sidemission dont even know theres a ahoy-forum. Let alone visit it, let alone read all the posts (including this one). At last (in 2 parts): - I dont represent myself as ahoy spokesman but i do give my opinion as i did here before. The point i want(ed) to make is the following: the majority (you included Dai-San) of the ahoy members are very capable arma players. And with some searching on the forums, you find out the side-mission is the most discussed topic if it comes to invade and annex (together or thanks to the endless discussion about the side rewards). I didnt step up on behalf of ALL Ahoy but im 100% sure everybody on this forum knows how to play the side missions. -About me being a ahoy member: im quite well known in the community i think, most people like me and maybe some people dislike me for sure. Im here for over 2 years, being a member for about 15 months and for about a year a donator. Since David took over ahoy im a field ambassador, something i didnt ask for. My approach, specially if there were new players who had 0 experience is to introduce them to invade & annex and do some training, this includes explaining the side-mission. In short Side mission fails are frustrating. Side mission fails are part of the game until the servers become private. I had no intention flooring or insulting anyone. The forum has a very limited reach if it comes to people who dont know what they are doing. I prefer to help people in the game, also explaining the side. I think you misinterpeted me or understood me wrong in my intentions. My apologies for not being more accurate in my previous post and if any insult was given, my sincere apologies.

If you take into consideration this post is on the ahoy forum were 99% of the people know how to play and read, it might be taken as an insult. The ahoy members are not the problem here, its the ones who arent a member who couse the problem.

I make a diffrence in people with a youtube channel just for fun and the ones trying to become a "youtube-star".... Also, I think the "i wanna be famous" youtubers are morons, the people who follow and adore them are complete idiots for me. When it comes to playing games, i can understand why people like to play, but when it comes to watching other people play games, i really dont understand. The same with cooking channels on youtube, dont watch it but go ******* do it urself.

Oh @Cebi ... i think you didnt understand me. Taking a walk is one of the best things you can do if youre pissed off in my opinion. The longer you think things over, the better they'll be once you start with them. Ofcourse he didnt like getting banned and if he did everything with the best intentions, ... i can understand he is very pissed.

Just a little advice when something similar happens, it works in all the situation were people have anger. I try to do it myself aswell: Take a walk. Really, it works.
