My story has already been told by raz (even though he forgot about me which is funny you know since we've known each other for 8 years ). I will tell however of how I got core staff. Back in 2012 when we didn't really have a playerbase we had a website developer who was making a new design for us and was part of the core staff team. At that time there was 7 core staff members (prime number) and they were designing a meet the admins page with pictures etc. Now you'll know that prime numbers aren't divisible, so being a stickler for it looking nice he wouldn't make any that didn't look good. So I got added to make the website look good! The funniest part, the website didn't even come to fruition, they disappeared off the face of the earth before it was made. Since that time all but one of the seven have buggered off and I don't think I've done too bad a job of it

You do get a throttle with the saitek one... Darkstar I had the fly 5 when it first came out, never had a problem with it, if you abuse it however..........

Errr, no, it's this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-Hotas-Warthog-Joystick-Throttle/dp/B00371R8P4 Built specifically for the A-10 in DCS but of course you can use it with other stuff too. Any joystick would be fine for it but I'd suggest one with throttle controls and rudder on twist. The Saitek Fly 5 is a good one, it's been out a while though, it was first called the Cyborg X. It's got a hat switch in the centre so that would be useful for targeting pods etc. I think most joysticks come with hat switches though!

One note on trackir, be prepared to get the pro clip new as they break very easily, I'd say over half of users have it covered in tape! Several members have the Thrustmaster HOTAS, it's of good build quality and allows you a lot of function at your fingertips which is really good. Pedals are a good addition but I wouldn't class them as essentials.

We are delighted to announce we have a new US server! It went live yesterday and is currently running I&A Altis as US#1. We'll monitor usage over the coming weeks and months with potential to add another ArmA 3 server. Unfortunately due to our network setup, reaching admins with !ts on the US server is not possible, typing admin in chat however will continue to function. We're also on the lookout for responsible players on the server over the next few weeks for potential additions to our staff team. Enjoy!

It's a Zeus mission so anything can happen. We will be playing The Black City On ArmA3 EU#3 MODDED. The map is Chernarus The meet up time will be as follows: Saturday 15:00 GMT - Role Selection 15:30 GMT - Mission Start You will not be allowed to join in progress once the mission briefing is over.. Is that 17th because of the dates I mentioned? I'm happy to do any weekend so long as it doesn't run past 9pm local (except dates I mentioned) so a 6pm is the latest I could make. For anyone unfamiliar with the track here's a video from project cars, although it's in a car significantly faster than what we'll be in.

Game: Project Cars Location: Nordschleife (track guide here) Date: October 18th 2015 Time: 1700UTC Qualifying time: 30 minutes Race Length: 21 laps (that's 271 miles) Car Class: GT3 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Audi R8 LMS Ultra BMW M3 GT BMW Z4 Ginetta G55 (lol) McLaren 12C Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Ruf RGT 8 Here are the settings for the race, as you can see all 4 weather slots are randomised and synced to the race, that means it could start in heavy fog, turn to clear weather, go to heavy rain and then back to clear again in the 2.4 hours we'll be on track meaning each slot will be about 36 minutes. I may reduce it to 3 weather slots meaning each slot is about 48 minutes. Time progression is on 10x so 24 hours will pass in 2.4 hours, perfect for this race. Starting time will be between 10 and 12 and the time of year will be current, the later the race is held the worse the shadows will be and the longer the night will be. Damage will also be on either "Performance impacting" or "Full Damage", I'd like damage to be possible but not possible to put you out the race in 1 crash. I'm going to play about with them to see what they're like. This race is tailored to the hardcore sim racers however anyone is welcome to race as it's a real achievement to complete an event like this. (SIGN UP SHEET)
