    Description

    PvP Mission "Suits"

    BLUFOR and OPFOR need to negotiate for the release of an American ambassador held in Chernarus.

     

    Considerations

    This is meant to be just a quick, fun mission (no waiting time, no dillydallying) in preparation for a multi-mission PvP gamenight hosted sometime later. 

    Mission will be locked to first person only

     

    Teams

    BLUFOR (Attacking) (~30 Slots)

  2. Totally agree both of you. The addition of AI enhancement, beside increasing the difficulty of the mission, allows for less AI to be spawned on the battlefield. 

    "Soviet Intervention" (last night's game night) originally had 300 groups roaming Takistan. In order to match the required difficulty (without ASR) that was needed for thirty people, we needed to boost it to 700. ASR AI 3 essentially halved the required AI load on the server, and the AI were not only just as hard, but dramatically smarter.

     

    Lol, we tried to use our BTR once from close range to assault a city. It was there for TWO minutes and an RPG took it out. God damn that was great. Never happened before to me.

    Summary:

         Following the 1979 invasion of Afghanistan, the Soviets are at it again; this time with Takistan. Invading from the South, a platoon sized force must capture ground town-to-town while at the same time taking down strategic enemy objectives. Enemy forces are expected to have numerous ground troops, static fortifications, light to medium armor, and possible air power.

         Anna squad and Boris squad will be led by platoon commander with the help of a variable fire support group. Casevac will be available to provide emergency medical assistance, logistical support, and occasional CAS.

    MODs: Standard EU3 modset (including ALIVE)
    Player Count: 25
    Mission Length: ~2-3 Hours (JIP allowed)
    Mission: Hearts and Minds In Takistan

    Mission will be locked to first-person only with semi-restricted loadouts

    Summary:
    BLUFOR is maintaining patrols around Takistan to keep check on the insurgent forces as well as keep relations friendly with the civilians. Currently, relations are on edge; many civilians groups have started to actively retaliate with roadside bombs and full on assaults. As the civilians like us more, fewer will join the ranks of the insurgents.

    Tasking is to:
    1) Relieve tensions with civilians
    2) Obtain intel from civilians
    3) Use that intel to attack key insurgent positions.

    Insurgents have occupied many towns which may need clearing out. They also roam the surrounding deserts and small villages. Your ultimate goal is to ensure the area is safe for civilians by clearing those towns as well as destroying key enemy caches or HQs as information is obtained.

  5. All it seems to do is contribute to disorganization, because the basic rifleman has to go solely off what his team lead tells him. If that team lead gets killed, that team is now blind and it gets harder to receive orders, nor give marks on the map for enemy AI or armor.

     

    I'm for the readdition of side chat to allow every player (especially new players that don't know exactly whats going on) to have a basic understanding of the plan. Otherwise it can easily devolve into chaos.

    Why (in your personal opinion) should your ban be lifted?*: I was attempting to get ACRE to work, but the plugin simply did not pull me in,          then I was immediately banned.

    Which administrator banned you (ArmA 3 only)?: Might have been Glitch, but he did not have power to unban.
