Lately I have wanted to try EU1 so I installed the official allowed mod repository and lauched with arma 3 sync. As arma loads addons it gives me a missing .hpp error.
Is anyone else getting this error?

My thoughts on this previously - http://www.ahoyworld.co.uk/topic/4565-the-radio-channels-discussion-topic/
In short, neither system is perfect, especially for players who haven't played together extensively.
It's probably easier to stick everyone on the same channel if you're dealing with new players. But that essentially takes away any role for the Team leader, other than being a fallback if the Squad Leader gets killed.

I really shouldve checked for another post..... XD

First of all I know EU3 is not a "Mil sim" server, and this is very trivial I just want the best experience for everyone and a good old discussion.
So I've been gone for a little while with little activity, I've come back in the last few days to find that people in general have been using multiple channels for each squad, e.g. General-100 Alpha1-110 Alpha2-120
In the past (to my knowlage anyway) when the server has a normal player count only one frequency is used, and in some low player count situations where less than a squad e.g. only alpha 1 and alpha 2 were on seperate channels were used.
In my opinion having seperate channels is just complicating things for people forcing them to set up alternatives and also forcing teamleads to have to communicate every thing to there fireteam. (Although this may be a good thing). Anyway this all depends on how the squad lead or command element wants to do it and I respect that.
Whats your opinion? How do you do your squads channels, and why?
Again this is a very trivial topic and should not be takin to seriously.
Have a good day! (or night)
***EDIT*** This may be in the wrong subthread

This is prob a really stupid question but can you fly the trainer in multiplayer? e.g. with you guys?
-
Most liked/played:
- Arma 3
- S**tThunder
- CS:GO
- Kerbal Space Program
- Wargame: Reddragon
Disliked:
- Smite (Never gonna like MOBA's)
- Most of those other 50 games I bought and never played.
Wishlist:
- DCS
- Rainbow Six: Seige(When it comes out)

Just wondering what you guys fly the most frequently in DCS and what dlc I should buy first.
I've been looking at the F-15c, A-10c, Su-27 and the flaming cliffs DLC, I personally am not a big fan of russian and Post WW2/ WW2 aircraft. (Except for the Su-27). DCS dlc is on sale most going for €8 euro with Flaming and A-10c going for €22.
Thanks!!!
*Edit* Just realised Su-27 and F-15c are both included with Flaming cliffs. *Edit*

Thanks for all the replies, I'm probobly gonna retire the attack 3 XD and get a fly 5 or other stick with a twist axis and hatch switch, one more note any recommended aircraft for dcs (pretty sure im gonna get a-10 straight away) and servers/communities? does ahoyworld have any servers?
hope to see you guys in the sky in the near future thanks again!!!

Errr, no, it's this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-Hotas-Warthog-Joystick-Throttle/dp/B00371R8P4
Built specifically for the A-10 in DCS but of course you can use it with other stuff too. Any joystick would be fine for it but I'd suggest one with throttle controls and rudder on twist. The Saitek Fly 5 is a good one, it's been out a while though, it was first called the Cyborg X. It's got a hat switch in the centre so that would be useful for targeting pods etc. I think most joysticks come with hat switches though!
Yea thats what I thought at first. Completely out of my budget, the saetek one looks good but id like to have a throttle aswell
That looks awesome solex, how much did you spend on that XD

I found out through Leutins EU4 videos then transitioned to EU3 modded

One note on trackir, be prepared to get the pro clip new as they break very easily, I'd say over half of users have it covered in tape!
Several members have the Thrustmaster HOTAS, it's of good build quality and allows you a lot of function at your fingertips which is really good. Pedals are a good addition but I wouldn't class them as essentials.
Thanks for the response! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-T-Flight-Hotas-Joystick-PS3/dp/B001CXYMFS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1446315500&sr=8-1&keywords=thrustmaster+hotas+x < is this it? Looks good, any of your pilots have any DIY headtrackers etc. (freetrack etc.) and how were there experienses?

I'm looking to get into DCS, I'm wondering what equipment is essential and any recommended pieces of equipment, Joysticks, throttles full hotas, pedals etc.
I'm looking to get a trackir second hand as a christmas present to myself (or maybe a bit earlyer).
I currently own a logitech attack 3 (witch i doubt will cut it) and a very primitive DIY 3 degree headtracker(which broke down recently).
All of which I use to play Warthunder Sim.
Thanks!

Get on my level
reminds me of EU1 pilots.... except i bet these guys don't crash into every power line possible
Is it even possible to set arma 3 water to behave like that, server/zeus side or with a mod? As far as I know it's always flat like a pancakeyou can definitly make it rougher but not as bad as that
-
I bet these guys dont spend 30 mins playing dressup at the arsenal

Those are pretty epic XD mustof taken ages
