    The files that will be causing the issue will be \Missions\Side\secureintelvehicle.sqf and \Missions\Side\secureintelunit.sqf

    Sure.
     
    As an example, in the Missions\Priority\priorityarty.sqf file, we changed
    _position = [[[getMarkerPos currentAO , 2500]],["water","out"]] call BIS_fnc_randomPos; to
     
    _position = [getMarkerPos currentAO, 10, 2500, 10, 0, 0.1, 0, [], [0,0,0]] call BIS_fnc_findSafePos; Technically there's a whole loop there to ensure it's a flat and empty space, but it's probably not necessary because BIS_fnc_findSafePos has its own gradient detection (that's what the 0.1 is for in that statement).

    If you name your landing pad GH_1_pad, then that's it's object variable name. So:

    We use a custom respawn script, afaik it's not the original vehicle that respawns it's a newly spawned vehicle.  This brings it's problems but also has it's advantages.  For stuff that you'd normally put in the init of a vehicle simply put it in fn_vsetup02.sqf (functions/vehicle).  And if needed apply the correct 'filter' so it's not executed on each and every vehicle.

    Been playing on the EU AW ARMA3 I&A servers for a few weeks now and loving it. Just thought I'd drop a note here to say hello, I'm [PWH]b0k a.k.a. Dave Pearson, currently living in Hungary and getting most excellent pings on the EU servers too
    I'm a musician when I'm not blowing things up in ARMA, been involved with computers since I started work over 30 years ago. My current job is very focussed on GIS mapping systems, so I really appreciate the work gone into ARMA3. I also currently play for kicks CS:S, TF2 and a handful of flightsims, also any games where you get that "real world environment" like SR3, GTA4 really appeal to me as well.
     
    I've been playing the BI franchise ever since op flash came out all those years back and knew even back then that this was no ordinary game. I remember wandering out into the middle of nowhere and realising for the first time that it's up to *you* on how you finish a mission, no steering down transparent corridors like some of the other so-called "war games" where you're actually being forced to finish a level in a set way by the designer, in BI's world it's all tactics, tactics tactics
     
    I've already made a posting about the ARMA3 heli glitching on the bug forum which I hope you all have voted up on the BI site now, looks like we actually have someone assigned so thanks to all who voted it up. To those that haven't, please still vote it up to make sure it keeps the attention focussed on it - at the moment it just looks like a handful of people are affected but we all know about the curse of rotors falling off with glitching players - contrary to what everybody seems to think BI haven't been looking at fixing this bug up to now. So please vote it up on the BI feedback tracker site too if you know what I'm rambling on about here!

    Anyway hope to see you on the servers soon and special thanks to the support medics and pilots who always seem to do a really pro job on the I&A servers, those two roles are very thankless but very necessary ones so I always try to say "thx" to them on side channel

    I've been coming to the Ahoyworld EU#2 server for the last couple of days now and I've thoroughly enjoyed myself with both the performance and members of the server.
     
    As such I've decided to sign up for the party as well and hope to contribute to others having the same ammount of fun that I've been getting here.

    @Thanks R. Berezon! Hopefully some of the guys on here have made a difference too - I've been getting quite evangelistic every time we get the heli glitch on ahoyworld and asking people to vote up too - it's one of these things where everybody *thinks* something is being done but actually it's bottom of the pile When I found the report it had been relegated to "cosmetic" and now after asking nicely it's back to where it belongs as "Physics", we have someone assigned and I'm sure all these extra votes are helping too... I really love this game and I would love it so much more if this ever got fixed. Thanks for the support too as I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post but I think given the timeframe we need to make sure this gets picked up properly by BI, so please anybody else reading this it's still not too late to make a difference and VOTE it up - it's free and easy and you know it's the right thing to do
    @Porkpye, I agree it *is* funny the first time you see it, true.. but after the nth time it just gets so soul destroying to see 15+ people wiped out by bad physics, again and again

    This is my first post and I'd just like to say first of all "Hi!" to everyone and also to say how much I enjoy playing on Invade & Annex on the EU servers, and have done for a long time now!
     
    But there's one thing that really affects my enjoyment and although I've labelled this as a bug I'm pretty sure it's not just on the I&A servers at ahoyworld. But please admins, let me post this here to get the attention it deserves, for all our sanity...
     
    Ever noticed on a full passenger loaded heli how many players glitch outside and randomly jump up and down as you fly? yeh, me too. And when they slam eventually into the rotors, it's a firey death guaranteed for everybody on board.
     
    As everyone on the ahoy servers are constantly talking about this glitch I just assumed that it's being dealt with by those nice BI peeps.
     
    Sp today i checked on the BI forum to find out when it's fixed.

    TWELVE PEOPLE HAVE VOTED IT UP.
     
    Out of how many hundreds, thousands? This is bizzare. It's an absolute show stopper yet nobody is even noticing it's there!
     
    Could I please ask everybody who sees this post and knows exactly what I'm talking about (that's at least 39 other peeps I play with on a packed server!) go and register on BI's bug reporting system NOW using that link and vote this baby up to get it the attention it deserves!
