    Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

    I agree with Dave here. I'm not going to update to Steam Edition as I have far too much invested in the current boxed edition that is not yet compatible with SE. Its the same reason why I've never bothered with P3D. 

     

    If at some point in the future, devs are predominately creating content for SE and not the boxed version (which I do see coming), then I will have no choice but to consider the switch. Hopefully by that time the vast majority of the addons I use now will be compatible with SE and I won't have to pay anything to get a SE compatible file (which I've heard isn't the case with P3D, another reason I won't switch).

     

    Until that time arrives, I will be sticking with the boxed edition and so will require FSHost to join in with you guys (which I would like to do). 

    Meh. It only cost me £3.99 so I decided with the fact the game actually works better now and it has MP support I would go and get it. 

    But, yeah, sure. The more the merrier! 

    I'm thinking of trying to actually have this as a gamenight. Is there anything planned in for Saturday as of yet?

    Hey guys,

    I and a few other people that I'm aware of own FSX: Steam Ed. 

    I was thinking perhaps we could maybe even throw together a Gamenight where we have a 747 (Will be Air Force One livery) flies out to Area 51 for a Presidential meeting with a Captain (Me) and a First Officer aboard (vacant). AF1 will be escorted by a few F18's (Default ones kindly added to the Steam Edition), how many F18's will be determined by the amount of people who show interest.


    I think this could have the potential to make an awesome video and a fun gamenight.

    Rainbow Six: Siege [Closed Alpha]

    Should all know, that a while back there was a Rainbow 6 game that indeed had a trailer. That particular Rainbow 6 incarnation did not make it and was scrapped i believe. I hope this one actualy makes it, cause Rainbow 6 is also one of my favorite series of old. I didnt mind the Rainbow 6 Vegas games, but i do hope parts of the older games return and it is less CoD like as in full on FPS. R6 Vegas was nice, but sometimes it felt way to thin on the tactical gameplay in alot of ways.

    Yeah I remember that trailer. It was also like a first person Heavy Rain type thing. It looked garbage, to be fair. The stuff shown off last year looks dank, though.

    My PC took a big smelly poop about two weeks ago and died :( It may be another few weeks until I'm back in action. Just thought I'd let you guys know that I am in-fact; not dead.

    Anyway, continue to have fun and lulz without me :(

    I would also like to let ya'll know I'm gunna be working on an Alpha Squad logo that I shall use for my little forum signature and share with you guys too! :)

     

    If you have any ideas on a cool logo to scare dem CSAT forces, please let me know! :D

    M64,  our glorious leader - for making me feel like I was back in the forces (especially for making a recent arrival his "bitch" for 10 minutes ... not going to mention Ducky's name to save his embarrassment ... oops!)

    Elcour, my fireteam leader  -  for filling me with morphine after nearly every engagement .. I don't think I could have gone much further without it !

    HOK - whose piloting skills became legend  "How do I turn this thing on again?"

    Razor Squad Operators capture Key CSAT Commander



     

    Today NATO are pleased to announce that the capture of a key CSAT Commander - Mamed Jalali. In a daring raid that lasted little over 5 hours, Operators from (formerly known as 'Alpha')  Razor Squad - NATO Special Forces, successfully conducted combat operations which concluded in the capturing of Mamed Jalali; who is one of the key players in CSAT's High Command on Altis. He is considered to be a ruthless man with no compassion for his own men or for that of civilians. 
     

    Earlier this year Jalali was put on the UN's Top 10 wanted list for War Crimes. As such, NATO High Command had made capturing Jalali a high priority.

    The brave men from the Special Forces team who conducted the raid can obviously not be named for security reasons but we spoke with one or two of them briefly back at NATO's base of Operations on Altis. They had this to say:

    Soldier A [squad Lead]: "I am ecstatic with the result of today's raid on Jalali's compound. We, together with the intelligence community, have been monitoring Jalali's status on Altis for some time now. This was the best possible result we could hope for. He will answer for his War Crimes. This is a great day for the people of Altis."
     
    Soldier B: "I've trained for this kind of thing my whole life. So when you're in that chopper about to touch down... knowing what is ahead may kill you, that adrenaline runs, time slows and everything becomes clear as to what you must do."

    Soldier C: "Absolutely f*****g brilliant. I'm glad we finally nailed this guy." -

    Alpha squad makes headway in Altis conflict

     

     

     

     

     

    As some of you may know, NATO Forces have been stationed in Altis for some time now. To combat the rise of the CSAT presence on the island. As the fighting has intensified it calls for a new type of warrior. Special Forces operators from Alpha squad who have recently been deployed to the island to take part in Campaign-sensitive missions. This is a photo from before they set out today to carry out taskings. The group were deployed on-mission for over 6 hours, making a significant contribution in NATO's stabilization effort to bring peace to the island.

    Calling all Flight Sim enthusiasts

    Hey everyone, 

    hope everyone has been alive and well! Been stuck on ideas for my next video and I'm thinking of venturing back in to the world of FSX for it. What I'm wanting to do is play online with someone so we have a full pilot/co pilot set up. Think it would be cool do something like this so if you are interested give me a shout!
