    I'm sorry to hear that.

    Yes both cars are not licensed GT3 cars, but it's a fun event. The BMW M3 GT might have a small advantage over the thers if I remember right, so I might remove it, but the Corvette should be alright.

    Every year motorsport fans gather in belgium to attend the 24 hours of Spa. First held in 1923, raced on multiple layouts, the 24 hours of Spa grew into the world’s biggest endurance race exclusively running GT cars.

    To celebrate this years 24 hours of Spa which takes place on 26 - 31 JULY 2016, we will do a simulated 24 hour race over 26 Laps (approx. 1 hour).

    TIME: 18.00 BST / 19.00 CEST / 17.00 UTC (Qualifying)

    CIRCUIT: Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps

    CLASS: GT3

     

    SESSIONS

    Qualifying: 1 hour

    Race: 26 Laps / ~1 hour (with a ingame 24 hour cycle)

    Time acceleration: 25x (can`t set it to 24x)

    Weather Slots: 4

    Weather Slot 1: Medium Cloud

    RULES

    I want to keep rules to a minimum, we are here to have fun.

     

    1. Any major damage to the car has to be fixed in pits (car needs to be race-safe ie. full bodywork, no missing tyres, etc)
    2. Any corner cutting to gain any advantage will be punished.
    3. If a position is gained by cutting a corner while overtaking, it has to be given back
    4. Any major race incidents will be looked into at the end of the race and might be punished with time penalties

    SIGNUP

    No special form, just post in this thread if you wish to participate and which car will you want to use. Please pick a skin/number of the car and include it when signing up (so we don`t all end up driving cars with same skins).

     

    Players that sign up till Sunday @ 11.00 BST / 12.00 CEST, do have priorities to which skins do they want to use over those who will not.

     

    Host

    The Race will be hosted on a dedicated server located in germany.

    Server name and password will be provided on TS3.

     

    I will probably put up the server in qualifying mode a week before.

     

    Couple of notes

    • The 1 hour qualifying will have the full day night cycle like the race but NOT the changing weather. It will have Medium Cloud!

    • In the race weather will change every 6.5 laps

    • The random weather slot can be anything, so be prepared for a wet stint.

    • There are no mandatory pit stops, if someone manages to do the race on one set of tires thats fine but I highly doubt it is possible.

    • Recommended number of pit stops is 2

    • Soft tires last for ~ 6 laps

    • Medium tires last for ~ 9 laps

    • Hard tires last for ~ 13 laps
