Report: over the last versions, starting with Altis release, and ending with "big content package", Invade and Annex deeply changed from "infantry+support vehicle fighting hardly to control areas with a minimum tactical level required" to "massive army brawling towards poor NPCs that never asked anything" (Of course I caricature slightly). Differently said, a large part of the players are now in powerfull vehicles (several choppers, tanks, armored, GMG weapons, superstrike artillery) while the rest is still enough big to swarm any town. It's no more about taking a town, a camp, it's about farming the entire map It's only my personnal opinion. I know I play less than I used to do, mostly because the addition of my middle powered computer + the super optimization of Arma makes the game very laggy for me. But thus I'm able to stand back more between each I&A release (which is why I allow myself to suggest this), and I also had a few people agreeing with my feeling: in a few words, I&A is less and less tactical. I'd personnally would enjoy more tactic like "back in the days" (even if I love vehicles as well) Temporary ingame fix: ask people to use less vehicle (doh) Story: "As a player that enjoyed Strasis I&A, I'd appreciate a come back of the tactical aspect of the mod" Suggestions: -remove a large part of the vehicles (random chance to get one of a random type, but not all together)? -split the players between several objectives that does not require only a spotter+artillery? -make the vehicle respaw very longer, or no respawn at all? -add tasks that do not require only pure firepower, but other skills, like infiltration, protection, rescue...? -? PS I know it's only my personnal opinion, and a simple global feeling. Nothing very strong. But at least for me, it reduces a bit the awesome fun with have on I&A; maybe I'm wrong, but in case we are several to share the opinion, I prefer posting it.

  6. Report: the current version is not working for anything related to repair&refuel scripts. It's impossible to repair or refuel both choppers and ground vehicles. Temporary ingame fix: crash vehicles (if they respawn) Story: "As driver, I would like to be able to refuel my vehicles, despite the price of the fuel"
  7. It happened to me on US yesterday. But again, the "drop" is not due to I&A (since it happens to other players of other servers & mods, on BI forums). Which is the reason why I updated you on this. Basically: I'm f****, but you can not change it
  8. Report: I dislike (yeah, it's only my opinion, not a fact this time) the new spawn&camera system of I&A. Reasons: -I hate toggling camera like on a console game that would lack some better feature, especially when they are 40+ people on server -I do not understand what that system is bringing to I&A -It does not help the loading of the game to end it by a camera-in-motion system -Dead people can no longer know if there is a medic nearby (respawn or not) -It's not precised anywhere what to do (and in every game I joined today, some people were asking the new song "how do I spawn") Temporary ingame fix: ask on coms if there is a medic nearby (spam more) Story: "As a player, I would like having a game as light as possible to keep it smooth and simple, giving me only important information such as the distance between me and the nearest medic." Suggestions: -remove that new system -display the distance between the dead player and the nearest medic (but then please make sure the first "deathcam" is set on the dead player and not a random guy) -prevent the system to run for the real first spawn (after map loading) -Fix Arma 3 desyncs and FPS problems please Jester, buahahahahaha -?
  9. A small update. It happens again on I&A for me for 2 days, even while I've setup everything in low (to counter A3 terrible optimization, small FPS drops near towns, amount of objects on Altis, etc.). The good news for Jester, is that my own case seems to happen to other people as well, not only on I&A (I'm spending 1 hour a day on BI forums, and several people reported that issue). The bad news is that it's only one of the multiple FPS problems we can have on Arma. I&A still has its own FPS problems (probably due to whatever script), since I do not have any issue on the PVP missions.
  10. Report: a window is showing today on 100% of the games I played (after A3 update). It could be related only to the update, but it could as well be related to the code of the mod. It happens very early (after server restart).   11. Well, the point of reporting bugs is actually to have people to check if it comes from the Addon or of the mod used with the addon.
  12. Report: After today's EU#2 server crash, I joined the new game as pilot. 10 minutes after I joined, those codelines errors started popping. Back on that game the only addons I was running were CBA and the Tactical map Running line: ("E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\arma3.exe" -skipIntro -noPause -maxmem=2047 -maxVRAM= 2047 -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=7 -noSplash -high sets -world=empty -nologs -mod=@CBA_A3;@sthud). For some vote reasons we were playing in Veteran mode (however I have no idea how it could damage anything) but it's the first time I have both criteria at the same time.   13. For me removing the clouds did not change anything. After like 30 minutes (you were on TS) I had the FPS drop again (20->50 to 5-15). No idea, like you know. Whatever, you spend a lot of time on this, thanks anyway. I'll wait for 3.0 ;p

  17. @Jester: I already tried the solution of BigAl, but it's not the same issue. BigAl had the FPS problem permanently as long as he was on a server. Since I'm a nice former game technical support guy, I reinstalled both graphic card drivers (after a rollback test) and DirectX, this time with the Arma files. I played on a pretty empty servers (we were 3 pilots waiting for players to log in). FPS: 20-55 (depending on when I was looking towards building, or the empty sea). After a while, we started playing with more people. We were like 9-12 on the server. Suddently, while we had the main mission "Tempest" + side mission "Destroy Chopper" running together for like 20 minutes, my FPS dropped again from 20-30 to 5-10. So I can confirm that: -It's not the same problem than BigAl (who does not have the same graphic card builder anyway) -Your previous fixes changed (and improved a lot ) the global FPS, but did not fix the FPS drops -The drops does not seem to be related to any of the following (amount of players connected, amount of NPCs on the map) Maybe a particles emiter that spawns thousands of particles somewhere, maybe a real memory leak, I do not know. Sidenote: it still seems I start lagging when the clouds in the sky get from "white" type to "grey type". Again, I think the weather system is the key, but I can not be sure of it.
  18. Hello Jester, as asked, I'm reporting some news about that bug you gently tried to fix on the previous version. The average FPS is really better (where I had 15-20, I've now 20-25 even by pushing some settings to very high/ultra [which I could not do on the previous versions]). But ! I've still drops. Today, after 30 minutes playing, my FPS dropped from 15-20 to 5-10 again. It was coming arround 17-18 when I was not "aiming" something (example: not looking arround me in a chopper). But as long as I was turning the camera, it was dropping badly. Over the 10 minutes I tried to play, the "average" slowly dropped to reach the 4-6, at which point I had no choice but leave. So, either your last updates fixed part of the problem; but not all of it, either my wife hacked I&A servers to prevent me to play
