I can understand what you are saying but you must have that 20-30 sec to land a UAV by your own that shouldn't be a problem.Another problem is if there's an autoland function for the Grayhawks that the UAV Operator let the UAV land and blocks then entire runway
for other air vehicles and forget what he has done.
That's exactly the problem with the Carrier at the moment that UAV Operators let the Sentinel land and leave it there till a jet requests the UAV Operator
to clear the runway.
Sorry for the bad english.
Good point, Leaving them is something kickable in my opinion, I always fold sentinels wings and park him behind the rearm hemtts.
20-30 seconds are too fast. In old mechanics it was possible, Not in new tho. Currently to do full landing sequence i need at least 1.5-3min(greyhawks love to gain speed on descent more than needed)
P.S. your english is ok :P, nothing to be sorry for.

So, the problem I encountered lately is that Greyhawks have only one auto land location - Almyra lake strip. Tho the Sentinel lands at terminal and Carrier at least, carrier being its resupply. To resupply greyhawks you have to land them manually at the main base dirt strip, which is pretty irritating when players want you supporting their bottoms at the ground.
So the idea is to ether add a resupply position to almyra lake, or to add landing autopilot for dirt, so you are not leaving off all the other UAV's while landing that pesky grayhawk.

Rogur that, than maybe it was some arma glitch. Thanks for replies!
QuoteThat is a thing I have never heard about before. Double-Alt was not the issue? Did you
- Run any mods
- Restart you game before testing it in the editor?
Literally nothnig worked, i could only move camera in halfof cockpit. Also, yeah, it seemed like if i was in freelook mode, but i checke about 10 times if it was so, and i wasnt.

Hello, Dear forumlivers, and i have encountered a bit of problem during my I&A gameplay. Not sure if it is the forum to post it, so move it if something's wrong.
I have read a post from AW core st. here that gunship gunner may not be a pilot, tho as i tried to enter blackfoot's gunner slot, i have encountered a trouble. I can be in seat, tho I cannot switch to turret control camera, and turret is not following my reticle when in cockpit view. Tho, i can press LMB to fire cannons. I had an argue with a pilot of this BF, as a milsim server guner for >10 times, to prove that I did not mess up my bindnigs, i went into editor and flown around with AI in blackfoot, seamlessly cotrolling the gun. So, i figured this is some kind of lock on the serverside.
To suggestion, i really want the lock to be disabled if it exests, because idea that repspec can be a co-pilot and a gunner is really good, along with not using one of VORTEX'es who can do something more useful.
Thanks, your annoying,
Gremlin(Mac)

Hello! Nice to see new players in my fav arma community. AW I&A is best place for new players to start off. Great large-scale coop experience, great community. Hope you will have a lot of fun here.

Then one day I was playing on a wasteland server with my friends and realized the potential and ability of a medic. (See how this relates to my name?) A good medic, I found, could single handled turn the tide of an engagement. I then went back to those servers I had written off before hand and experimented with playing varying types of medics. I found that I loved this style of play and how powerful whilst incredibly helpful at the same time.
This is great thought, mate. Medics working with their squads are pain in the arse for any zeus scenario, because theres litteraly no realistic way to take them down. Not even speaking about AO incursions, squad of 4-5 men and a careful medic can handle whole AO in half an hour or so.
As stan said, See you in the field!

Hello there!
With all the blockbuster imaginations going on in your head, I am pretty sure players will have a blockbuster time playing Ur Zeus' missions!
Hope so... Yesterday tried out concept of convoy mission. Pretty tricky thing to make AI do what convoy does, because of really wonky nature of how vehicle squads handle road waypoints, but it is possible. Gonna throw this idea to active spartans on EU1.

Hello, or better, Ahoy mateys!
I am Gremlin/Mac.
I am on this forum for about a year now, but never really got to post my intro!
So, a bit about my ARMA self.
Been playing science steam ARMAII release. Dig the game, dig the teamwork, dig the epic scale.
First having fun in editor, making training missions for myself. Then got into flying planes, then helicopters. Then stumbled upon the AW I&A and fell in love. Was a bit confusing at first, but forgive my first humble multiplayer steps. Took me awhile to get my fists tight and get onto VORTEX(I will explain my flight addiction in my IRL self part.)
and, again, fell in love. Science then was trying out the support roles, when they are required. If VTX, FSG, and DS are filled with players who are potent enough to fulfill these roles(and not crash a greyhawk into ghosthawk with mortars, ghosthawk with mortars into greyhawk, shoot ghosthawk with a mortar so it falls an greyh... ok, that is enough, you got the idea.) because of large amount of aspects it took me a pretty while of training to figure out the UAV's in editor.
The only thing I learnt on the go while playing on AW without editor preparations is the change in UAV lock-on system. Took a while to figure that now you need to just select a target.
Meanwhile piloting on VTX, stumbled upon luetin during one of his old Zeus events, and he linked me to his channel(on topic of helicopter effective landing), and I, of course started watching his streams on ARMA Zeus ops. Never thought of being a Zeus myself for some reason. And suddenly it struck me with... you know, Zeus, lightnings... nice joke, Huh?!
And here I am waiting for the decision on my Spartan application.
Now for the sakes of real me.
I am 20y. o. Student from Mazer Rassha, Moscow :D.
My passion for flight is pretty simply explained - I lived in Prague for more than half of my life, and flown back and forth between Moscow and Prague, science my parents live in these countries. And got bored of flying on passenger seat.
Currently own a Private Pilot License(PPL)
and Commecial Pilot License(CPL-IF-ME) last stand for extensions for in flight in bad weather conditions(Instrumental Flight) and Multi-Engine planes(ME).
hoping to get that ATPL(Airline Transport Pilot License), which will grant me access to work in civil aviation as Capitan pilot airliner. My dream is to work in Lufthansa.
lots'o'money, lots'o'flyin'.
I believe that people can be kind to each other despite controversial interests.
Also I am an amateur writer. This is how I fall asleep. I create a midboggling blockbuster in my head. At 15% of the story a fall asleep. Otherwise I am not able to sleep. At some point figured that I probably should write something down.
That at is it about me, mates, leave a comment, introduce yourselves!

Hey ziggs, Thanks, no offense, but it is not the problem here. I am talking about time the UAV takes to land manually.
This clears it out for me completely. Salt lake AO's are clearly too big of a loss compared to the time of UAV m. landing.
