Player Slots: 39 (3 Squads of 11, Vortex and a 3 man command element)

 

 

Situation

With only one refuge left the loyalist forces have withdrawn to Mangomak island. There they will make their last stand. There this civil war will end. We have intercepted transmissions that Joseph Lumumba is set to flee the island to be taken in by a sympathetic neighbour. We must not let this happen or he will be able to regain some of the power which we have taken from him.

 

 

Assets:

3 x BTR80 (Usable only when a full crew is available)

2 x Mi-24G

1 x L-159 CAP loadout

Various ground support vehicles

 

 

Friendly Forces:

Army of the Western African Republic 

 

Enemy Forces:

Loyalist forces controlled by the government of Joseph Lumumba

 

Neutral Forces:

A coalition of UN troops 

 

Civilians:

Civilian presence to be expected, concentrated in built up areas.

 

Mission

Defeat the loyalists on Mangomak island and end the civil war. If possible Joseph Lamumba is to be captured alive. Do not let him escape. We have secured the use of an L-159 aircraft fitted out for CAP. This should allow us to have air superiority and prevent his escape.

 

 

Execution

Objectives:

1. Push loyalist force off of Mangomak island

2. Prevent Joseph Lumumba from escaping the island..

3. Engage and neutralise any loyalist forces or equipment encountered

 

Movement Plan:

At Commanders discretion

 

Rules of Engagement:

Enemies may be engaged on sight based on current squad orders

Civilians are present in the area so collateral damage is to be kept to a minimum.

 

 

Admin & Logistics

 

Equipment & Resupply:

At the commander’s control, assets are available at base to facilitate this.

 

Reinforcements:

Unlimited

At commanders discretion, transport assets are available.

 

 

Command & Control

 

Command:

Overall command lays with codename "Overlord" who will set objectives and ROE.

Operational control on the ground lies with the Platoon Commander.

 

Communication:

Radio channels are set for each element and can be viewed as part of the Diary accessible through the map. Platoon has limited discretion for change but structure is to be maintained.
