    Well we'll see how it goes, we only got it running in the last 4 hours, I'd personally like to see complete removal. 3rd person is a funny one though, we've just gotta figure out popularity first I guess :)

  2. I actually brought up thermals in channel, most don't want it removed but removal from spawning & a big price tag seemed a popular alternative. We're also looking at missions, I'm not altogether with mission making so I can't really say what's possible. 3rd person is likely to stay, but depends what the majority want. We're keen to keep away from making it really easy though. Feel free to drop in :)

     

    I'm a fussy bastard when it comes to my Arma PvP! For coop missions it's fine to use 3rd person, crosshairs and thermals but not for PvP in my opinion. Too much sitting behind a wall and being able to see exactly what is going on the other side just doesn't make sense to me. I could live with thermals being ultra rare in the loot spawn table but even having them for sale for lots of money still makes me cry a little bit inside! We'll see how it goes I guess!

     

    I'll say it again though, good to see the I&A chaps on the scene.

  3. Nice to see you guys getting involved in this. Going to be interesting to see what you can develop (some decent "Exile" related missions would be nice)!

     

    Is this all vanilla at the minute? My only suggestions would be (I've not yet connected to the server so I may be off the mark here) the removal of thermals and 1st person only. Both ruin Arma PvP!

  4. In regards to the weapon cache mission, how about spawning in an ammo cache and setting

    clearweaponcargo this;  clearmagazinecargo this;

    in its init and placing that in the building that gets destroyed to trigger mission complete?

     

    Just finished a 4 hour session on our server with about 20 players (had to lock it in the end due to randomers joining and messing around) and we had no bugs at all. I will try and get some feedback off the guys tomorrow at some point and will post in here. The majority of it was "make a better map" so nothing related to the mission file!

  5. Fantastic work. Having an absolute blast with this.

     

    Would there be any way to add in a small amount of mouse control and a small level of zoom to the UAV?

     

    Maybe add a OpFor weapon cache for the explosives side mission as a reference to what to blow up instead of an empty building?

     

    Limit classes weapon usage. AT can only use AT weapons, marksman only class able to use snipers etc. At the minute we are seeing everyone pick up a sniper and AT.

  6. One thing I noticed after the server was running for 24 hours was the amount of gear that had been dumped on the ground around the weapon crates at the base. I'm guessing this is connected to Melbo's earlier post regarding being unable to unequip items in the weapons ceates so they are dumped on the ground instead. Any chance you could add in a gear clean up script. Our server is now open to the public, I have added BTC revive and every thing is running fine. Filter for UKGZ

     

    Do you run with the AI enabled on your server?

  7. Sounds like the BIS First Aid module at work. All you need to do is group up the units to the modules pretty much. I will have a look and see what I can come up with for you.

     

    Edit - Seems like the first aid modules are not in A3 at the minute. Been playing around with this script for a while and seems to be doing the job ok.

    Also another suggestion. Maybe make it 32 players? Keep the 2 pilots but possibly standardise the the sections.Possibly 6 teams of 5 units that consist of Team Leader, Medic, AT, Marksman and Grenadier/MG?

    Changed: Six 5 man sections. 2 pilots. (32 players)
    Added: Virtual Ammobox System
    Added: =BTC= Revive 
    Added: Body/Vehicle Clean-up script

    Seems to be going down pretty well so far!

     

    Edit 2 - Revive script and VAS script seem to be causing issues with each other. When you die and respawn, you cannot enter the VAS menu.

  8. Great work guys, big fan of Domination in ArmA2.

    Would love to see a revive option put in.

    Our group like to play as a squad and giving medical

    assistance to a friend in the field while the rest of the squad provides cover would be awesome.

    This would be a massive plus. Had a good game of Insurgency (ArmA II) last night on one of our servers and it adds in so much. Picking up and carrying an injured oppo while under fire is awesome! Although that might just because I am one of those messed up ex-military guys...who knows!
