We tested this yesterday pretty intently and it seems like there is a definite change in the AI, both in the heavily wooded area's and in open area's. Granted that the AI is not perfect and they do sometimes make some questionable shots usually you have time to react. BUt you gotta have decent situation awareness to find and fire back.

I kicked you because i was told that it was not the first time you flew away from the base with nobody in your chopper, so i was keeping an eye on you while i was in zeus at the time that i kicked you and there was not any AA around the base so IDK what was shooting you. Next time hop on TS or ask for your slot back and id be happy to give it back. As long as you are abiding by the rules.

Hello everybody, i will be doing a basic flight school for I&A this week.
Anybody can be a good pilot, you do not need a joystick or TrackIR. I started flying with my mouse and keyboard when Arma 1 was released i then flew with TrackIR and a logitec G940 which was awesome
but now that those no longer work after 2 years abuse im back to my mouse and keyboard.
Dslyecxi from shack tactical fly's with mouse and keyboard but he has TrackIR. Now If you have a joystick you do have a pretty decent advantage and better control on your landings, but if the approach is proper, a landing should be pretty simple. And like they say practice makes perfect, if the servers are empty or you are board hop on the editor and fly around push your self and find ways to make your flight safe.
You will not receive any kind of special treatment over others when it comes to who gets a pilot slot!!!!
This is gonna be done on my own private server run off of my computer (10 Slot's) Maybe EU 4 if it is available.
If you are not able to land/take off without autohover, i suggest you practice more in your editor and join us the next time i do one of these.

Note some of the thing's i will teach you might push you past your comfort zone, but its gonna be just us in the server so if you do mess up just learn from it, thats the point of using the editor and little classes like this.
Get in while you can, depending on my work schedule i might be able to do 2 in one day.

I would really like the idea. I hope i can get a day off the day it comes out. One thing is it will take some time for the staff to get IA working on a new map like apex. So we will have to run a different game mode.

Well once you become a member of AW for some time you can get promoted to Field Ambassador then to Spartan, once you get spartan you get zeus
Just be as active as you can set a good example and the staff will take notice -

I have not been very active the last couple days cause i have been having some issues with my Arma 3 launcher and cannot get it to start properly. When ever i start it i freezes up on me and crashes. I have verified my game cache and did a fresh install of the game and its still not working. Currently in the process of trouble shooting it with BH and hopefully will get it running soon.

It should work fine... As long as you are sure it is the stratis version.
I will download the mission myself and see if i have the same problem, if i do i will try and find the problem. -

Yeah i get what you are trying to say Amentes. What exactly is wrong with ACRE/TFAR? Ive used it a few times in arma 2 and had some great expereince with it.

The native system just is not going to work. With teamspeak we will need to figure out the permission's and make sure the regular player's can whisper with admin's.
And we dont know if it will fail with the radio mods unless we try it. Maybe for the second week.
I agree with a Poll to decide which mod's to put on the server.

The ingame VON would lag waaay to much i would think. So maybe giving TFAR a shot would be a good idea.
